I'm off to a new shop pretty local to me tomorrow to take y first foray into e-fags. Been smoking for years and want to use one to help give up without all the shouty bits involved in nicotine withdrawal! But, I've no idea what to look for really.

Budget of about £50, although could go a bit more if it's the right thing. I'm not overly fussed about flavoured juice as I also smoke a shisha pipe (molasses, not baccy!) so get my flavours through that, but I guess I will probably have a crack at a few, just for kicks. I think I just want something that has decent battery life, won't cost a fortune to run and I can pump up the 'throat hit' if I'm struggling without the fags.

I've no idea what the shop stocks, but in your expert opinions, is there anything specific I should be asking for? I guess they'll be used to starters in the shop, but it'd be handy to get a bit of a plan before I go!

ETA - I guess I should read the thread first! Seems to be a pretty common question asked on here, so I'll go back and have a look through!

Always better to ask.

If you get eleaf stick you will need to get the following:

http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£34.99

Some type of tank (I prefer the kanger aerotank or the Aspire Nautilus mini):

Aspire:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£19.99
Spare coils:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£10 (get at least 5)

Kanger:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£18.99
Spare Coils:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£10 (get at least 5)

(looks like it would need to be aspire as kanger is out of stock)

Then choose some juice, this is personal opinion, but if you like a throat hit choose one with a higher PG value, if you want vapour choose a higher VG rating.

I usual go for 70VG/30PG and its fine.

If you are a medium smoker (15-20 a day) look at 11mg nicotine level to start.

Choose a few random flavours you want to try or stick with baccy flavour its your choice, depending on use the 10ml will last a few days (2ml is usually 1-2 days use)... but that is dependant on how much you will vape it now.

Then use the voucher code UKV10 for 10% off everything, but that runs out today.

The above will give you a superb first kit that you will learn from and won't need to upgrade from blucig or a start kit when you find out that it needs more power... etc.

Im sure others can back me up with the above choices.
Yup... what he said!
I will also add that use it, abuse it (go to the max and see what it can do )... but the coil will burn out so make sure as a newbie you have more in reserve... its fun doing the above for sts and giggles but not on your last coil... trust me!!

Let us know what you think of it! I've got a V2.5 and its great. I like the look of the new screen and the fact it can take the flat-top batteries.

I think I may have bought their last silver one on Wednesday morning, at the time only black was sold out. Fairly sure the red colour of the iStick is actually fuscia.
I would ring them up to verify if they have the one you want... I would like a silver but could not be bothered to wait and got a black one...

To be honest who cares what colour it is, its a great bit of kit and if neon yellow was the only one they had, I would get it after what I know now... seriously.
Got to be silver wink

These seem ideal for me working away, has anyone found them over powering like some of the youtube reviews have said? Sounds like the actual power is higher than quoted?

My aspire cf1600mah is here (in red) looks a quality bit of kit. Ended up getting it off ebay yesterday morning and it turned up today smile Just need the istick then I'm all sorted for my travel kit, (mods & batteries will now stay home!) was getting a pain in the arse carting them everywhere!

Not finding the iStick overpowering at all. Got it set on 4v and haven't messed around with watts, on 8.4. 1.8O coil comes up as 1.9 on the display. Can take it just the same as anything else I've used. Used the same coils and had my Aspire CF on 4.3v. The iStick just tastes better and gives more vapour.

Anyone tried both the kanger mini protank 3 and the aspire k1 glassomizer.

Also manger mini aerotank worth the extra monies.

My atomisers are shot and I'm back to a old aspire e-pen but which lacks a bit.

I've got a Mini Protank 3, which I think is great, and an Aerotank Mini, which I've barely used because it leaked every damn time and I could probably count on one hand the number of decent drags I had on it before I gave up and put it away. For the same price a Nautilus Mini is far better.

Not used a K1 but I do rate the other Aspire products I've used very highly. Naturevape is highly rated, too, haven't used one myself.

I've got a few mpt3's and the Aerotank mini, haven't got the K1 but do have the nautilus mini. I'd go for the nautilus mini, hands down the best tank ive got so far, I'm even using this more than my RBA's which is saying something! (spent a fair bit on different tanks etc and this imo is the best on the market right now)

Sod it ive gone for the red istick!

MyEpack arent getting any more in until mid November so with working away I won't get one until at least December if I wait frown Red looks ok in the pics anyway! Could have sworn someone told me they're pink and not red!

Also ordered a genuine aspire charger off ebay for this cf battery, I've only got a cheapy cheap market one here and it's not charging it up right.

They are pink, I don't know why they call them red

A wrap doesn't look particularly difficult, if they're not already available.

I have both mini protank 3 and the aspire k1. The K1 has better coils and produces better flavour and vapour. People are suggesting the Mini Nautilus, but will look very top heavy on a pen type battery. The K1 uses similar BVC coils to the nautilus and I can't fault either of them.

The K1 does not have adjustable airflow like the aerotank but its fine for regular inhales. I wouldn't spend the extra money on the aerotank.

Took the plunge yesterday and got myself a starter kit, a Gruv e-cig tank, 1000mAH battery, 10ml tobacco liquid and 20ml vanilla - £37 all in. Probably not the greatest bit of kit, but after 24 hours use, I flippin love it! I'm using it mainly to quit the fags and, so far, I can't see my going back to the dark side!

Its funny how quick you get into it and want to kick yourself for not getting into it before. But the kit around these days is so good compared to a year or two ago.
