I smoke cigars. What's the recommended vape setup that tastes like like a cigar?

Any of the wonderous devices described above with a really strong cigar/tobacco flavoured juice. Go for 36mg to make yourself feel at home smile

I haven't found any nice cigar ones yet, closest was from Hagsen (I think?) was ages ago but that was ok now and again.

Nicest tobacco based juices are Manabush, I usually hate tobacco favour juices but these have really grown on me this week.

I'm finding that juice is leaking into the coil on my tank and I'm getting a kind of 'bubbly' effect when I take a drag. It's a Kanger Evod tank and I'm using genuine coils on it, but there's a pin prick hole at the bottom of the coils where the air passes through and its this that is getting filled up with juice.

Is this normal? I've only had a new coil in there a couple of days, but it was doing it with the original coil that came with the kit too!

Yeh, I get some bubbling with my nautilus too. Not worked out why yet.

Over wicking.

Probably the lesser of the two evils (at least you don't get nasty dry hits), and pretty much impossible to avoid in a bottom coil device.

Problem is, every eliquid is different in it's viscosity, and so it's not possible to create a fixed wicking aperture that ensures that 'just enough' liquid flows from the tank to the coil. Even using the same liquid, the time between drags, and the changing pressure in the tank effects wicking.

Easiest way to deal with excess wicking is to blow down the air tube to blow out the excess liquid, leaving behind the saturated wicking material.

As said, as long as it's not flooding fully, so you either leak liquid or inhale it, then the noise side of things is worth just ignoring - it's still better than having dry hits!

I've had it a few times where it spits in my mouth whilst dragging on it! It definitely tastes better as vapour than it does as liquid!!!

Get yourself a Naturevape coil.

Hugely better.

I get a fair bit of gurgling & lots of spitting/juice getting sucked up the drip tip on my Silo tank (as in LOADS of juice getting sucked up frown Usually fixed with a quick wipe inside the drip tip connector & gentle poke down the chimney with some kitchen roll, then couple puffs on a tighter air hole setting.

I know I'm a bit evangelical about the Billet Box, but it really is a great bit of kit if you're after a properly tough, well made and small mod.

By tough, I mean I've run over mine (accidentally! ) and it survived without a scratch...

However, it was an absolute pain in the arse getting it from the States.

Now Atmistique are selling them in the EU!

https://www.atmistique.gr/billetbox-en.html

Just waiting for them to get in the new glass fronted tank, to show off (at least when the box is opened!) my juice and billet bridge (which can be a bit fiddly to line up in the current tank).

Yep. And as I've already posted, it vape no better than an Aspire BVC starter kit.

But like a good watch, it's not just about that. The quality of engineering and manufacture. The fact it's made by one skilled bloke with a cnc machine.

It's toughness, and lack of fuss (zero, and I do mean zero chance of breaking it), no leaks of any kind. Enough juice capacity to last anyone a couple of days.

It's not cheap. Nor is it overpriced, if such things are important to you.

Plenty have spent well over a hundred notes on an atomiser alone, that doesn't work any better than a Nautilus (and is far more faff).

SupposeSit's a bit like spending a lot of dosh on a Porsche for the commute, when a Honda would, by any objective measure, either be just as good (and in some ways better)...

What's the problem with using a sub-ohm coil on an ego battery?

Are sub-ohms mainly for making a ridiculous amount of vapour?
Going to level the playing field a bit here.
Sub-ohming is dangerous in the same way that everything can be dangerous if you are a moron.
I went from Ego kit to vision spinner w/ Nautilus, kanger tanks etc and found they were crap, lack of flavour, vapour and everything else, just super ste.
But Mechs and sub-ohming changed all that, vaping is intense, full of flavour and fiddling with the parts is good fun if you're into that sort of thing.

I usually run my coils at .4-.6 on 26g wire on purple efest 35a batts which gives me plenty of headroom whereas I found below .4 to be too hot.
Like most things in life its different strokes for different folks and its something you should have a go at when you are more confident vaping.

There is a huge scaremongering thing about sub-ohming in the vaping community but its largely hyperbole by people who have never tried it which is exacerbated by the few morons who do stupid builds on stupid batteries and then lose fingers.

Tried a few Digbys juices this weekend. Great service and good quality, but the flavours weren't really to my taste.

I tried:
Oriental Plunder - This was my favourite. A tobacco flavour. I got mostly vanilla notes.

Moriya's Mix - Eucalyptus and menthol. Very powerful and a good palate clearer, but not an everyday vape.

Hooligan - A fruity mix with cherry dominating, but the overall flavour to me is bubblegum. Not keen.

True, sub-ohming can be perfectly safe (electrically). However, the average electrical ability (based on the builds I've seen online) really isn't sufficient to guarantee this.

The problem is, that governments are looking for a reason to crack down on vaping. Widely publicised accidents with kit is a great way for them to step in to 'protect us' from ourselves.

No criticism of you, but people playing with high energy densities and chemistry that doesn't behave how most people would expect - based mostly on watching online vids or reading forum threads can be worrying...

If I may, what's the main difference in the vape compared to say a good quality 1.4ohm atomiser on a decent variable wattage mod?

I'm on oriental plunder at the moment and all I get is ginger, literally nothing else! That's not a bad thing IMO, but I've mixed it with some cheap vanilla stuff I got with my kit and it's made it a really nice, smooth smoke.

X-factors on frown so to stop me going insane sat next to its biggest fan I've been sub ohm experimenting with a magma dripper smile

Got some 0.42 & 0.5mm kanthal in the post yesterday & cellucotton to try out.

Got the dual coil builds down to 0.3 & 0.4ohms, stabbed myself good under my finger nail with the wire too frown

Ok had tons of vapour but also lost a lot of flavour vs my nautilus mini. Maybe higher ohms would be better, I find 0.7ohms about right for me, but had to give it a try with the thicker wires, was going to try a very low build but not going to bother now. I know some prefer it and it's ok now & again...but can't be arsed anymore! Just want to swap a dead coil & vape!

Best part was smoking out the tv with a huge cloud just as the sing off finished hehe

Again with anything its the people that are the problem, some people break speed limits but does that mean we should ban all cars? Knee jerk reactions like these are common when people don't understand something and the government are always looking for reasons to ban something we enjoy wink
Also willing to bet more people have been harmed using the wrong charger on crappy egos and the like than sub ohming.

Largely as a community we need to make sure there is maximum education on the subject to ensure correct usage by individuals.

As to the vape it depends really and like most things its subjective but I found atomisers to have crap draw, even adjustables like the nautilus felt naff.
I can rebuild the coils in almost infinite ways giving me far greater control over how the vape comes out, different wire and ohms netting me more flavour, less heat etc.
I like quite a warm vape and couldn't find an atomiser that vaped warm enough for me.
And found that atomisers and VV devices take far too long to heat a coil up (may not be the case for serious gear IE. ivp3 etc
And finally I found flavour was better, much thicker and denser especially with desert flavours which I tend to prefer.

However I should mention that I vape for enjoyment on 0mg and can go days without a vape so the convenience of swapping a coil out wasn't a useful aspect to me which is something ex-smokers may consider heavily in there decision and rebuilding coils can get tedious if doing daily.

Fair points, and I completely agree - however the gov would find it for easier to crack down on vaping than banning cars (and to be fair, they're doing a fking good job of taking the enjoyment out of that!).

Agree with education as well, however in the absence of the ability to properly assess the quality of the content, people generally trust those that sound confident and have good production skills...

Thanks for the info, not for me (not just because of the potential for things to go wrong), I'm happy with my vape and struggle to understand the cloud chasing, massive wattage devices out there (equally, there's increasing evidence the health implications could be pretty bad).

Next big thing will be temp controlled vaping, and I'm looking forward to that. As long as I can find someone decent to convert my billet box to a high enough standard... (Yes, I'll fk about with a stupidly expensive bit of kit just to be able to choose the coil temp!)

There I think will be the answer to most people's needs - the ability to protect one's self from the harm associated with too high vaping temps, yet give as big a cloud as desired...

I've been holding off getting a DNA30 esque device since I saw the PBusardo video on temp controlled DNA40. I agree, I think it is the way we need to go, there are loads of the 100watt plus boxes out there and it doesn't take much to figure out that in the wrong hands (unfortunately what is going to be a majority that gets reported) they are going to be dangerous.

A nice billet sized box with a DNA 40 in it will be on my shopping list in the new year, until then I am happy with my aspire CF with Aerotank and Unicoil.

P.S. Norseman Chilly Cherry is really a very nice flavour if anyone is interested. http://norsemanvapoursupplies.bigcartel.com/produc... You can use NORESMAN10 for 10% off orders over £12 too! I've got a bottle of the Blud Juice sitting in the cupboard too, looking forward to trying that!
