The VT Inbox is st quality compared to the Therion Dai, however if you want to get squonking on the cheap http://www.smokeyjoes.biz/product/kanger-dripbox-1... have the kanger 160 for £35 delivered! Bargain when paired with a decent clone BF atty like Velocity V2 etc. I was given an original Dripbox by a friend and have paired it with a velocity v2 and it's a cracking vape for such a cheap setup; had to swap out the BF pin for a velocity v1 pin but it's now working and squonking great - duall coiled at 0.19 with some Ni80 and it's going a treat, well impressed for <£40 UK sourced.
I bought the missis an original dripbox for Christmas....she's used it.....erm 0 times!!!! I've tried getting her off the stinkies for ages and spent a load on kit but it's not happening, so I'm having it!!! The tanks bloody awful though so will get a decent clone for this one. Really like the idea of squonking especially with a good TC mod.

Pretty much set on the Therion now, read up a little more on the Inbox and I think it's worth paying the extra for a better mod, with the Snappy v1.5 but will have to get the velocity posts!!!! The posts on my clone are a right pain in the arse. That aside its by fr the best dripper I've had for flavour. Really REALLY good smile

Ni80.....never used that Steve only ni200. Can that also be used in TC?

Have to agree with Stevo, the thereon has been a lovely bit of kit - atty excepted (going to get a hadaly come payday).

Only a couple of niggles - the battery holder is bloody tight, and has wrecked the wrap on a couple of batteries, and the stupid little plastic divider thing really irritates!

Otherwise a superb bit of kit...
Yep read a few complaints about the battery divider, can this be charged safely via USB or has to be battery out? Was looking at the VTC6 next or just get a couple more 30Q's.

Have you had any dry hits with the dna75 chip? The DNA40 was a bit of a pain to get right but never had a single dry hit with twisted ni200 so can't complain.

Well my stealthy outside vape the Envy 17 and Nano tank seems to be nearing its end of life, or I might be imagining it because of my new inside vape.
Anyway ordered another Kayfun5 this time from china and locally a Tesla Stealth 40w tc in white, small battery however only need it 4hrs at a time or so outside so should be fine.
Think looks cute.

I've got a Hadaly clone on the slow boat, looking forward to it arriving as think it'll suit my vaping style.

Ni80 is purely power mode, works great on a mech as it ramps quicker than kanthal but has lower resistance. You definitely need the velocity posts for the snappy as its a complete PITA to dual coil otherwise, but it bumps the price up another notch unless you can pick up a second hand one.

Iirc, you can charge via USB, but don't quote me on that as I'm more paranoid than most with these batteries and won't do it - everything goes on my nitecore.

I have learned the 'knack' to pull on the battery release strap in a certain way which seems to have sorted the issue.

You've raised a good point on dry hits. If I'm honest, I preferred the way the yihi sx chip works in temp mode. The way the dna tries to put a current through constantly will lead to dry hits with a dry wick. Not 'bad hits', but there. I get around this by giving the bottle a squeeze probably more than strictly necessary. I'm using twisted Clapton ni200 coils bought online.

I also find that with a cold coil, it takes a second or two of pulling to get any vapour. Can't understand why, I've played with the preheat settings to no avail, it could be the size of the delirium atty chamber I suppose?

However, as there's no yihi chipped squonkers available I'm happy enough. Very close to being the perfect mod.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a beginner's guide that isn't primarily advertising and doesn't use all the lingo please? I'm ready to get off the fags and reading through this thread is confusing the hell out of me biggrin

WTF is a squonker?

ETA: I know, it's certainly been asked before but have you seen how many pages there are to this thread? I would start at the beginning but I imagine like other long-lasting threads of it's ilk there will be a lot of dead links and outdated information :P

Seriously though, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Aspire Nautilus, or mini Nautilus, you won't go wrong.

Google them and read the reviews. If you're a 'regular' smoker, start on 18mgs and work your way down.

Luck.

^^^This^^^

Approaching 4 months off cigarettes, using an Aspire Nautilus Mini and 16mg juice, zero withdrawals, loving it.

Get a spare battery (I set mine to about 10 watts) keep it charged up, buy a spare glass bowl in case you drop yours and plenty of juice so you don't run out.

YouTube for user guides so it doesn't seem like a faff when you start using it (it's actually easier than cigs) and ask away with any other queries

Ok. Thanks all. Nautilus, 70mm of fluid, extra pack of coils ordered. Will I need an extra battery from the off?

Get into the habit of putting one on charge at night - It'll last you through the next day. Unless you're an 'old money' 40 a-day man! smile

Doubling-up on relatively inexpensive stuff, if affordable, would be the way to go. (Always have a back-up!) smile

Yes. Whatever you do, don't risk running out of anything. Buy 2 batteries and 2 tanks, and more juice than you think you'll need.

Haha no, I'm not a 40 a day guy but I do hate being ill prepared. I'll order an extra battery once I get it and see what is needed. I still have tobacco to go through as a back up so I should be ok until an extra battery arrives. Cheers both.

Be prepared for the odd dud coil, keep a spare in your car/office/wherever you might be, not having a coil is akin to running out of cigs in the middle of nowhere.

And when you first fill it with juice or when you change coils, allow the Jude to sit for a few minutes
