I mentioned, a little while ago, some Logic3 Ferrari headphones I'd picked up.

I really liked them, more for the build and materials than any absolute desire for audiophile self gratification.

So I looked at the others in the range, and did a little digging to see if I could pick up some of the others as cheaply.

The answer, it appears, was 'yes'.

The entire range, for less than a mid range pair was originally priced at.

I wasn't entirely convinced I needed 1 set, 9 may be overkill. smile

Are you actually going to wear them out in the street?

I think they'll look about as bad as the ferrari jackets, hats and everything else...

Trawled eBay and Amazon mainly.

Couple came from Bigpockets, others whoever had them.

Just grabbed when they appeared cheap, didn't mean to get the lot, just sort of happened.

Not the ones in the red highlighted boxes, with the shields. No. Way too gaudy.

The leather clad ones are a lot more subtle and, yes, I have worn outside, but I really don't tend to wear headphones in public much.

My first 20MB (Yes, 20MB) HDD was a couple of weeks wages in 1990 !
Yup. I remember in 1990 having an argument with my landlady's brother who was a retired IBM engineer, with him arguing that you simply could not get 1GB on a single PC HDD. When I showed him an advert in the current issue of Computer Shopper for one, he still wouldn't believe me. The drive was 5.25" form factor, full height, and cost £1,100. eek
I recently bought a 4Tb drive for about £150. I remember buy an 80Gb drive and thinking its probably the more space than I'll ever need....then I bought a 250Gb.....then a 500Gb....then a 1Tb smile

Nice that. This keeps tickling my fancy...

Currently on offer at £350 for the cabinet and chest. If I see it at £300 again I'll buy it.

I was sorely tempted but, against the spirit of this thread, I decided that I couldn't justify spending nearly double, so I reigned it back in again.

I remember my dad buying his first HDD.

It was for his Tandy TRS-80 Model 2 Business computer in perhaps 1980. It was in a case the size of a full size desktop computer, consisted of two 8" platters, and cost something like £2000 (which in those days was a LOT of money and could buy you a decent car). It had a capacity of 8Mb.

Yes, megabytes. Not gigabytes.

My first HDD was a 20Mb MFM drive in my Tandy IBM-compatible, sometime in the mid-to-late 80's.

I have the same, I paid £400 for it at John Lewis, mind if I ask how much they are now? I got mine about 6 months ago.

Almost got the Zeppelin air, but it was an awkward shape and size to fit into my rather cosy living room and this fits perfectly under the TV.

The warm glow is lovely, isn't it? I do find the bass boost useless though - way too boomy.
As far as I know the values are illuminated by LED rather than, them selves, glowing...

Apart from that it's a nice unit.

Huge turnover, small profit. Re-branded as Time UK.

You could always build one, class A amps are pretty simple the main costs are the transformers and your time. Though obviously this is far outside the realms of anyone purchasing frivolously smile

I built a mono amp for about £120ish about 11 years ago I think, I don't think stereo would be double that though....

I had one of these moments when I walked into halfords the other day. Ended up buying this lot...

The box's the floor mat and the wall containers. All part of my man cave/garage project but completely unplanned.

The 202 isn't a million miles off what Samsung were asking as an RRP for theirs originally. hehe

The iPlay functionality is the crucial function for me.
The Samsung units originated at £599 so quite some way off
