What is people's experience with these things? The few I know who use them swear by them, but they don't seem to cough any less - more if anything.
No coughing here.

No coughing from the wife.

No coughing from the step-daughter.

No coughing from any e-cig users at work.

Thanks for the pointers! The Kamry is looking like a winner at the moment.

I've seen this one too - it doesn't have the visible tank and looks more like a trad pipe. Any comments on the components/compatability with other kit?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/electronic-Nicotine-batter...

There are smaller ones but they tend to have internal batteries which probably limit their usage.

Cor! Hopefully I'll be able to purchase just one e-thingy. Unlike motorbikes, razors, etc etc...

What are the odds?

Miniscule! I said that I'd never buy any of those 'big' mods after I got a starter kit back in Feb. I now have an iTaste VTR, a Coolfire 1, a Chi You clone, an eVic and a Provari nuts

I have a voltage vs. wattage question.

I have a Sigelei Zmax V5 which has variable voltage or wattage.

My understanding is that by varying the wattage, the Zmax measures the resistance of the coil and outputs a suitable voltage to give the wattage selected.

But by varying the voltage, the output voltage remains the same, regardless of the coil resistance.

Am I correct? So, you set one or the other, not both.

Thanks, that's the one I was looking at smile

I've tried a temporary fix by pulling the bottom spring out slightly and this has helped but will probably go back to how it was.

Has anyone tried both the Vamo & SVD?

My step fathers got the same one. Looks the part but not that reliable. I think the coils part of the actual bowl so if this goes....your screwed. He's had to send it back once for a replacement. It also looks like its a cartomiser instead of tank set up. (I'll have to ask him more about it)

I'd go for the Kamry instead, may not look as real but you can fit different tanks to it and imo have a better vape. The nautilus mini would be my choice smile

My wife has an SVD and two Vamos.

I just asked her opinion.

Vamo: Rubbish(!), unreliable, takes one battery size.

SVD: Very good but it does turn itself off now and then, takes any battery size, a long mod.

Others may think otherwise, this is just her opinion.

Sort of, yes.

You only set one, but the effect that has on the other varies...

As juice evaporates, and the coil changes temperature, the resistance of the circuit changes.

With variable voltage, the fixed voltage setting means the change in resistance causes a change in temperature. So the vape changes through a long drag.

With variable wattage, the voltage changes as the resistance changes, effectively keeping the coil at a fixed temperature so a consistent vape.

The best analogy I can think of is fixed throttle compared with cruise control, along a hilly road. The car's speed in this instance being the temperature, the throttle voltage.

Most of the Kamry K1000's you see are kits. They come with the bowl, an atomizer, 2 batteries, a charger and a case.
Like this, which is where I bought mine.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HST9ZT8/ref=...

If you have batteries and a charger, you can just buy the bowl then you can fit your own atomiser and your own choice of stem. I like these but have not purchased one yet.

I find im not using the new pipe, it sits unused still in its box. I have two 5ml Nautilus tanks that I use alternately on an 18650 mod at home and the new Nautilus Mini on the Aspire carbon fibre battery out and about.

Great thanks for your help, and to the people who have one of these, you don't feel that it is too big and you look like a plonker?
I have one, found that it was rather large for day to day use but at home/work/driving it's a great piece of kit for the money. I've had mine for over 6 months now and hasn't let me down once. Even when the battery does start dying (goes in stages: Green, Amber, Red), I find that I've enough time and battery left to get to a charger. Another advantage is that it uses a standard mini usb charger, which you practically find lying around everywhere these days.
yes

Totally agree with everything above. You do get the odd comment, but who gives a st TBH?

I've had mine for almost a year now and it's been brilliant. Spent the 8 months before that constantly changing kit and experimenting to find the most satisfying experience but since buying this, a trophy tank and RY4 juice I've used nothing else.

Amazon are selling them at the moment for £39 with prime delivery, which is an absolute bargain.

Cool thanks. I've stretched the spring again and this seems to have cured the hot bottom (was red hot before!!)

Still fancy the SVD though. I could get a box mod for just back home use though. Off to youtube for some reviews!

Vapourshark seems to be the one that I Favour. I got rid of my Cana clone DNA30 as I didn't really like it, although it is small compared to some of the boxes out there it just felt a bit unwieldily. Saying that, I guess it is only slightly larger than the MVP.

Good man. The supplied tank (iclear30) are OK but top coiled, a bit flimsy as it's plastic/aluminium and can be liable to leaking so would definitely suggest investing in either -

X8 - Brass/Pyrex, 1.6ml, bit fiddly to fill compounded by low capacity.
Trophy Tank - Brass/Pyrex, 5ml, bit big but my personal favourite.
M Core GDC - Brass/pyrex, 5ml (seems like more), very big but excellent vape and build quality. Trying this at the moment as was sent one for free. smile

This is what I use as my daily, with an NV coil in it, works perfectly. Holds enough juice to last a while.

Crap pic but here it is on an ego twist (in the middle).

Looking for a new juice and someone suggested Vapemunki Eliquids
http://www.vapemunki.co.uk/Gourmet_Range/cat226868...

They are 60vg/40pg so only got a few small bottles to try, £4 for a 10ml bottle. I got one each of the following:

Bazilla Custard - Vanilla custard
Barbed Custard - Rhubarb and custard.
The Gurner - Apple

Have you tried Kraken Kingslayer? Caramelly Custard/creme brule flavour. Top juice and bloody lovely. My last order was chefs vapour. Orange custard creme is delicious, as is Confusion, Apple Pie and Irish Cream Custard. I had 5 x 10mls and did them all in pretty quick. Nice stuff smile
