It was mystic juice which produced a lot of vapour. I switched a couple of days ago to totally wicked's red label which seems a lot less potent - I'll see how it goes.

Has anybody had this issue with the evod vv battery?

On its initial 4 hour charge the battery light flashed 3 times then stayed off, charger light stayed red until it fuly charged and turned green.

Just tried recharging it and the battery light flashed 3 times as before then stayed on, and now the charger LED is flashing on & off.

I've tried with another charger but its the same?

Just leave it on charge for a few hours and see how it is, should be fine smile

A bit of advice needed please , wife has been using this evod kit:http://myepack.co.uk/review/product/list/id/694/category/11/
for several months and likes it but wants to replace some mouthpieces and needs new coils , so this is an opportunity to try something a bit better by customising her kit. She would like a bigger tank that would last all day rather than at the moment she carries the liquid and refills it at least once.
Do the different coils make a difference i.e. the ohms rating or design if so what are the differences and what would you recommend .
she has used the site above exclusively so far but is open to suggestions from more experienced users?

That looks pretty cool actually...

I've been looking into mods recently but I am pretty much put off by the size of most of them.

I've just upgraded from the starter pack to a Smok VV Evod with Kangertech Evod tank. The difference is quite astonishing.

I worked my way up to the Hammer, starting with an ego in 2011, I then changed my tank to a vivi nova. This I used for more than a year, and decided to upgrade last year to an eVic vv/vw and kanger pro tank. I actually went through two eVics as I broke the LCD module dropping it a few times.

Then this last fortnight I've been looking a lot into mechanical mods and decided to bite the bullet as the eVic, although a nice piece of kit, it just felt a little fragile and well it just didn't look cool! Plus, for some reason the kanger doesn't work very well in the heat (I live in a tropical country).

So today I thought sod it and went to the store and had a look at quite a few mechanical mods, I liked the look of them but with the new large atomiser I chose, they were just too long hence me picking the Kato Hammer. It does have extensions for me to be able to put bigger batteries in, but I like the compactness of it fitting in my fist.

The atomiser I chose has made the biggest difference, normally I would use 18mg juices as I like a good kick in the throat, but to my surprise with the taifun GT I get the same throat hit with a 12mg juice! I also like how it's completely rebuildable, and comes supplied with extra rubber seals, wick and wire.

Well done if you read all of my rambling!

So you can get an idea of the size.

Read it all, and now off to look at the hammer.

That looks good. I had a fake pipe bowl that slid over an ego battery and I kinda miss the feel of holding a pipe since moving to a bigger mech mod.

My current set up is a KTS Storm with a trap tank from grmodders.com. Nice, smooth vape without any if the pissing about with coils. Had an AGA-T2 for a while and could never get it to work reliably for more than a day or so.

I would recommend an Aspire Nautilus and a Vamo.

The lower the ohms the more vapour but with a vamo you can simply increase the voltage on a higher ohm coil for the same effect.

^^^ what a beast!

It's so nice now not having to bother looking for coils for a kanger tank, now I just need to keep some wick and wire in the drawer. When I recoil mine next week I'll show some pics of the process.

The chap in the shop had this contraption too!

Cloud chasing is becoming quite popular here in Asia with people building sub ohm coils. Increasing voltage like you're suggesting only gets you so far on higher ohm coils.

Damn you. I've just ordered one smile I've really missed holding a pipe but none of the pipe mods have appealed to me until now. I've also found a guy doing a mod for the hammer to let you use an 18650 battery in line with the tank which is even better.

Pretty pointless, I can't see the battery being much use as it can't put out many amps, plus those atomisers are a pain, they generally weep fluid out the bottom all over your expensive iPhone.

I was cleaning my Evod last night as I was preparing to change flavour and the threads pulled out of my wick. I didn't have any spares (school girl error) so I have to use a spare tank I had lying around *think its a CE5+?* I got it in a starter kit I bought but didn't fancy using it.

So I filled it and primed it, what a load of rubbish. The first couple of drags were good with lots of the raspberry flavour coming through, after a few vapes it just tastes of nothing pretty much. Cant wait to get some replacements for my Evod!
