thumbup Glad you got it sorted.

You've got a bloody good battery. OK, it's not the smallest, most powerful or prettiest - but it's pretty damn good.

So I'd leave that alone and go for a better atomiser.

If you want the convenience of just swapping heads, then I'd probably say grab a Nautilus. Not much dosh, much nicer than the iclear30, job done.

Happy to have a go experimenting with building coils? Then the classic is the Kaifun (or 91% proof clone) and a whole load of people seem to love them. There's a huge amount of variety out there though, and every option will have it's supporters.

If you want something completely new, shiny and fancy, then really need to know what you like - good engineering/good looks/ease of use/clouds of vapour/etc.. Oh, and what budget!

I'm stuck and can't make my mind up. I really want to try the Aspire Atlantis but currently don't have a battery that would fire it. I know they now do their own sub ohm battery but would that battery be ok with my two Nautilus tanks. I like the look of the Cloupor mini 30 watt also! so would the Cloupor be a better buy than the Aspire Battery as I can see it has a screen and you can adjust the power. There are just too many choices

I'd steer clear of the Cloupor... many reports of it overheating and going up in flames...

The aspire battery works but isn't anything special for the money. If you fancy something boxy like the cloupor then there are a few options around at the moment, but there are lots more on horizon so it may be worth waiting a month or so to see what else comes out. There is a huge surge in small/mini boxes at the moment.
Sigelei, smok, aspire and many others all have some on the way.

The Cloupor 30 is a very good device, however it has one flaw - it takes 0.8sec to fire from sleep (it goes to sleep after 2 minutes) So you pick it for a drag, press the button and nothing happens, that would drive me nuts. Phil Busardo on YouTube the was particularly scathing about this aspect of the device.

As for tanks to sub-ohm, the kanger subtank mini gives the option 0.5 or 1.2 ohm coils and also a rebuildable section, for the same price as the Atlantis. The standard coils are really easy to rebuild yourself, which seeing as they are £2 a pop could save you a few quid over time - Rip Trippers has a how to on YouTube.

There's quite a few devices due out any day that are going to bring an excellent vaping experience for not much more than a branded starter kit would have cost about a year ago; Sigelei 30w & 50w v2, eleaf istick 30w and 50w and more.

Would an 80% VG juice work in the nautilus? Looking at Digby's DMC which is the thicker version of mums custard, really like the normal one so I'm sure a bigger cloud would be just as welcome smile

Thanks buddy. To be honest it's a far more complex 'hobby' than I anticipated when I bought my first kit. I like it to be easy to use, but still retain some good looks and performance.

From your last paragraph I think I'd like something that is a good all rounder. I like it to look good and well engineered, be easy to use and produce a good amount of vapour. Possibly a placebo thing but it looks good. As for budget, it wasn't something I'd anticipated so I don't have one biggrin. No more than about £30 I would say.

Would the Nautilus tick these boxes?

Yep, a Nautilus will look fine on your battery, and give you a better vape.

Much less than 30 quid too!

The mini Nautilus (2ml capacity) is probbaly the best of the bunch. But I and some others have encountered difficulty undoing it to refill. I find I have to use a pair of pliers, not an issue for me as I vape less than 2ml during the daytime so if I need a top up in the evening ill have my pliers at my desk at home with my juice. Also I carry two mini Nautilus so even if I go for a beer im unlikely to go though 4ml of juice. Also if you are a little clumsy you can replace the glass tank with a stanless steel one.

However I will be using the K1 as my daytime vape as it is smaller and lighter and im having a mod built that will hide it inside the battery case. Although it only holds 1.5 ml its pretty easy to unscrew and top up on the go. Carrying a 5ml bottle of juice to top it up is no problem.

I've tried a different 80vg custard in my big Nautilus and tbh it struggles with it, coils clog up quickly. Mix it with some 50/50and it's no bother, great vapour. I'd suggest buying both DMCs and mixing them 20ml of 50/50 to 10ml 80vg for best results.

I received the Kanger Subtank Mini on Friday and have been vaping it all weekend. It is bloody brilliant. As I mentioned, it gives the kind of vape straight out of the box that the you would chase using rebuildables. You cannot go wrong.

It's definitely worth learning how to recoil the standard heads, as a 10m roll of Kanthal wire and some japanese cotton will cost you less than a fiver and you'd be sorted for an age. Tools needed are only nail clippers, tweezers, sharp scissors and a couple of small 2/3mm screwdrivers/drill bits. Check linky below, it really is quite easy...

Honestly, watch that and tell me you couldn't do it wink

Oh, thumbs up for Sigelei stuff, the 30w mini looks great. I bought the 100 watt plus which is a fantastic piece of kit, very well built smile

BA Vapes have the iStick 30w, pink or silver only, in stock if anybody is after one - I ordered stuff from them the other day and it came in a couple of days. Add 'reddit' at the checkout for a bit more off.

Just ordered the 100ml variety bundle fron the Lancaster Steam Co, looking forward to trying them.

I've been on the mini nautilus/Istick combo for a month now and not wanted a single fag yet, despite vapping whilst others are tabbing, impressed, must be better for me Shirley......

I'm just about to do the same!

Recommendations from Lancaster Steam Co.? Apple bobbin I've picked up smells good (c'mon Cotty give it a taste!), like the sound of the Governor...

Favourite liquid is Snake Oil, otherwise fruits/custards/menthol.

Cheers!

Long time no see Phil....did you get a whippet in the end.....hehe

Toyed with the idea of vapping a while back, took the plunge in the xmas/ new year break, gone from 20 (read 30) Marlboro lights to zero overnight. The surprise is it doesn't bother me in the slightest if someone lights up besides me, tried all methods of giving up before and never been able to say that before.
Next step will be to reduce the nicotine content down, currently on 12mg, which given I seem to suckle on the stick a bit too much means I'm sometimes feel like I'm nicotine overdosing....

I would be interested to hear what you think of them. I have tried 3 different juices but only liked 2.
