That's me done with vaping. My fancy atomiser has done the usual annoying thing. It "breaks" in three different places, all of which obviously twist the same way. However, I've noticed that if I want it to break at the battery, then no matter what I do it will only break at the refill point. If I want it to break at the refill point, then guess what? It will only break at the battery. Today I needed it to break at both the battery and the refill point. So it will only break at the mouthpiece.

This is typical as I'm away on business for a few days, so have no access to pliers or anything to break it how and where I need it. I've dropped it out of the hotel window and am now officially done with vaping.

50 weeks since my last cigarette and down to 0mg nicotine. Let's see how I get on being an ex-smoker and an ex-vaper.

Good luck, that's where I want to get to eventually.

Just out of interest what was the atomiser you were using?

A GeniTank mini. It was leftover from when I tried some fancier ones a few months back.

I have a couple of the mini Kanger tanks. I don't know if they improved them but I find the treads are not great. I had a similar problem so cracked out the plyers but the threads just bit together and ruined it. I found using plyers to grab the ends rather than the sides help.

I still keep a set of needle nose plyers to undo the Nautilus tanks sometimes. They lock into the knurling
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knurling and you are not pressing thread against thread. Obviously metal expands and contracts and heating the coil expands the metal. Someone suggested if you are having problems, chuck it into the freezer for a while, not tried it though.

If the two bits are going to expand into each other, then they will probably shrink into each other too. Either way, I'm going to give it a serious go. I promised I'd quit vaping in June and am miles behind schedule.

I've been on 0mg since Feb and have no cravings. I've managed a few days with ease and often don't reach for it for hours in the morning so the time is right.

Or shrink away from each other. I don't know enough about Metallurgy to understand it.

Im down to 8mg and my first vape today was about 7pm today when I got home and had a beer, same as I did when I smoked.

Probably vaped about 2.5ml of juice tonight, I think im weaning myself off the nicotine, but in a slow nice way.

Good luck and falling off the wagon isn't the same as smoking a fag smokin

Hoping someone can maybe help?

A month or two ago I bought a vape escape starter kit, this one, http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/VE-... .

I've got on well with this, from smoking 20-25 cigarettes a day for the last 26 years and having tried inhalators, patches, gum and even champix, none of which worked for me, I'm now down to maybe 2 or 3 cigarettes a day. Most importantly I can see myself completely giving up without much bother.

If anything my only complaint would be that if I take more then 3 or 4 drags you can feel it starting to heat up and you don't get the same hit in the throat or smoke.

So reading this thread I ordered the aspire carbon thingmajig and while you certainly get a bigger hit in the throat (maybe even too much) there's hardly any smoke/vapour. Not a massive deal I know but a little unsatisfying tbh.

Anyway, would this be down to the liquid? So far I've been using the lemon twist and cherry from vape escape.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

I've been using a cheap starter kit from CigVape. That, and a bottle of vanilla juice cost me £25 delivered, and I've gone from 10 roll-ups a day to having three in the two weeks since I got my vaporiser. I didn't even really enjoy them, truth be told.

I can't really rate these things highly enough, and I hope that I'll be off them and smoke free by the new year smile

Check the contact between the battery and the clearomiser is clean. They can get a bit gunked up and reduce the hit you get.

Down to 10 fags in work a day and 6 of a weekend. I was a 20 a day smoker a week or so back.

Im curious as what you find funny. I would assume there are forums on most subjects, like Pistonheads is for cars. You realise you are reading a thread on vaping on a forum, is that also funny if so rofl

"Listen, and understand. BSR is out there. He can't be bargained with. He can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead"

Pretty much covers it I think. smile

Just bought a Nautilus Mini, not sure if i'm being stupid but it has a really harsh throat hit and hardly any vapour. I have put menthol in it from cape escape.

Any ideas?

Do you use a really high PG juice?

It says PG 70/ VG 30.

That's a high PG ratio, that why you are getting the throat hit with little vapour. PG throat hit, VG vapour. Most people use a 50PG/50VG mix. Maybe try some new juice.

If you don't like the throat hit maybe go a bit the other way with a 60vg/40pg mix from Vapemunki, try something from the Gourmet Range.
