I promised myself I wouldn't spend anymore money... looks amazing bit of kit for $500, but is it worth $1000?
That was the same man maths I did in my head too.

So I thought for $500 U.S. It's worth a punt.

I am sure we will get slapped for duty into the UK though! Just hope they put the purchase price down in the customs declaration and not the retail price though!

I was just thinking that, shame it has a max speed of 25mph...
Yes I realised that, but would be good to throw it up at the start line to see how long it keeps up!

That's cool.
It's being used in wide open spaces in the video, I couldn't see anything about how it detects or avoids obstacles.

And don't forget the soil moisture sensor http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gardena-1188-20-Soil-Moist...

I think a portion of my student loan refund will be going on this setup smile
I bought this one - 4 outlets, fully automatic.

It's $40 in the USA, had it shipped to Saudi Arabia and will be taking it home this week.

Is the GFs birthday present a frivolous purchase?

I'm open to suggestions.

I'm genuinely very tempted.

She has a ford KA and I keep on trying to get her to switch to a Fiat 500. The cover would show I am happy to compromise.

Do a Joey Tribbiani and put the cover over cardboard boxes, she'll think she's got a car when in fact it's just a cover.

Just pre ordered one of these drones!

They are doing 50% off at the moment for pre orders too.

Use my link below and I get something for referring other people too!

How utterly, utterly cool is that! Especially when they just throw it up in the air to launch.

Incidentally, a friend who runs drone cameras professionally and knows a thing or two about them says "Brilliant but completely illegal to use in the UK and most of Europe, even at the hobby level" frown

hehe

Further info from my friend is that the CAA are unlikely to have the resources to enforce / police the regulations so it will be technically illegal to use but.... whistle
