I am doing a lot of rib driving at the moment, both at sea and on Scottish lochs.

I have a perfectly good set of offshore spec clothes.

I did however need another drysuit:

http://www.musto.com/sailing-clothing/hpx/hpx-ocea...

Which then meant I needed a couple of drysuit bags to house this one, and my rescue suit.

And then I found I could get embroidered monogrammed drysuit bags
http://www.seaskin.co.uk/acatalog/Bags_and_Pouches...

The trouble then is that my existing kit bag isn't big enough to take two drysuits, two piece offshore gear, buoyancy aid, lifejacket, gloves, two sets of boots, radios, locator beacons etc.

The obvious thing to do then is to buy a bag to take everything, and it matches my new drysuit!

Mmm. I just returned my HP Stream to Microsoft (the process was surprisingly easy). I used it with headphones for the first time yesterday and it was completely unusable. Every time a sound played there was a very loud electrically buzzing even though it wasn't being charged. Having a quick scan on the internet, it is a common problem.

If anyone would like a case for theirs, let me know and I will send you the one I bought for free (this one although no-one has it in stock anymore: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QY30FAW?psc=... )

On the plus side, I have some money to spend on more stuff smile

Quick heads up - Microsoft have discounted their HP Stream 7" Signature Edition tablet to £74.99 from £99.99. Just after Christmas, these were in the sale at £79.99 so this is a cracking buy: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/pdp...
I bought one in the after Christmas sale (for £74.99) and it is an amazing bit of kit for such a small price. Full windows 8.1 and you can load any windows compatible software on there...
Getting very interested in one, as my personal laptop when consulting with clients.

Quick question - how usable is Office? I mainly use Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio - and whilst it'd mostly be connected to a proper monitor, BT keyboard/mouse onsite, it'd be perfect if I could also create/amend documents on the train...
Mmmm. Office is very usable, but it is a 1gb memory teeny thing. So I can use it to edit spreadsheets, create documents, send mail etc... but it certainly is way short of being a laptop replacement. If you want to create documents on your laptop and then view/edit on the train then this is good for that. I use dropbox to sync so all the documents I'm working on are always available.
Why not just use onedrive? Built into win 8.1.

I will have to check the one I bought. I got it as a gift, so not used it yet.

Not sure what case to get, was thinking of one of the thin silicone ones.

I got a universal one from Tesco for 7-8 inch tablets, and it barely fits. So avoid those!

Leads me on to my purchase, a Linx 8. Really amazed at what £89 gets you, what a great bit of kit to have. Just need to pick up a micro SD during the week at some point. It even plays Doom 3..

My dad had 2 volvo estates

A P reg (1976)auto and a B reg (1984) manual

Both bought secondhand, he ran the P from 1978 to 1989 then bought the B reg which lasted him until 2004

He'd had the B reg about 2 years when he saw his old P reg parked in the town, it really pissed him off as he'd have kept it if he knew it'd still be going.

I took him to Cambridge airport in 1980 in the auto , I'd only been driving 6 months and never an auto

As I approached the main road I automatically went for the clutch and stopped dead much to the annoyance of the guy behind me who shat himself

This probably counts given that I already have a Logitech Smart Control

Hints as to what it is might be nice smile
Sorry, it's a universal remote on kickstarter:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1227115988/ne...
Also ordered one. My first 'go' at kickstarter, hope it goes well as it sounds like the product I have been looking for for a long while.

In the spirit of the thread I already have various universal remotes including a Sony Android tablet which I bought purely as it was supposed to make a good remote, it didn't

Because they don't do the drysuit in red?

We're still working on what clothing to use for the rescue boat when we get operational, this is just for fun stuff!

Well Thursday saw me making another frivolous purchase, hitched a lift from a mate up to Wallasey and ended up driving home with this.....

Not that I have the space for it, with allready having a 206 GTi 138, 206 2L Hdi, 206 GTi 180 & a 306 GTi-6
Bought simply because i've always liked the look of them since I wasn't even old enough to look over the steering wheel.

Does this count?

I remember you worrying about getting the GTI 180 whilst you still had the GTI on the nightshift thread bloody years ago. The fact that you now have 5 pugs is bloody brilliant. rofl

Also love the look of those old 406 Coupes, still look lovely now.

rofl I can't stand pug's at all me hehe My mum doesn't know about this one yet... I've had it since Thursday haha.

Aye they do look good even with the age, much better than the 407 that replaced it I think. When I was really young I spent a day in the arcades in Cornwall whilst on Holiday getting as many tickets as I could, and at the end of the day exchanged them for a proper scale model kit of a 406 Coupé that I still have somewhere now. It was getting that model that made me want one of these.

I've always loved the look of those, nearly bought a 3.0ltr one to strip out, cage, and use as a ring car. Until EVERYONE said I'd be mental to do so. biggrin

Just realised this bag of crap counts

Needed a car for a few days to get around in whilst mine was away for some work. Now I have my car back I'm not sure what to do with the shed. Jacked it up over the weekend and the underside seems solid. Skirts are bonded on to the front and rear wings though.
