Can someone explain tanks, coils, atomisers etc to me please? I really don't understand them.

I'm in the process of buying a Provari and searching for a suitable tank is confusing me no end, am I right in thinking I could buy something like the Kanger Aerotank V2 and a couple of spare coils to replace say once a week?

All this talk of priming, rebuild able etc has thrown me right off what I thought I understood!
Essentially yes.
Most Kanger tanks work that way. You have an atomiser head (or coil) that is replaceable. Depending on how much you use it, it should last around a week or so.
I personally would recommend the Naturevape coil heads. This way you buy one head and replace the wick every now and then. The vape produced is much better than that over the stock kanger heads.
They can be bought here http://www.naturevape.co.uk/store/?age-verified=fe... out of stock at the moment but they add more stock on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Video on changing the wick http://youtu.be/NPD95rCSaK8
Essentially you replace the cotton wick part of the head with fresh cotton.

I've now been using the same coil since around April time. That's quite a difference.
I do however have a couple of packs of the stock coils so I have spares should anything go wrong.

I actually think the Aerotank looks pretty good on the Provari. I would probably go for that or a Nautilus (another thank that takes replaceable heads although these are different to the kanger ones).

No worries chap!

Essentially, there are two atomiser connections - 510 thread and ego thread. A lot of ego type batteries take both, the ego thread is external, and the 510 internal.

A Provari is 510 threaded iirc. You can get adaptors but out decent atomisers are 510.

Rebuildables are a whole subset of atomisers, designed specifically to make it fairly easy to make and install your own coil. If you're really into that level of tweaking then all good, I could never get it right and just use good replaceable head attys as you seem to be considering.

Hope that helps.

Oh, priming is just dripping a couple of drops of juice onto a new coil/wick to get the wicking started.

Thanks guys! Very, very helpful.

Think I've settled on the Provari with a Nautilus talk for now.

Is it worth buying a couple of tanks to try different flavours etc? I'm about to order some custom mixed stuff from Vapology.

Possibly yeah. I know I bang on about it, but that's another plus of the Nvape coils. Try a flavour, re wick, try another flavour. There are rumours about them bringing a coil out for the nautilus.
Personally I have a couple of everything as spares, I use a standard evod for trying flavours.

So with the Nautilus if I wanted to try new flavours I'd just need to put a new coil in right? Then I guess keep that coil specifically for that flavour?

Probably. I've not actually used one. Some say that washing the coil out thoroughly and leaving it to dry is enough. You might get some flavour creep though.

Good choice, I have both the Nautilus and a Nautilus mini to use on my Provari.

Spunds good! Which do you prefer? I'm right ink thinking the only difference is 2mm vs 5mm?

As I've got the BVC coils in both the only difference between them is the tank size. I normally have the bigger one on if I go out on a night so I don't have to worry about refilling with liquid but the smaller one suits the standard collar of the Provari more. Here's a pic of both so you can see what you prefer:

Yes if you are using the newer bottom vertical coil. The original 5ml Nautilus came with the bottom duel coils, but the newer coils fit.

I think preference comes down to what you are using it on, looks wise. The 5ml looks better on big mods like the nemeses http://myepack.co.uk/mods/nemesis-clone-mechanical...

The 2ml mini looks better on smaller batteries and looks less clunky on my pipe

That pipe always makes me chuckle. The fact that it has it's own deckchair just adds to my amusement. biggrin

It is a bit silly but it works well and feels comfortable to hold and use. The pipe stand/deckchair just helps to keep the wicks covered in juice otherwise it just falls over.

Is it that one? If so, pretty much anything should be compatible. The Nautilus will fit yes.
Yes. Was not sure if it had an Ego or 510 thread. Thank you.

A mate has just received one of the CF 1600-mAh batteries. It's a lovely thing. Looks really well put together. Pleasing action on the twister at the bottom too.

Can anyone recommend any 0 % stuff? I've been using Totally Wicked Red Label, which is not bad. I've tried the Vapemunki gourmet stuff, but the flavours seem to be a bit muddy, and not that distinctive. Liberro unfortunately don't do 0% in their purity range.

I think my tanks have been getting gunked up and washing under hot water isn't doing the trick. Had a look on a vape forum and it appears people have been using sonic cleaners to clean parts. Basically a jewellery cleaner. I just bought a cheap one to see what its like.
