I realise that frivolous purchases are somewhat pointless - but what are you going to do with it??

Not quite as flash as the tracking ones, but a lot more affordable...

I now need one of these FPV Quadcopters to replace the perfectly good quadcopter with a camera I already have...

Damned Banggood

God knows thought that was the point of this thread!

Seriously though he is for display purposes only!

He will be joining Gordon freeman, the zero gravity gun, and all the other half life stuff we have!

Oh and the two robots from Portal 2 as well!

Quite. Anyone who has to ask the question doesn't get the thread.

I have a display case full of Gundam Figurations I bought in Singapore, Kaneda + bike from Akira, a model of Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, a model of Master Chief, a Warthog + figures, a TIE fighter, an original die cast Y-Wing from when I was a kid, and all sorts of other gaming and Anime st. The reason? Because I like it. Why do you need a reason?

Because? Because I like. End of.

Edit:
Pic of Warthog...

Indeed! Our random collection of nerd chintz is along those lines too: models of Chell and Gordon, Quake 2 figures, big bad dude from Elder Scrolls, Star Wars models and Lego (including a Millenium Falcon and a Rebel Blockade runner) Oh and a display case full of 70/80/90s pocket computers. nerd

However our most recent frivolous purchase is a 2 ft high blue Buddha head which is now sitting in our overgrown garden, looking quite magnificent I must say! biggrin

Bought this even though I didn't really need it. It costs three times the normal one.

This is a schweet pedal.

I found one very similar in a car that was bought in through the trade , the perks of being the valeter back in the day .
It's in my stash of things that I hope will be worth a bit in the future .

Judging by the state of your lawn, or lack of it! I think I bit more than just a sprinkler is required! smilesmile

You mean to say that just watering soil won't give me a luscious lawn?! yikes

You caught me mid landscaping the garden. Many more frivolous purchases to come...

Oh look its a CO2 detector for a car. Why the hell did I buy it and what I am going to do with it?

My car is 2008 and I don't service it, and I am not really bothered about the output from the lawnmower.

But it was cheap.
