800 quid for a Stormtrooper bust. It was a limited edition from San Diego Comic Con and cost me 400 initially.
(I spent about 3 years collecting Gentle Giant busts and statues with the aim of flogging them off a few years later - made about 2 grand all in).

I ended up getting £92 for a copy of Red Dead Redemption on the xbox, from a no reserve auction, shortly after it was released and subsequently sold out in the shops. Can't complain!

Just over £5k for my Gold Blue Peter badge when eBay pulled my auction under the premise that the payments terms were outside the T&C's - b ds! It was in the top 5 trending auctions on eBay as well for a few days - something mad like 15,000 views. Still got the badge! Currently sat on the train going to pick up a car that I won for £2350, should normally retail for about 4k so this should be interesting

I'm nosey enough to demand answers for my powerfully built etc. etc.

It's bit of a dull purchase, but I recently bought some brand new and custom made plantation shutters for my dining room window for the grand sum of £35. It's pure fluke these were custom made for somebody else, but just so happened to fit my quite large window. Compared to the prices I had been getting, this was massive saving!
I also bought a Blitz SBC-id boost controller for about £100. Brand new and still boxed!

a couple of old subbuteo teams found in the loft went for a fair bit, some were quite obscure away/third choice strips back when clubs would change kits annually. if you see any unused complete sets at car boot sales they are usually worth a punt, particularly if its a smaller club.
