Mine:- http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Spyder_III_Pro_...http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wicked...^ youtube videos of said purchase in action It is stupidly powerful, quite frankly dangerous and completely unnecessary. I've been looking at it for months online and the other day I just caved, knowing that I was going to buy one eventually, so I may as well just "get it out of the way." I am like this sometimes, I see something and I cant stop myself. It is just a matter of time before I buy it, even though I have no need, use or anything else for the item in question. The problem is, I know some of you are like it too. So go on then, what did you lot buy that was stupidly expensive, useless, cool, etc etc etc?

I bought the top-range Mac Mini 3-weeks ago, because I got excited when I saw it.
Haven't used it yet...

Minichamps 1/43 F1 cars... I must have about 30 something of the little blighters.. Even though they cost £40 each they make me grin like a 10 year old at Christmas..
And all i do is just look at them slowly gathering dust in front of my laptop..

I'm quite bad for this actually, especially if the stuff is a "bargain" Case in point - I got a ~ £550 refund off my mobile provider the other month and as I had already "spent" that money it felt like free cash so on a trip into town for a coffee I went and bought a 2nd hand PS3 and a game, after essentially ignoring it's existance for a week I played on it for an hour to two and that's been about that. Even worse because half of the "man maths" justification for getting it was that I could then watch blu-rays in my bedroom I then needed a TV to replace the crappy CRT I'd got in there (what's the point of BD in standard def?) so I bought one off a guy at work and after dutifully installing said TV and PS3 in the bedroom a couple of weeks back I've watched about an hour of stuff on it

Virtually everything I own!
I probably need a basic car to get to work without looking like a drowned rat (so a motorbike's out), but I don't need an RX8 - An old Micra would do.
I don't _need_ my own PC, iPad, Flat Screen TV, Diving gear, bicycles, cameras, etc, etc, etc.

And got get me on the the camera gear under the bed... 1. It has no purpose. All I am going to do with it is burn stuff and try not to blind myself and others. And look at it when inebriated and go "whoah... that's cool.... I'm hungry." 2. It actually does come with a few settings, among which are low power (about 20% power) and the full whack setting. With the full whack setting the beam can be seen over 4 miles away, can blind people damn near immediately and burn through leather! There are 7 other settings also but they aren't particularly interesting
