Could someone please write me a list of all the equipment I need, so that I can start using a re-buildable dripping atomizer.

Many thanks in advanced.

Coiling tool, ceramic tweezers, mini chef's blowtorch, atomiser resistance checker, wicking material and wire...

If I bought this:

After building the coil, do you just fill the tank up like you do on the Aspire Nautilus?

Yep, the only difference with a rebuildable is that you make the coil, in use they're exactly the same as a regular atty.

Most have some deficiency compared to 'normal' kit, bit like a Caterham or Lotus! Always worth a play to see if you like the benefits more than the downsides (things like limited juice capacity/leaks/etc.).

So in terms of flavour and throat hit, what's better, a drip tank or a conventional tank with a RBA?

Plus, if I decide to try out sub-vaping, is it just a case of buying lower resistance wire?

My Innokin SVD 2.0 is capable of 0.5ohms and 20 watts.

Drippers aren't tank atties, you drip juice into them as needed. Most will have wells for wicking material which will take "a few fags" equivalent of juice. If you are planning to get into sub-ohming I would strongly advise joining something like UK Vapers as the rebuildable atomiser is a route to madness without access to experienced advice.

I know you drip juice into a drip tank, just wondering if they offer any better flavour or throat hit.

I'm not going to try sub-vaping any time soon. it's just something I might try at a later time. I'm aware of the dangers, if it's done incorrectly, so wouldn't try it until I'm confident enough.

Was just wondering that if I do get to the stage that I want to try it, would I have to buy a new atomizer and tank or could I use the RBA I already had but with a lower resistance wire.

General opinion is that Drippers give better flavour and throat hit than tank atomisers. It is also my opinion...

Great, thanks for that. Got any recommendations of what the best ones are?

Have a look at the article I linked to few posts back - it describes just about every Dripper I have experience of. A warning - if you are after flavour and hit rather than "clouds" I'd advise going for an atomiser with tighter airflow and a reduced chamber - the article lists some

I'm a big clone fan (copies/replicas.....basically rip off of the originals!) you can get some fantastic 1:1 clones now. Best I've got is the Rose V2 clone but they're a bit of a faff to build, came close to binning mine as I just couldn't get it right. Got the hang of it now and it's superb.

For a first rebuildable I'd try a Taifun GT clone. I've got 4 now no they're all great. You can also get the Dripper kit for these so you just replace the tank/top cap with this and drip instead.

Loads more available but that's the general idea.

I prefer RTA's over dripping but they are handy for testing different juices out.

Think I'm pretty set on getting the UD AGA T7 but how do you know what thickness of resistance wire to put in it and thickness of wicking material?

Again I'd suggest asking the UKV forum as there will be people there using the Aga T7 and they can say what works best for them. I'd guess (and it is a guess) that 32awg kanthal would be a good start, - I'd recommend using Japanese cotton for wicking and you can trim that to any thickness you want to suit the coil you have made.

I tend to use 0.3mm Kanthal for anything above 1.0ohms then thicker wire like 0.5mm for sub ohming but this is with single coil builds, dual coils you half the resistence, so two 1.4ohm coils will get you 0.7ohm dual coils.....I just stick to single coils though as I'm lazy!

Wicking material I use Japanese cotton and peel the top & bottom layers off, so cut the strips slightly thicker and get a snug fit in the coil. Coil diameter I tend to keep at 0.3mm or drop to 2.5mm in some smaller tanks.

Just need to play around with it mate and see what's best for you. A coiling tool like these Kuro Koilers are very handy and cheap from FT. Just get a bag of organic cotton balls as they're cheap.

Thanks for input. So if I make two 1.4ohm coils, it will show 0.7ohms on my device?

Yep smile

Worth getting an ohm checker though, also handy to build on wink

Can you buy organic Japanese cotton from any high-street shops like Boots or a Pharmacy?
