Quick heads up - Microsoft have discounted their HP Stream 7" Signature Edition tablet to £74.99 from £99.99. Just after Christmas, these were in the sale at £79.99 so this is a cracking buy: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/pdp...
Bought last night, a wristwatch I've wanted since I first saw James Bond: Goldeneye when I was about 11 years old. Certainly frivolous as I already have not only a watch, but also another Omega. I just like them.
Anyway, it's this one, the Omega Seamaster Professional 2541.80 (the Quartz one).
Mine doesn't have a laser or anything though I'm afraid...

I bought one in the after Christmas sale (for £74.99) and it is an amazing bit of kit for such a small price. Full windows 8.1 and you can load any windows compatible software on there...boxst said:

I mainly use Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio - and whilst it'd mostly be connected to a proper monitor, BT keyboard/mouse onsite, it'd be perfect if I could also create/amend documents on the train...

I think, based on what you've said, that it'll fly.
The sort of thing I do isn't packed full of pivot tables or animations, so whilst I handle a reasonable amount of data it shouldn't kill it!
Sod it, for 75 quid plus a BT keyboard/mouse it's worth a shot instead of spanking a bag on a Surface Pro...
Just picked this case/keyboard up to go with it: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/gg-gr...
Cheap little set up for when I'm on site and trekking round London etc.

What shop am I about to visit?
I got mine from the Wurth shop in Gothenburg (near where I live in Sweden) but I just had a quick look and there is a Wurth UK online store which stocks something very similar:http://www.wurth.co.uk/hand-tools/bits-and-accesso...

Does someone who has an iPhone, iPad and a Macbook need one of these simply because it's such good value?Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
