Its got to be the coil, did you let it soak in properly with juice or did you vape straight away, is the voltage too high and you are taking too long a drag, maybe a lower voltage on the mod if its VV?

Leave juice for 10+ minutes when you have added a new coil otherwise you will get a dry spot and taste metal.

If that doesn't work the only other thing I can think of is you can taste the metal from the drip tip... try a plastic one.

I didn't leave it at all, the guy in the shop topped it up for me first time just before I left and I was on it just outside the door! Maybe that's it! It's not a VV battery so can't lower the voltage unfortunately.

Interesting point about taking long drags on it, because I think I do this! I've been finding I don't get the hit in the back of my throat with small drags, or there is just not a lot of vapour coming out, so do take bigger ones to get that.

Was going to get a couple of spare coils this weekend, so will change mine over and let it soak for a while.

Now that you've seen for yourself that it works, it'd be worth getting a variable voltage battery to allow you to set the voltage to suit the hit you're after.

Then you can keep the one you have as your emergency spare!

Well, i'm 24 hours in with my eleaf istick and so far, i haven't had and dont want a cigarette!

really enjoying this thing. Partly because it's a cool gadget, but mainly feeling good for not having a cig.

im running at a steady 5 watts and 3 volts. this thing is powerful! think ive got it on almost the lowest setting and it's enough. battery gauge hasn't budged either. should get a few days without needing a charge at this rate.

i have to agree with what others say about the funny metallic taste though. it's only slight, so perhaps it's the juice im using? i did let the coil soak for a bit first. gona invest in some new juices and go from there.

Bought some DEA juice yonks ago when I was new to it all and it was utter ste.
So that may be the case.

Yep that's about right. Apart from a basic tobacco flavour Benson and Fences from Paradisevape I can't seem to find something I like enough to use it all the time. A lot of the flavours I find overly sweet, fine if you like that sort of thing but I don't have a sweet tooth.

Im trying a lot of fruit flavours, currently on watermelon which is ok but not a second purchase.

I worked it out recently, that I'm currently £28/month on average over 44 months. That's about 1/10 the cost of cigs!

That and I don't get colds or chest infections any more.

Got my FIL involved about 18 months ago (although he's happy with those crappy tesco cigs), the amount of money he's saved is approaching £10K. Astonishing.

I'm not overly fond of the Space Jam, seems to be getting nicer with age though. I'm a big fan of MBV juices, have yet to try the Cola though, apparently it's great being mixed in with other things.

That snake oil was a homemade I bought from a guy on reddit. It was really lovely I think slightly different to the authentic recipe though.
Custard wise, the nicest I have had is Drakes Vapes Vanilla Trifecta, really very nice and smooth with tonnes of flavour (that's just in an aero tank with a NV coil).

I find that fruity flavours tend to wear thin on my taste buds pretty quickly, saying that I also find that if you add a bit of menthol in it clears things up a bit and helps (I think that's why I keep so much Thug and Jungle juice around).

If I'm not on one of those I like the bakery type stuff, got some belgian waffle and Cherry pie from Joose Juice and I have to say they are both really moorish!


I love how much money I have to play with now and I wasn't even smoking that much when I quit. I think I'm probably spending £40ish a month on vape stuff with the occasional bigger purchase thrown in there.

Currently sitting at my desk with my Aerotank on my aspire CF/VV with a tank full of MBV Pink Lemonade using one of these coils http://virtualvape.co.uk/shop/atomisers/unicoil/ I have to say it really does perform very well, loads of flavour and ample clouds too.

If you like Cola, FT have just got Liqua back in stock, that Cola is one if the nicest I've had. £3.20 delivered (30ml) for a budget juice it's really nice, same with their menthol. Very good

I've stuck some in the nautilus mini and it's amazing!!! Definitely one to try.

My isticks here, yep it's 100% pink but not too girly, I quite like it! I do think it's over powering a tad though, I usually vape around 10/11 watts but this feels too much, took it down a few clicks and it's much better between 7-9. Doesn't bother me though, I think it'll be great with a dripper

Also!!!!!!! My SILO Tank on this is excellent! I've stuck some Manabush Powwow sauce in here, looks a bit silly on the istick as it's pretty big...but my god! Hell of a difference to the vamo especially with decent juice. Powwow's pretty nice, not an adv for me but will be vaping it now & again. It's my first tobacco based liquid, maybe it'll grow on me in time. Still nice but prefer a normal vanilla custard type juice, also the reviews are bang on, tastes better on lower watts.

But that istick, anyone 50/50 on getting one, go for it
