Kanger Subtank Mini.

First impressions are very good. Stuck the 1.2 ohm coil in (I'm not intending to go back to buying premade coils, but it comes with two plus the RBA section) and filled her up with Peachee fields juice. Flavour is very full, vapour is good on the middle air hole setting. Fully open it's proper airy, bit tight for me on smallest hole. Takes 4.5ml juice.

Paid £24 I think from UK E Cig Store, on offer til the 26th, freel delivery, and POTV coupon gets you an extra quid and a bit off.

Oh, looks the shizzle on the Hana as well wink love the look of it!
Can that tank work with BVC coils? They are all I am used to and I like the self-contained nature rather than pssing about with wicks etc myself.

I am after something with a bigger tank than the K1 I have started off with as it needs refilling several times a day.
It comes as standard with a 0.5ohm coil that will need a suitable device to fire it, a 1.2 ohm coil, and a rebuildable section; so yes it can be used only on coils.

There is also a Subtank nano that only takes coils; 18mm diameter and 2.8ml capacity iirc. £19.99 at MyEpack. It's getting great reviews.

Robin, if you're interested in giving it a go, there's three things you need - a battery, an atomiser, and liquid.

The first two are easy - the istick and mini Nautilus are the current daddies for both new starters and experienced vapers who want something small, powerful, simple and relatively cheap.

There are links over the last couple of places.

As for Liquids, try them all! Most people find that whilst they preferred certain fag brands, they don't actually like the taste of cigarettes. You'll never get a direct match anyway as you're not burning anything (oh, and your taste buds will reincarnate after a week or two changing everything anyway!).

So most tend to buy the flavours they like outside of smoking. For me, that's fruity and dessert flavours (custards, fruit salads, cheesecake, etc.) and there's plenty of variety.
I think things are changing so quickly in the vaping world that the istick 20w and Nautilus mini are not the 'daddies' any more in their price range. The istick 30w or Sigelei 30w plus a kanger Subtank mini or nano will provide at least as good a vape/better build quality, if not better, for only a few pounds more. It'll also be more capable if you choose to sub ohm or get in to rebuilding (Subtank mini not nano)

This is most of the Aspire family. K1 on the istick, 2 Mini Nautilus in the middle that hold 2ml of juice each and the original 5ml Nautilus on the left. The Nautilus use a slightly different BVC coil than the K1 so when ordering coils make sure they are Nautilus BVC coils. I use maybe 2/3 ml of juice a day and sometimes fill a 5ml Nautilus which will last me a weekend.

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it more. I have a few friends who use them and know me well so maybe I'll ask them. I'm seeing one of them for dinner later anyway smile

Cotty, how do you rate the Aspire K1? I suggested it to a work mate as a possible beginner tank being 7 quid so not too much to invest. It looks like it should be fine.

I would second that. Few I know bought the iStick 20 and nautilus not long ago and have already moved on simply because there's better stuff now. Not to say those bits are bad at all.

When I think what I started out with and what a struggle it was at times, there's never been a better time to give it a go. A newb vapour can practically achieve the same quality vape as an experienced rebuilder right out of the box for not that many £'s, which I think is brilliant smile

Its pretty good it uses the BVC cols like the Nautilus but slightly different/smaller (double check when ordering)
BVC coils https://www.ukecigstore.com/aspire-bvc-replacement...
Nautilus BVC coils https://www.ukecigstore.com/aspire-nautilus-bvc-co...
I am waiting for a mod to be built called the Runt and will be using one as my stealth vape. One of the issues is it only holds 1.5ml of juice. So if you are chain vaping you will need to keep topping it up. But unlike the Nautilus its pretty easy to unscrew and top it up on the go. I don't tend to vape much outside of my house and I usually carry two tanks so even if its two K1's that's 3ml of juice that will last me all day.

Its pretty slim so if they have an ego battery its going to look ok.
If you start putting big tanks onto an EGO battery its going to look silly like this. (5ml Nautilus on an ego battery)

I keep wondering if I should change my ways and get one of these.

Then I come over all lazy and buy a pack of Marlboro.
I used to think this but after 40 odd years of smoking I decided it was time to change my ways.
Over the years I had made several attempts to pack it in,none of the attempts were successful mainly because I wasn't committed enough and lacked the willpower to see it through, I also enjoyed everything about smoking too much.

Admittedly it took a health scare for action and E-Cigs has made the transition from smoker (30 odd a day) to non-smoker incredibly easy.

I'm 3 months 26 days in, with no mishaps (sneaky cigarettes) and can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done.

On the day I jacked it in I downloaded the following App :
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/smoke-free-quit-sm...

Great bit of kit, tells you how long you've been cig free, £ savings you've made and monitors the improvements in health you should be experiencing.
It's a great motivator as well as you can set it up to tell you when you've reached a monetary milestone as to when as a result of not smoking, you can buy something you've listed on the App.
According to the App I've saved £1500 odd already, a nice holiday in anyone's book!

For me personally the pen type batteries work OK, I have a selection from various sources, but tend to favour Kangertech stuff-

Batteries:
http://www.kangeronline.com/collections/kangertech...

Clearomisers:
http://www.kangeronline.com/products/mini-protank-...

All available on Amazon.

E-juices are very personal, I prefer the menthol stuff and use Vapourlite juice:
http://www.vapourlites.com/e-liquid/vapourlites-ic...
http://www.vapourlites.com/e-liquid/vapourlites-me...

Favourite at the minute is from the Artisan Vapour Company, which only seems to be available from here:

As i mentioned in my previous post i did about 30 a day from roll ups and ended on sterling superkings over 35yrs and after 2 days of only vaping i have noticed a few differenes to my normal routine.
Coffee now tastes harsh.
food has more flavour or seems to taste different?
My sense of smell seems more acute.
The biggest difference is with routine as i was always making sure i had a lighter on me + fags when i went out,at the end of the night put water in the ashtray and empty it in the morning, having a break from what i was doing for a "fag break" etc......
Also after quitting when i come home at night i'm not confronted with the stale fag smell, people over the years have said just go cold turkey and stop but i smoked because i enjoyed it but hitting 50 yrs old with no ailments i thought now was the time.....................BUT FOR SOME REASON I'M NOT CRAVING A REAL CIGARETTE after a good vape.
Happy days.

That's kind of the point. Get rid of the crap in real cigs and just vape.

Looking for a bit of advice if possible please.

Rather stupidly dropped my MVP 2.0 with iClear 30 attached and now it's not working. Switches on, can adjustable voltage etc fine and all looks ok. Just doesn't 'burn' if that's the correct term.

Any idea what could be wrong and if it's repairable?

Yup, I've been off the fags over a year so thought I'd stop vaping. After a couple of weeks I started wanting a fag which doesn't normally happen these days.

I've started vaping again just to be safe and the craving has completely gone.

Well my kit I ordered arrived today, just opened it and no mini nautilus but a K1 glassomizer. Not happy and a phone call first thing in the morning I think.
Got it now, went into the shop as we were going to the Westfield. Good guys, told them what happened and he swapped it straight away, no questions and made an apology so all is cool:-)

The only comparison i can think of is book reading ( bear with me),I have always loved reading books as in the texture/smell/feel and but everyone used to say "why don't you get an ereader" and my reply was "its just not the same" but after getting a kindle paperwhite for xmas there are no downsides apart from the intial expense the same as my istick & mini nautilus.
There are also no piles of books that i have read in boxes. (I know i should get to the charity shop) and all the books that i have read so far have been free?.
So last night i was reading on the KINDLE,vaping on me e-cig and drinking a can of BODDINGTONS in a glass (only £7.99 for 12 don't you know) obviousley not the same price as in a pub and the atmosphere is'nt the same but if anyone said 5yrs ago that i would be doing what i do now i would have said "don't talk st"

Two and a half years since I've binned cancer sticks. Not a single one since then and no craving for one. One of the best decisions ever made.

Now, what is the general opinion are Nautilus clearomizers worth the price?

Thanks.

From memory with mine, it should be fine - it's relatively clever, so if anything was broken inside it wouldn't show anything.

However, it sounds like the connection to the atomiser isn't there - try checking the resistance (hold down both buttons iirc), it'll probably come up as 'no atty attached)...

Couple of things may work, take the atty off, and gently pull the little pin that makes contact out. Only a little, it'll come out fully if you give it a tug, dumping all the liquid over your hands!

If that doesn't work, a new head on the atty should sort it.

Failing that, it's fubar'd, but I doubt it.

Good luck!

I have two K1s, I have replaced the BVC coils with BDC - much, much better in my opinion and no need to carry something as big as the nautilus as I was never a huge smoker and a tankful lasts me 4/5 days

Thanks for the reply Sway. I popped in to the shop I bought it from yesterday and he checked it out. Turns out it was just the wick that needed replacing, I knew it was on it's way out anyway but just weird that the drop was the thing that killed it. So happy days, it's back working again.

Problem is I'm now fancying an upgrade after looking at different options.

What would be recommended to move up from an MVP 2.0 with the iClear 30?
