i'm nearly 4 weeks into a cig free life... never gone that far thanks to this thread!
Good work that man. It's a great feeling when you realise that you don't actually like fags anymore.
Just wait until your sense of smell & taste return smile

My problem is that I do still like smoking (cigars). I just don't NEED the Cigars any more. Vaping more than satisfies the craving.

On the beach recently I smoked like a bloody chimney, well I was on me hols. Got off the plane back in blighty and had no problem switching back to the e-cig.

Been at this Vaping lark for a year now and apart from my hols and the odd moment in the pub garden haven't smoked at all. But it in no way has it helped me get off the nicotine.I'm just as addicted as I always was. If fact probably more so as I'm Vaping all bloody day now that I don't need to go out side to get my fix.

One day I'll have to just go cold turkey. Ultimately it's the only way.

Tried that. Went down to about 6mg 6 months back. Then tried a bottle of 0mg after 3 months and it just wasn't satisfying the craving. That's when I ended up in the Pub garden chomping on a big fat Havana. Am now back on 11mg.

I started at 24mg nearly a year ago, anything over 6mg gives me an instant headache now. As of Jan I'll only be buying juices in 3mg, then 3 months later I'll go to Zero and get myself a st load of it for my birthday.

0mg juices are cheaper right? wink

Why not mix some 0 and 6 so reducing the level but not stopping it all together. Im down to 6mg on all my juice and will be dropping to 3mg shortly.

when i first started vaping i still had tobacco and always went back to the cigs on instinct. first step was not having tobacco and giving yourself no choice but to vape.

i started on 18mg, now down to 12mg and 6mg juices and in a couple of weeks will attempt to start 0mg juices. i've heard from a couple of people that it's not easy but if you get a good quality juice and a flavour you really like its much easier.

just been into my local vape shop and they're stocking new stuff. just bought a bottle of heisenberg which is like a grape/blueberry with a hint of menthol. will see how i get on with that. also got an el toro dark puro which is like a mix of tobacco, peanuts and coffee.

I've also been vaping on gremlin vanilla custard for the day and it's pretty good but i prefer the manabush nanabozho i was using beforehand as it has a little something extra to it.

Where do you guys get your cotton wool for your rebuildables? Been to the local supermarkets but didn't spot any organic cotton wool. Best I could find is "100%* Cotton Wool" and don't fancy my chances with the *% or being bleached..

Cotty has a great point (as always!) Regarding dropping down mg levels. I struggled with 18-12mg so I mixed some ~15mg and happy days.

Also looking forward to dropping it entirely but I like it and what else is there to do in traffic besides blowing rings?!

I had a thought the other day about the whole going down to 0mg and I think I might have come up with a sneaky little way of doing it - getting my missus to buy the juices for me so I don't know what strength they are!

I reckon 90% of it is psychological anyway. Let's see how this one turns out.... smile

First review "Great for use in electronic cigarettes and RDAs. No boiling needed as it is 100% cotton. Enough cotton to last a lifetime. very happy!"

I just look at it as if you have a 10mg liquid and add a few drops of 8mg liquid, you are probably not going to notice the difference. Perhaps mix up a bottle 80% 10mg, 20% 8mg and vape for a week or so and change the percentage a bit on the next batch. Next thing you know you are ordering 8mg juice. Rinse, repeat until there is so little nicotine in your system you don't crave it. That's my plan.

Its not uncommon for people to smoke and vape, just using it as a way of cutting down the amount of real cigs they smoke. I still have 40 Benson & Hedges Silver in my house and lighters. I smoked 2 cigs the first week as I thought I was missing something, I was wrong and just found the whole vaping thing suited me better. I really should throw them out.

There are no hard and fast rules, so it is a bit of a minefield finding something that suits an individual. Some people like the throat hit so will seek out higher PG percentage juice, other like lots of vapour so go for higher percentage VG juice etc. Me I don't like overly sweet flavours of which there are a lot of. Im waiting for a nice chicken madras flavour for that after a few beers vape.

talking like proper padawan... we are not heer to fk you over, just offer advice.

You have taken it and its proven wonders... if you can tell your friends who smoke then we can keep on teaching.

Enjoy what you have done and keep going, this is what me, cotty and others enjoy seeing... taking someone who is a bit no... don't want to... then we show them that they can enjoy nicotine with out smoking and don't look back...

If you come off smoking, then great, if you decide vaping is better than smoking and stay on that... thats also a bonus and better than smoking.

This is coming from the hard core smokers on PH who would go through a 40 pack when having a heavy night, so know what its like.

Cheers Cotty, ordering some online totally slipped my mind! Went for 25% 18mg to 75% 12mg and that did the trick rather nicely. Started leaving it in the car whilst at work so I'm on side with Jonboy_t with there being a significant psychological factor. So just got to kick the habit and those tasty flavours.. cool

After a few beers on the other hand...

I am not sure I understand you correctly. When you order juice it comes at a set nicotine level. The percentages they quote are the level of PG (propylene glycol) to VG (vegetable glycol).

The bottle sizes are in ml (millilitres) the level of nicotine are in mg (milgram's).
