Got a pair of V-Moda M100 Blacks.

In the UK they are £250, just got them for a cool £158 using Amazon.it

http://www.amazon.it/dp/B00A39PPDK/ref=pe_386201_4...

They are supposed to be an amazing set of headphones and often ranked in the top 5 regardless of price.

I'm not sure if this actually qualifies as frivolous or something I don't need but I'm awaiting delivery of one of these.

(T. Rex head not a bloke in a shirt)
I think it does on both counts! hehe Well done sir!

If I had $15,000 I would get a full size one from these guys:

And put it so its head sticks over the fence into the neighbours garden. evilbiggrin

1955 Le Mans winning D Type, by AutoArt.
I only ever buy AutoArt models (don't know why!) and I've wanted this since it came out.
Doing up a house has rinsed every bit of my spare cash, and some! So when there was a brief lull in house-based expenditure, I instantly spent it on this!!

Hmmm. My initial thought was that it was just a glorified digital picture frame. But I can see now that the "value added" part is that they plan to carefully filmed the videos to be as convincing as possible as to give the illusion that it's a window.

Interesting.

I think the biggest innovation is that it's a screen you can put anywhere. Literally, anywhere. On a wall, on a desk, a counter, by your bed, it's astonishing.

Why have no other device manufacturers ever attempted such a gamechanger?

That, and the fact that if you go for the 'World' option, you are essentially paying an extra 4 grand to buy one of their staffers a holiday.

I can see why it'd be quite nice in a claustrophobic apartment in a bustling city centre, not much point if you've got real views though...

Or a picture that doubles up as an alarm clock and tells you the weather/news whilst in bed... quite cool.

Never really seen the need for audio though. A picture frame yes, but noise coming from it, nah.

Which will only look convincing if you are in one specific spot and don't move in any direction whilst viewing it, otherwise it will look like a 2D image.

Go big or go home. That is a half-size T-rex.

Here's a replica Stan skeleton:

Is everything cheap in Italy at the moment?

I just bought a Lithium Ion motorcycle battery from an Italian seller for about 66% of the price a UK seller wanted for it.
