Gizmo arrived today, as you can see it is pretty small next to the 30w istick.
Finishing on it is excellent and am pretty chuffed.
The Naturevape mini is drinking the juice pretty rapidly on it have to say.

Be careful with the threading of the Naturevape Mini on the Gizmo. Also make sure to take it apart to clean it, the contact between your tank and the mod can get very, very gunky. I purchased a Gizmo when the first batch came out and my NV mini didn't last too long. Since then, I've not bothered using it but have just ordered a new tank from them as I feel like a bit of a bell blowing clouds outside work with my current set up.
Yes wondered about the cleaning as cannot reach down there unless it is taken apart.
Have you tried a different tank on the Gizmo apart from the naturevape ? The tank is noisy to begin with which I presume is because of the nature of the coil however on the Gizmo it is so much worse which I presume is because of the extra voltage which cannot be controlled.
Fancy something a bit quieter.

By the way Dizzy may be you are not aware if you want you can get those tanks for less than a fiver https://www.fasttech.com/product/1528500

Yes see what you are saying, am getting used to coil building as have the Kayfun3.1 so had to learn fast so bought all the gadgets to build coils.
Probably have too much time on my hands.
In that case you might like the Kanger subtank it comes with pre built coils or you can build your own on the RBA section that comes with it.
Annoying git but very informative
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8rO6PoMgU4

You can buy premade coils but likewise not something I want to get into

Hehe yes have my eyes on the Kanger subtank also.
In a way I wish I was the type that bought a £20 jobby and just vapes anything as it would cost so much less, saying that the ones that do that most probably get bored and let down with their crappy purchase and resort back to smoking.

It's definitely noisy but I quite like it, makes it feel as if it's working? Not yet found another tank. When I originally purchased it however, many months ago, I went into UK-Ecig but they had nothing that would fit. Plus I like NV's coils and being able to rewick them.

Did you get the V2 or V1? I think there's a kick for the newer version but I've no idea how that would work, I've not really meddled in mech mods too much.

TX1, thanks for the link! Unfortunately I ordered earlier today at work, so can't go back on that now!

PS if you want, there's a really good video on YouTube from the modmaker that shows how to take it apart etc, if you've not done so before. I'll try dig out the link for you, if you need it?

I got the V1 as I thought it looked better, the kick just gives some extra voltage.
There is a video on the Gizmo site showing the kick working, hardly worth it as I think its only .2 of a volt you would gain.
Gizmo site also has a different tank on that would fit, naturevape is not selling the Gizmo anymore and Gizmo is not selling the Naturevape tank so seems like they went their own ways.
Sorry did not see the ? at the end of your sentence, yes watched the vid of him taking it apart, thx.

I have been criticised in the past for suggesting starter kits over the £20 mark. But those starter kits have contained things like the Aspire K1 and the Nautilus mini both of which I use to this day.

In case you missed it on the previous page, my current set up contains many cheap bits of kit that keep me going though the day.

Ordered some Hodges Homebrew on Monday night and it arrived today, great service! Buy 3 get the 4th free - they only do 35 or 100 ml bottles. Got apple pie and custard in 50/50 12mg and same again in 70vg/30pg 6mg, rhubarb and custard 70vg/30pg 6mg and totally tropical (lilt) in 50/50 12mg - 140ml for £33 delivered. Apple pie is tasty but very sweet, my ADV is generally Digby's apple and cinnamon pudding; totally tropical is rather nice from the brief try I had, and yet to try rhubarb and custard but I can see me mixing it with the apple pie to take the edge off the sweetness.

Great value for money considering the quality/taste, quantity and speed of delivery.

Hi, could you guys tell me if a ProTank mini 3 Kanger BDCC 1,5 ml DualCoil Glasstank KangerTech will work well with a Mudder 2200mAh Electronic Cigarette Battery with Power Remaining Indicator and Power Protection System ?

It's all a bit bewildering out there

Have attempted to join the world of temp control. Big move seeing how evangelical I've been about my Billet Box.

Ordered the Yihi SX mini M class, a subtank mini with nickel occ heads, and some juice. Arrives tomorrow. Gonna be very different to the simple, brick like and effectively unchangeable vv box! Had to actually think about what atty to get - haven't had that choice for a long while. Have heard good things about the subtank for temp control, but any tips for others?

Forgot however to order batteries. Bugger.

What are the current top quality 18650 batteries, and where best to get them? Think the mod needs a minimum 25A rating... Somewhere I can select reliable next day Saturday delivery would be appreciated!

I don't mind the whole vapey pretend cigarette thing now, each to there one and all that. If it works for you then well done, I never complained about none smokers when I did so why the halfway house? So I understand more, and that this thread helps people, that's cool.

But rofl Do you set them up before the 'shoot' and sometimes put them in different scenarios for different outfits? "When I head out to value a collection I like to wear my silver insurance suit with a Kangol K7 and a micro atomising wick master'; 'if I ever speak to a woman ever again I might take a leaf out of the true Vapeheads book. IYSWIM'. Etcetera. Do you talk to them? 'Got a shoot tonight lads, we're on the none ironed sheet so make it count, this IS NOT budget kitchen roll!'.

Samsung 25R.
Sony VTC4 (the VTC5 is superior but notoriously hard to get hold of now, believe they're discontinued).
I believe that the LG HE5 (yellow wrap) is also meant to be quite good.

As well as torchy, there's myepack who I purchased my Sonys from for my SX350 J. Never had an issue with them and my builds go down to c. 0.3/4 ohms. I'm not sure how it works with nickel though, I've heard the ohms read far less when building.

Stay away from anything labelled "fest" at the end for 18650s. Efest apparently bump up their figures for advertising and rely heavily on max amp rather than continuous.

Atty wise, all depends on what you're looking for. Dripper/tank? Any experience building? I went from a Nautilus Mini to dripping (Dark Horse but going to be buying a Derringer once it's back in stock) and all been fairly easy (I also bought a coil jig, the boom revolver or something). Just be aware that nickel is apparently more of a pain in the arse to build on than kanthal!

Thanks chaps, a pair of vtc4 are on their way from myepack, along with a nice new nitecore digital charger to replace my stupidly noisy and fairly unintelligent trustfire one.

In terms of attys, I'm tempted by a nice dripper, seeing as it'll be impossible to burn the wick. Something that's easy to build (reading up it seems titanium is the wire of choice for the ease of coiling and the resistance suits temp control), with great flavour and decent looks (yes, I am a massive tart!).

Gave coiling a go a couple of years ago (pre billet box), and hated it - but then I didn't have a coiling jig, or a resistance checker, etc.

So, decent dripper, and coiling tool kit suggestions please! Like a kid at Christmas...

Should be fine, although I've not heard of that battery before...

If its a typical ecig battery, there'll be no issue, virtually everything has a 510 thread (one of two 'standards', with the other ego thread being much rarer).

Did you really just take a school class type photograph of your vape collection? You need to make sure the tall ones go at the back and the naughty vapes go front and centre where they cant make trouble. Amateurism.

Drippers are a bloody minefield lately, I'll chuck out a few suggestions for flavour. Bear with me as there's a lot written below!

There are things called "genesis atomisers" which are apparently great for flavour but they use, I believe, mesh for wicking and all of that is far too much of a pain in the ass for me.

1) Freakshow Mini - Everywhere I've seen with this has been getting good reviews. Not that expensive for a genuine either, c. £20. Made by guys that make a lot of clones though, so I'm not too sure on the quality. The engraving on there also doesn't appeal but that's personal choice.
2) Derringer - Custom-Vapes are the only guys in the UK that I've seen stock this and they'll be getting some more in two weeks. Tiny little thing but apparently meant to be really good for flavour. c. £55. This will be probably be my next atty. A bit of a pain to build on though as
2a) Haze Mini - Yet to find one in the UK but think Derringer with more airflow options.
3) Dark Horse - This is what I currently use. Great deck with huge post holes so easy enough to build on. I'd say it's more of a cloud atty than flavour though, hence me dipping into buying a Derringer next.
4) Tugboat V2 - I was going to buy this instead of the Derringer but apparently the copper center post is a big no no as there's currently debate as to how it reacts with your liquid etc at heat. A shame though as it's been getting really good reviews otherwise. I believe there is a clone with a stainless steel post though, could be an option?
5) Aeolus - Meant to be really good for flavour, I believe it's c. £65. Other than that, I've not heard much about it.

The problem is, there are TOO many choices. As soon as you buy something, another product comes out!

Coil jig - Something like the Kuro. Basically you slide in your wire, twist the top and voila, a coil pops out. Much, much easier to use and especially good for those that want to drip but don't actually enjoy faffing around with builds.

The resistance checker is a great idea, even if you could just use the SX to read out ohms anyway. It makes things far easier to build on.

Also pick up a precision screwdriver set, the cheap jobbie as well as a decent pair of wire cutters. The screwdrivers are really useful for moving around coils to the right place and the wire cutters speak for themselves really.

I really don't get it at all I'm afraid. In my head vaping / e-cigs are a way of pretending to yourself that you've quit an unpleasant habit when all you've done is replace it with an artificial substitute for the same thing and got all self-important about irrelevant details.

Exactly the same as strutting down the street brandishing your fleshlight and then bragging that it's a special edition moulded off the fanjita of Gianna Michaels.
