My Sigelei 50w v2 was waiting when I got home tonight clap Lovely bit of kit for the money, no rattly buttons and feels absolutely solid in the hand; I got it for a great price, but I would have been equally as happy at full price. Perfect size for a box mod, I had been considering it's big brother the 100w plus, but I'll not get near 50w, never mind 100w. Excellent taste and vapour production compared to the Vamo, both running at 10w for comparison. The only thing that annoyed me slightly is that it's branded with the suppliers juice brand, minor quibble considering I paid just over 2/3rds of what everywhere else is, and they don't have stock. Delighted with it, big step up over the Vamo.

Hopefully my Lemo drop will be here tomorrow...

With the Nautilus mini attached.

And next to my Vamo with full size Nautilus and a 10ml bottle for scale.

I've got quite large hands though!

Myepack have the 30w iStick in stock for £32.99, only in pink and blue; Grimm Green seemed to really like it with the new Joyetech tank.

That really does make sense, thanks. I didn't think that heat would be an issue health wise for these, certainly haven't read anything anywhere.

I think the problem with e-cigarettes is with them being such a new product and development constantly ongoing, they can definitely become an expensive habit!

Now the toss up is between going for a normal mech mod as I stated previously in this thread ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J0Z0AZG/ref=... ) or just splashing on one of these and having it replace my MVP2 and Aspire CF, whilst promising not to buy myself anything for a long time!

I'm guessing the versatility of the RDNA40 means that I wouldn't be looking to upgrade it anytime soon and it'd be suitable with most rebuildables (should I ever get into them) or clearomizers (nautilus/atlantis - or whatever else may come out in a week or two)?
thumbup I always find it difficult to judge - want to be helpful and not patronising!

What seems to be the issue is that at certain temps, instead of just boiling the liquid (keeping it identical chemically, but giving it enough energy to turn to vapour), it can cause actual chemical reactions - creating molecules that aren't perhaps so benign. I think there's also a component which is to do with particle size and lung irritation....

A DNA40 needs coils made of 'non-resistance' wire - the average coil is something stupid like 0.05ohm! Fine for rebuildables, and the chap from Evolv was very certain that all the coil manufacturers will be releasing NR versions of current coils (so BVCs/Evods/etc.).

Whilst I don't think anyone saw temp control coming - it does appear that it's the big change that will take a good while to be superceded, so you won't lose out getting one now.

At the end of the day, the mod bit is ultimately just a battery and switch. Yes, it might have fancy electronics, but it's still just sending current to the little pin! Most people I know focus far more on atomisers, where there is lots of scope for experimenting/tweaking to taste.

Personally, I'm bloody happy with my pretty simple billet box (it's straightforward vv) using bvc coils. I'd suggest getting a VW battery (like the istick or mvp) and giving rebuildables a try, then by the time you know exactly what you're after then there'll be loads of dna40 mods available (including the potential for a drop in chip to convert mech mods, like the original Evolv Kick)...

Been messing around with various bits of kit, but have finally settled on one that really works for me smile

iStick + mini nautilus, 1.8 ohm, set at 12W.
12mg juice (currently favouring sherbert lemon, pear drops and one called "hooligan").
One of the things I found was I wasn't getting enough throat hit so I usually add a drop or two of menthol to the tank.

Since having the CF Aspire I don't understand these "box mods" - does the glassomiser thing and coil just screw on to the top of that rather than into it? Can it be used with the K1 and the BVC thing I have already?
They screw onto the top, . Here are my two with a K1 on the left and BVC Nautilus on the right (click pic for larger version)

mine sit a little proud as I have an extra adapter on there that does this

Some fit inside the box. This is a custom job I have ordered from a mod maker on http://ukvapers.org/ but this is the last batch
Cotty, what is that foldable joint section called? Would make the box mod more portable for me in a suit pocket.

I carry mine in a suit pocket every day but don't use the bending function I just use it to protect the threads. When I want to take the tank off for refilling etc, I pop the button then unscrew it. Because it adds a spring loaded 510, I prefer to unscrew my Nautilus when it is not connected to the spring.
Its called the bending adapter

Just in from the pub/wine bar and received a package. Everyone loves vape mail bounce
10ml of Apple Bobbin A complex blend of Apples, Rum and Spices that will keep you warm on a cold winters night
10ml of Boiler Water A heady mix of eucalyptus and sweet cinnamon with a minty menthol note.
Im quoting the descriptions as I have not tried them yet but sound interesting.
http://www.lancashiresteamcompany.co.uk/shop.html

Nice blue glass bottles and they come with drippers.

Aspire do two kits. the starter kit with the K1 and slim battery and a premium kit with the mini Nautilus and a larger variable voltage 1000mah battery.
Yes you can use the K1 on the istick. If you buy the istick kit it will come with the 510 to ego adapter Like this

On one hand yes, I use one every day with a mini Nautilus, its a great combo. Probably the best battery/tank combo on the market today. On the other hand companies keep bringing out new products on an almost daily basis.

For me today an istick with a mini Nautilus is great. Tomorrow when I find they have a new istick and some new super tank my opinion may change.

I haven't owned an iStick but a couple of workmates have. General consensus is that it fires higher than the reading suggests - both were running lower wattage than they were expecting to with burnt taste at wattages they were previously using. And there's no floating centre pin on the 510 connector! (this should be a standard feature on the better batteries these days).

I recently got a Sigelei 100W plus, what a beast. Dual 18650 (Torchy Samsung 30A 2500 mAh cells). With a dual 28g twisted coil build (0.5ohm) in a dripper the battery will last at least a day I reckon, even at 60-70 watts and with a more sympathetic build (Lemo/Taifun) say 1.4 ohm 28g microcoil i reckon i'd get 3 days from it! Whilst it's a substantial box, compared to my Hana DNA30 it's certainly not awkward and build quality is spot on for £65!

Got my istick and nautilus today, just messing around with varying voltages etc, but I've found almost immediately that it's gurgling loads! Is there a seal or anything that can be loose on them? Haven't read the manual (of course!!) and I'm not at home now to do so, so just filled it straight out of the box with my favourite juice and it feels almost completely blocked!

Make sure you've got the coil screwed in properly and I also find some of the non bvc coils I've used, leak too.

Mine still occasionally clogs, and I solve it by giving a quick hard blow, the liquid comes out of the vent holes, so have a wet wipe ready to wipe off the excess.

Honestly, what kind of moron doesn't check to see if the coil is screwed in before filling up? Me, that's who. It wasn't....frown

Have been smoking for the 35 yrs and have just decided to try e-cigerettes,
I bought an aspire mini-nautilus with an eleaf istick 20watt 5.5v with 1.8 ohm coils, the juice is 18mg nicotine genie juice chocolate and the same in peach flavour.
I have read all the instructions for both devices and am still struggling to find the sweet spot to not be swamped with a bitter taste and start coughing..
Do i press the heat button as i put it in my mouth and suck (as on the youtube vids they seem to take 3 small sucks and be in dense fog.
I have it set to 6.0watts 3.4 volts and 1.8 ohms,i know that its all individual regarding taste etc but am i missing something obvious?

Try turning it up to 10 watts and go from there. I've got my SVD 2.0 locked at 12, as I've found that to be the sweet spot for all the juices I'm using.

You also may need to steep the liquid. The liquids get more flavour the older they get, they're a bit like wine.

You can speed the steeping process up by a number of ways. A quick 5 second blast in the microwave or putting the bottle in some hot water, are 2 of them.

Just keep a very close eye on them though. Both processes can melt the plastic of the bottle.

Chocolate doesn't seem to work in my Nautilus though. It was lovely in my old Ego but I could never find a sweet spot on the Nautilus, it's the only flavour that tastes worse.

I usually stick to fruity flavours now, as I think that's what works best. Cherry is very nice and so is Apple.

You could also try changing the coil for a 1.6ohm one too. The 1.6 coils give a much better tasting vape in my opinion but make sure you replace it with a genuine Aspire BVC coil.
