Thanks, I wouldn't have considered having a spare with me. I thought they were the sort of thing that wore out over time so I'll make sure I have a spare knocking about.
They are the sort of thing that wears out over time but, just occasionally, there's a dud, I had my 2nd (in 4 months) a couple of days ago, it was fine for a couple of days but gave up when I was 6 hours from getting home, I could've bought ciggies but I just went without because - whisper it - nicotine isn't actually that addictive You'll be fine, Cheedar

Ok. Thanks all. Nautilus, 70mm of fluid, extra pack of coils ordered. Will I need an extra battery from the off?
Yes. Whatever you do, don't risk running out of anything. Buy 2 batteries and 2 tanks, and more juice than you think you'll need. Spare batteries is the way to go.
I have looked in to extra batteries and shall be ordering one soon. Didn't realise that the set up I have ordered actually comes with 10ml of juice so I shall actully have 80ml to start with.
Also realised that the setup comes with 5 extra coils and I have ordered another 5 seperately so once the spare battery is ordered I should have a formidable cache of spares/juice etc.
Again thanks to all who have contributed for taking the time to post. Will update when I receive my equipment

Well done Nur, just as with not getting down to your last ciggy before buying more keep your cache well stocked, buy more coils when you have 5 left, more juice when you've still got 50ml and at least one spare glass bowl. After your initial outlay this stuff is cheap as chips so no need to skimp, try a few different juice flavours and always ensure you buy 16/18mg nicotine, at least for now
Oh and give your kit a quick rinse out when you change coils (should be about every 10 to 14 days)

Thanks, I have actually bought a 5ml bowl too which arrived today (ordered late last night, got to love amazon prime). I think the set up I have ordered comes with a spare 2ml bowl so I should be covered on that front. Will find out on tuesday when the rest arrives. After your initial outlay this stuff is cheap as chips so no need to skimp, try a few different juice flavours and always ensure you buy 16/18mg nicotine, at least for now

Thankfully there are some good vape shops in my area so new juices etc shouldn't be a problem with regards to maintaining a decent cache.
Has anyone else had any problems with a Smok Alien?
Tonight mine started to turn itself off, then a little later I could smell acrid burning from it. I've pulled the batteries and tested them. They seem fine.
I pulled the top off the mod and there is a little juice on the pcb but not a huge amount.
It's sitting in a tupperware tub full of silica gel right now just incase it is the moisture causing the problem. I've had to revert back to my trusty RX200S for now!!

Just something to think about, juice is very difficult to nail down. Don't buy big bottles at first, 5/10ml samples/testers is the way to go as a juice can taste different to different people. Sometimes you find something you like and order a big bottle then you try a tester of something new and you don't like the juice you have been vaping for the last 4 weeks. This is my current juice stash. Most of it is stuff I loved at one point but now can't stand, there is 150ml of Chill Ski in there that I loved but because of the menthal I can't touch it now. Out of this I just use the two in the top left, Moon Gold and Joast you can read the descriptions in the link http://craggyjuice.co.uk/our-juices. I will order 100ml of both and not touch anything else.
Always try to have two tanks with different juice. Sometime you use a juice so much you can't taste it anymore, often referred to a vapers tongue. So having an alternative helps.

Have to agree with Stevo, the thereon has been a lovely bit of kit - atty excepted (going to get a hadaly come payday).
Only a couple of niggles - the battery holder is bloody tight, and has wrecked the wrap on a couple of batteries, and the stupid little plastic divider thing really irritates!
Otherwise a superb bit of kit...
I've got a Hadaly clone on the slow boat, looking forward to it arriving as think it'll suit my vaping style. Only a couple of niggles - the battery holder is bloody tight, and has wrecked the wrap on a couple of batteries, and the stupid little plastic divider thing really irritates!

Finally got a 3mmid 24awg ni80 build at 0.68 and it's going fine if a little crackly; squonks well so far and the quality of the clone is exceptional - I'd be hacked off if I'd paid £75 given the hour of frustration it caused to get up and running, mainly due to using slotted screwheads instead of Philips or Allen.
I've found it airier than I thought and have shut off two airholes which makes it perfect for me - I've only tried one juice through it but the flavour is excellent, really good and better than my Velocity v2 which I use out and about on a dripbox.
Right then Ladies and Gentlemen, my gear has arrived (bar the extra battery which I am expecting later in the week). All in all I ordered the Aspire Nautilus premium kit, 70ml of juice, 5 extra coils and the extra 5ml bowl which handily came with a spare pyrex section and an additional coil so in total I have 13 coils, 2 complete bowl setups and a spare bowl section just in case.
I have filled the 2 bowls and am just giving the battery a bit of charge before I have a go but first impressions are that it all seems nicely made.
Just wanted to say thanks for all involved for your input and I shall post back shortly when I have a had a little go on it!

I am thinking you have an Aspire Nautilus with a 5ml capacity and an Aspire Nautilus Mini with a 2ml capacity. Does the 5ml one look like the left one in the picture?cheddar said:
Good stuff Nur, find your sweet spot with battery output and air hole size, don't wind the battery up too high, somewhere between 5 and 12 watts should be about right
Get through the initial faff (just a small learning curve) and you'll soon say goodbye to the ciggies forever
Thanks, had a go and I have already discovered not to wind it up too high It soon became apparent that maximum air hole/highest voltage wasn't the way to go and am still working on finding the sweet spot. At the moment I'm on around 3.8-4V and the largest air hole which is working out pretty well. Good flavour but I suspect with more fiddling I'll find a better setting.Get through the initial faff (just a small learning curve) and you'll soon say goodbye to the ciggies forever

Indeed it does.
Cool, you will find it does not sit flush on the battery but works fine. One tip, juice can accumulate in the top occasionally. You can pull the mouthpiece (often referred to a a drip tip) out, its just held in with an O ring and soak it up with a bit of tissue folded into a point and pushed down when the mouthpiece sits. When refilling don't screw the base on too tight, they can be a bh to unscrew. I used to use needle nose pliers if it gets really stuck.

What's max wattage on your battery? Make sure you haven't burnt the coil out
I'll be honest, I'm a little confused with the electrical side of things. It's never been my strong point and I don't feel I'm getting a very good grasp on it. I've tried to research the maximum wattage but not really found anything that enlightened me. If it helps I am using an Aspire CF VV+ battery and the coils are 1.8 ohms (though I have read that the one supplied installed is a 1.6ohm)From what I've read I think the coil is fine, it doesn't taste burnt and is performing well in terms of vapour. Is it worth cracking out a new coil and keeping the numbers low? Can i change a coil half way through a tank?
Sincerest apologies for all the questions but I feel I may have jumped in at the deep end
All help is very much appreciated and I definitely owe a pint or two.
