Braved the music, a few rolled eyes, but nothing. Already lost a bolt somewhere, and fook me they go some distance. Bwahahahahahaaaaa! (Shame about a missing cocking rope - doing by hand is murder!

Found out why. First shot was around 20m, and it has totally buried itself in the ground. Gone, completely. How do I know this? Fired 'just to see how far it would go'.... at around 75m I found the bolt buried in the ground up to its flights.

He and his dad went out into the field by his house with it and set up some targets, of course this being a new crossbow they are making mistakes for the first time... 1 target just a little bit too far away, 6 shots fired before the thought of losing the bolts pops into his dads' mind and 3 weeks wait for more from mail order

Don't really need it, there's already a Shogun, Impreza, 106, and quad bike at home. An eBay accident. That, was a bargain! I need a new run around & want something cheap & fun & one of those could turn in to an accidental bid... This thread shouldn't be viewed as an inspiration should it! I really want a Leatherman, with no need whatsoever for one. I'm generally pretty good on frivolous purchases, I.e. practising restraint (except for nights out, then there is no restraint)

Been at Bramham Eventing today. A chap with a Stall selling Binoculars and Scopes. Excellent and remarkable performance for relatively little - said to the OH I want one, but have no use for them. Driving home, I remembered, I already have a set

Now I had something that looked like that but had a petrol engine in the middle. I got it from eBay in about 2006 but junked it last year as the auto clutch went and I could not get any spares for it, some Chinese crap. It was pretty cool when it went, but heavy and I had some nasty spills on it. Going over forward was the worst and nearly broke my toes.

But it's dirt cheap so what's the worst that can happen? Worst case it goes bang and you break it for parts. Best case it is frikkin AWESOME It is done. On my driveway now...

It's currently lying at home, exhaust-less, and the manifold is at my mates workshop for some drilling and heli-coiling, while I order some new studs and gaskets. Minor problem really, but it's annoying, I'm missing a "fun night" at the local hillclimb track this week because of this!

I was rather bad and bought one of these bad boys and 3 extra mags on Friday, mine has a Romanian stock (wire folding stock) rather than the full wood one. Used it at a skirmish on Saturday and people were scared s tless by the sound... much louder than a normal GBBR By the way despite being full metal and wood, strips down like a real steel one too, its still a toy!
