For a fairly realistic looking e-cig, you want:
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/51...

For a bigger piece of kit that doesn't need charging/filling so often, you need this:
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/to...
or the newer
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/to...

I have both, but currently prefer the smoother taste of the Titan.

You also need some liquid. You will have to experiment here, but I'd suggest 'proper' tobacco flavours (not cherry, coffee etc) and you could buy a few small bottles of different flavours/strengths initially.

Read the book, quit for 3 months and then back on them, all it did was make me hate the taste more frown

Chaps on liquids, has anyone used Decadent Vapours? Going to order some today and looking at them or Vermiliion River E-Juice

Exactly the same for me, read the book, gave up for a while and then started again.

I then tried e-Go T ciggies, and stuck with them for about 3 months until I put the Golf on its roof and my e-Cigs flew into the woods next to the track. Going to get back into them soon though yes

I had a bottle of Decadent Vapours Cafe Brisiliano once, very nice....a bit sweet for me though.

There are loads of sellers in the UK selling liquid now.

But if you want to go straight to HK and buy very cheaply (if you can stand the wait) then you should try Health Cabin http://www.healthcabin.net/ 50ml of Dekang juice for $10.

Cheers, decided to go with a bottle from each, a normal one from Decadent and a Fruit Salad one from Vermillion

Thats a very interesting site, is there any import tax? Am going to order from ecig wizard today purely so I dont run out immediately when the sample menthol they provide runs out but then will use that site, it looks good!

I have never had to pay any import tax.

ecig wizard is one of my favourite UK sellers, so is safer cigs, Liberty flights etc. the list goes on and on. Totally Wicked are pretty good too, especially if you buy liquid in bulk.

Comprehensive feedback on all sellers, liquids etc. can be found at http://ukvapers.com/ the best vaping forum for UK peeps.

This is my Totally Wicked Dual Coil Tank set-up. I really like these, two coils in the cartomiser for loads of vapour, lots more than cig-alikes etc.

The tube in the middle of the tank (the catrtomiser) lasts about a week, they are disposable but only 2 quid each.

A tank full of liquid lasts all day.

This one is on a totally Wicked Tornado-C eGo battery.

There is an instructional video on the Totally Wicked website.

Edit: So 2 quid a week for cartomizers and max 5 quid a week on juice (you can get this price down by careful shopping), and you are vaping all week for the cost of one packet of fags....until the Goverment wakes up and starts taxing the liquid. Some people have litres of the stuff in their freezers, for just such an eventuality.

Oh you. hehe

Still going strong too, although all this talk of E-Cigs makes me want to buy one!

I must admit I've never come across or seen anyone use one in my extensive travels. I also meet a lot of peeps.
I used mine once in a pub and we all got kicked out! smile

18 months on from reading 'The Book' and not had one smoke or puff since .... it really did turn me into a non-smoker overnight, maybe I was just lucky..

I really wont preach or didctate as a reformed smoker but just wanted to share my thoughts - I hope you guys its ok to on this thread.

Previously I gave up for a year by chewing nicotine gum... but I was just hooked on the gum

For me , I cant help thinking that using any NRT is ( although obviously healthier ) just changing the delivery system and not addressing the addiction at all.

I look at the 'delivery systems' on here and am impressed at the technology now employed to keep a person hooked on a drug ... and yes I know its no where near as un healthy as smoking tobacco...

Seeing the size of these things do you
1) Mainly use them at home / work etc ....or out at the pub/meals/with friends etc ?
2) Feel a little silly using them in public ? ( honest question as I think I would )

I always thought one of the major bonuses of smoking was meeting your smoking 'mates' at the designated area and catching up on gossip , work banter or even joing complete strangers outside a pub/restaurant and having that 'comrade' spirit as fellow smokers chat etc ... do you guys miss that as you can now 'smoke' at your desks ?

I do genuinely wish you lot all the best getting off tobacco..... but wonder if you still want to quit the e-cigs and drop the drug altogehter ....

Please dont think Im being 'holier than thou' I am really just interested

These e-cig things do look quite cool and interesting ... I do wonder if there are any non-smokers seeing how their mates are enjoying them and thinking the same as you ? ( but for different reasons of course )

How long have the e-cigs been out ? and how long have people stuck to them without going back to tabacco ?

I guess time will tell if they work longterm and if people quit nicotine completely after using them ...?

ETA Sorry I feel like Im hijacking a really interesting thread ....feel free to tell me to bugger off if my posts dont belong in here

@rugbyman

For me personally I am not thinking too much about giving up

I have tried the book and yes it did instantly make me not want to smoke and I didn't for a good number of months, was by far the best method I have used to date, however once I caved I tried reading it again and it seemed to have less of an effect the second time round, I don't know if it had given up all its tricks

With regards to why I smoke? I am addicted to nicotine and have st will power, the majority of my friends no longer smoke and it is not really a very social activity these days at work or when out, in fact at times during the winter I would be in a pub and be the only one in my group having to go and stand in the rain

I had looked at E-Cigs with a few to helping me stop but had only seen the naff ones you see being sold at stations etc

If I can get my nicotine hit with no health implications then that is a win win for me right now, its not 100% perfect but it has to be a massive improvement on the state of play now which is "Wanting to quit, not being able and begrudging and kicking myself when I see how expensive it is and how old I sound hacking my lungs up in the mornings"

So currently I am looking not to give up smoking as such but more change it to a more efficient, marginally cheaper and much healthier delivery system

If I can lower the dose over time (I am talking a year or so) and then eventually stop then all well and good but at the moment for me its all about making a change, any change that is a step in the right direction

I am hoping and praying it works

A lot of this stems from the fact I am 32, getting married next year, have just bought a house so imagine at some point in the next ~5 years kids will arrive, I have a lot to live for and am these days more aware of my own mortality

A mate (non smoker) just had a heart attack at 31 as he is fat, want to give myself the best chance I can to live a long life

Cheers, the OH is very happy too as she smokes but only these days because I do, she is one of these that can start and stop at will (Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

I feel much more confident this time as the book taught me that I don't enjoy smoking and I know I don't I am just too weak willed to stop, so if I can kill the cravings by still getting nicotine and still have something in my hand I am confident it will be fine, I have ordered some flavoured liquids to try today as well

The book was amazing, it had been 3 months, I was driving home from work, no cravings no nothing, coming up to a roundabout in Epsom with a garage on it, was waiting for a vehicle to come from the right, he came but hadn't seen the other car travelling very fast, the 2 cars hit, one flipped and the lady had to be cut out by the fire brigade, I was at the front of what was now a very big rush hour queue so couldn't go anywhere until the scene was cleared, next thing I know I am strolling into the garage "10 marlboro lights and a lighter please mate"

I genuinely don't really remember buying them, just smoking them and coughing, I threw the rest of the box away when I got home but by then it was too late I was back on them within the hour

Oh the lady driver was ok btw smile

Smoking stuff
Good post Rubyman,

I have used books, willpower, gum, lozenges.

I quit for a year at a time (3 years once), but the adiction always kicks back in at an unguarded moment (i.e. pissed) and off I go again.

Vaping is the only method that works instantly, I have not touched nor wanted to touch tobacco since the day I got my vaping kit.

Even if I vape for ever I see it as better than tobacco, hell you could even squeeze some liquid vitamins into your juice and this could actually be healthy! (joke)

I do have a gradual reduction plan and since February I have cut down from 36mg nicotine to 24mg and now 18mg, next step is 11mg. There are liquids with zero nicotine available but still taste like tobacco (if you need that).

I use mine at home and at work and out and about, no qualms for me about using it in public, what do I care? One person remarked that he thought I was just using a different style pipe.

Work is strange, all the non-smokers have no objection to my vaping indoors (after I explain that there is no tar, carbon monoxide or 200 other lethal chemicals in the vapour, like you find in cigarette smoke). The non-smokers are curious and it's all seen as a bit of a laugh, they call it my crack pipe.

The smokers on the other hand don't want to know, go figure.

I definitely don't miss standing outside with the smokers, not much of a chatter anyway. I love sitting at my desk at home or in front of the TV with a pint and a vape and no stink.

I don't use pubs anymore, but I believe there is a list of Vape Friendly pubs available, Landlords would be mad not to allow it, it is totally legal in pubs and it is the tobacco ban which drove away many of their customers.

Some pubs, football grounds, airlines won't hear of it under any circumstance but that is their discretion and not beacause it is illegal.

The only time I've found a pub not let me is back when I first got it about 2 years ago, and that was only 1! I can sort of see where airlines come from, because although it's no smoke, it still breaches their regulations of 'poisonous liquids' - as the bottles I buy have a little skull and crossbones on them in a triangle.

Good point but caffeine is also a poisonous liquid, so is alcohol.

But I see their point, they don't like it because it upsets the other passengers.

You can use it in the bog though, especially fruit or mint flavour juice. The vapour does not set off smoke alarms.

There is a world of difference between the things that look like cigarettes and proper vaping kit.

Those cig-alikes just put lots of people off the idea.
