I have a tritium keyring from at least 10 years ok.
It still looks exactly the same as it always did.

What exactly can you do with it though?

From what I can tell, a frivolous amount of nothing? wink
Yeah not sure... I just have always wanted to have some. Much like my most people haven't heard, seen, or touched it. Want a bigger block of it but price goes up accordingly - basically just paying significant amount for air!

As you may recall I've recently built a set of Stormtrooper armour and joined the 501st to troop for charity, they require 100% movie accurate costumes and often attend local high streets, comic con events and children's wards etc raising money. Now it's done I've decided to have a little fun with it. My first frivolous purchase was a voice amplifier, simply because with the helmet on you can't really speak clearly, more of a muffle. Then the other day I found this amazing piece of kit...

http://www.electronics123.com/kits-and-modules/Aud...

The little pads are attached to the fingers and pressed with the thumb. The circuit board is loaded with sound via the USB so in a nutshell you have a portable sound device that can be worn inside a stormtrooper glove. It can be programmed with radio chatter (TK-421, why aren't you at your post? wink ), blaster sounds that will activate when the pressure pad contacts the trigger and other random noises.
Could be great fun for other costumes, halloween etc as well!

This has no place on this thread, because this is clearly an *essential* purchase that you absolutely *need*. biggrin

No need for it what so ever. I've already got a watch.

At risk of invalidating the frivolity though, the sleep tracking and sonos control possibilities will be useful.
What are they? Android Wear?

Damn it. Definitely not needed!

I've bought a few pieces from Heroic before and besides the great art, their customer service is outstanding.

ETA: This is my favourite one that I've purchased from them.

I was in Festival Place in Basingstoke over Christmas and they had something like this - a Darth Vader, several Stormtroopers, a couple of Scouts, an Imperial Guard, and a few other characters. It was brilliant.
One of the Scouts had an absolutely enormous beer gut, which was quite amusing. Not sure how his Speeder Bike would keep up with the others, but never mind. It was still brilliant.

I'd love a set of Stormtrooper armour. I would keep it on a mannequin in my front hall like a suit of armour in a Stately Home. hehe

Steve Thomas' art is superb. He does lots of retro style posters for pop culture like Star Wars, Tron, etc.

I would absolutely love to buy some of his stuff.

I do absolutely need it. Daughter did as well (she's a snow trooper). Husband is a scout trooper actually, no beer gut though wink he has thus far resisted electronic trickery. I suspect when this arrives that may change.
Storm trooper is currently stood (mannequin) in corner of dining room. We are moving soon to a bigger place so hope eventually to have all three on mannequins.

Indeed, looking to have another bespoke piece done by them as the Wolverine pic above was after a couple of weeks of emails to get exactly what I wanted.

Well my Heinnie Haynes order arrived frown but unfortunately the Shemagh is filthy. It looks like someone wiped their arse with it. It's odd because it was all sealed up in the bag. Suffice to say I've sent them a complaint which I'm sure they'll sort out.

Have you got a helmet fan? The TK lids steam up something chronic. I thought the fan I had in mine was more than adequate until the first time I trooped on a cold day and I went practically blind after 30 seconds!

I just sold the last parts of my TK, and my Jedi. Now Im down to USCM Marine, USCM Smartgunner and Malcolm Reynolds...

..although im sure my interest will peak again come December!
