Battery charged?
I believe so - I think it came charged and the light goes swiftly to green on the charger when its plugged in.

I did inadvertently leave it in the "on" mode rather than press the button 5 times or so to switch it off this pm. That said, I thought it switched itself off after 10 seconds of inactivity or so. And in event, I wasn't pressing the button in between when it was left on so dont see that it would have discharged the thing at all to run out the coil part.

Aspire and K1 beginner kit arrived and set up with some liquid from the same company.

After a few mins of draws it seems to taper off so no "vape" comes out when I inhale - any idea why?
check the Aspire contact point has not been pushed in too much.

My eVic works everytime, but it pushes the contact point in on the atomiser, thus making the Aspire CCV not work but just light up instead as if it does work.

just for example purposes...

See that free pin thing, if it goes in too far then the battery can't transfer power to the atomiser and you get nothing, make sure its not been pushed in too far.

So today I have tried out a new juice company - Redjuice.co.uk - Don't know if anyone has used them, but stock a great range of juice at good prices - I have gone for 10ml of Dr. Stanleys Snake Oil (£6.95) and 10ml of Leprechaun Blood By Accies (£4.95) to try them with - both juices are also new to me but I love anise/menthol/eucalyptus type juice (Red Astaire is by far my favourite of these) so thought I would have a punt on something different!

Will feedback on service and juice if anyone is interested...
Ordered a few times from them, always next day delivery!

You'll love Snake Oil smile

That's great - thank you for your patience! It was indeed that - the coil bit wasnt screwed in enough so the pin must have been shy of the battery part.

Almost two weeks into vaping, I think I've now tried about a dozen juices. I have been quite underwhelmed by a few but the ones that I keep coming back to are:-

1) 'The King' by King's Crown - primarily peanut butter and cream, with an undertone of light tobacco - really smooth and complex, lovely long aftertaste. This is one I keep coming back to; it's as enjoyable as a glass of good cognac in front of an open fire at the end of a good meal with old friends.

2) 'Ginger Nut' by Mrs. Lord & Co. - does exactly what it says on the tin! Top note of ginger, sweetish with a pleasant bit of heat, with base flavours of melted brown sugar. Really scrumptious.

3) 'Mother's Milk' by Suicide Bunny - this is like a really good strawberry cheesecake in vapour form. It's got a lovely rich feeling in the mouth. I wasn't sure I'd like it when I read the description, but I was won over as soon as I tasted it. It's subtle, complex and very, very more-ish.

I've got four new flavours coming in from Vapemunki tomorrow, based on Cotty's recommendations in this thread. Everything I've smoked this far has been 50/50 PG/VG, so I'm looking forward to trying some liquids with a higher proportion of VG.

I'm also thinking of trying some e-liquids from Five Pawns, probably Gambit and Castle Long. That said, they are seriously pricey, and I wonder am I just being seduced by the hype? I would be very interested in knowing if anyone on here has tried them and, if so, whether you think they're worth the (not insubstantial) premium.
Sounds like some good juices,

After loving Digbys king and reading this I've got some kings crown king arriving tomorrow smile

Does anyone know where is best to order some mini nautilus bvc coils at the moment, good deals etc

You are correct Sir! I do!

The Snake Oil is one of the nicest juices I have tried - Lovely! The Leprechaun Blood is also very very nice - just does not quite have the depth that you get with Snake Oil - The service from Redjuice was excellent - ordered about 2.30pm and was here next day - will be giving a few more juices a try from them...

Thanks they are out of stock in most shops. I wanted silver but they only had black or blue so went for black.
I used discount code ECIGSHOPS and with a mini USB charger and shipping came to €43.47 which is about £34.00

banghead Crap ordered the wrong kit I went for the express kit with a USB charger and should have ordered the full kit that has everything and in silver, have asked if they can swap it and keep the difference.

Some vape-mail arrived this morning - a bottle each of Five Pawns Gambit, Queenside, Castle Long and Castle Long Reserve - a very self-indulgent birthday present to myself!

I'm dying to try them, and will report back with my thoughts in due course.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on these, I noticed ukecig have started selling some premium juices, bit too rich for me though frown

After pondering over a pipe I've decided I prefer the look of those Aspire CF jobbies. What's the cheapest place for a starter kit?

As I say, it was a very self-indulgent birthday present to myself; got a few quid unexpectedly from a work thing, and thought I'd squander some of it quickly before it got wasted on sensible things like utility bills or mortgage payments!

I tried the Queenside earlier this evening, and I'm currently vaping some Castle Long. To be very frank, I'm not sure about either of them at the moment. The Queenside does have a really good but very subtle flavour of mandarin oranges, but I'm also getting a slightly strange savoury/chemical flavour from it. The Castle Long tastes very expensive, but it's also very sweet - the coconut and peanut elements are dominating the palate, and I'm not really getting the bourbon aftertaste it's supposed to have.

However, and it's a big however, I do have a nasty headcold at the moment and there's no doubt but that my palate and sense of smell and taste are affected. I can just about tell that there's a lot more going on in these juices than I'm capable of appreciating just now.

All of the above is a very long-winded way of saying I need to come back to these juices in a few days time and try them properly. I will do, and I'll post a proper review then.

Maybe worth just letting them steep for a few weeks instead of Vaping a few ml here & there then not liking it. I've had juices that tasted chemically and hardly any flavour, left them for 3-4 weeks and they were miles nicer. I usually leave them in the cupboard with the tops on then every few days just get them out & give the bottles a squeeze & shake, tops back on and just repeat it for a week or so.

But for a premium liquid like that you'd think they'd come pre steeped?
