Lancashire Steam Company

Makes it sound all romantic, images of times gone by, halcyon days indeed!

However I hear there are many people who say the threads on the Sigelei mini 30W are like butter and stay away. I leave the base attached and just unscrew the tank to top it up/change a coil.
How do you rate the Kanger tank Cotty? I was looking at them the other day as my Atlantis appears to be buggered after sitting unused for 6 weeks with juice in it and the battery connected. Had thought about switching allegiances having used nothing but Aspire products so far, plus the Kanger stuff comes with quite a bit more goodies than the Aspire range.

Its pretty good. I have only been using the premade 1.2ohm coils at 16w. No leaks and good airflow for direct lung inhales, flavour is good. I have not used the Atlantis so can not compare, plus isn't the Atlantis 2 out now with additional airflow in the drip tip.

It is, but I fancied trying a different manufacturer to add to my ever growing collection of damaged or broken e-cig equipment!

It probably just needs a good clean to get the old juice out. You can pick up a cheap sonic jewellery cleaner for a few quid. Got to be better than just chucking it.

I don't mind the whole vapey pretend cigarette thing now, each to there one and all that. If it works for you then well done, I never complained about none smokers when I did so why the halfway house? So I understand more, and that this thread helps people, that's cool.

But rofl Do you set them up before the 'shoot' and sometimes put them in different scenarios for different outfits? "When I head out to value a collection I like to wear my silver insurance suit with a Kangol K7 and a micro atomising wick master'; 'if I ever speak to a woman ever again I might take a leaf out of the true Vapeheads book. IYSWIM'. Etcetera. Do you talk to them? 'Got a shoot tonight lads, we're on the none ironed sheet so make it count, this IS NOT budget kitchen roll!'.
Bit of class there Moles, you have to admit.
I really don't get it at all I'm afraid. In my head vaping / e-cigs are a way of pretending to yourself that you've quit an unpleasant habit when all you've done is replace it with an artificial substitute for the same thing and got all self-important about irrelevant details.

Exactly the same as strutting down the street brandishing your fleshlight and then bragging that it's a special edition moulded off the fanjita of Gianna Michaels.
I don't pretend at all, I'm still addicted to nicotine but I get it in a much safer package so I'll probably live a bit longer which is a good thing. Sure, I look a bit of a , but I look a bit of a even without my e-cig...

Got some home brew delivered from Vampire today, looking forward to trying it out.

Also got the Aspire ESP30 VW battery and thought I'd try a sub ohm Atlantis 2 with it too......by feck it does produce a lot of smoke! Here it is next to my mini Nautilus on a Istick...

Love the Atlantis V2. What do you make of it so far?

Has anyone got a Sigelei 100w Plus? I want to get a more powerful mod as I've started building coils and using my RDA a bit more.

If a lack of any long term, peer-reviewed studies is proof of safety then e-cigs are pretty safe indeed. Why would inhaling vaporised antifreeze be bad for you after all?

I *know* one will kill me, my lungs tell me the other is doing less harm.

I vape 100% VG, that's vegetable last time I looked.

Well tobacco's a plant too, doesn't mean you should smoke/vaporise it! smile

As far as I'm concerned vaping is the lesser of two evils. That's good enough for me for now.

Thanks chaps, a pair of vtc4 are on their way from myepack, along with a nice new nitecore digital charger to replace my stupidly noisy and fairly unintelligent trustfire one.

In terms of attys, I'm tempted by a nice dripper, seeing as it'll be impossible to burn the wick. Something that's easy to build (reading up it seems titanium is the wire of choice for the ease of coiling and the resistance suits temp control), with great flavour and decent looks (yes, I am a massive tart!).

Gave coiling a go a couple of years ago (pre billet box), and hated it - but then I didn't have a coiling jig, or a resistance checker, etc.

So, decent dripper, and coiling tool kit suggestions please! Like a kid at Christmas...
Drippers are a bloody minefield lately, I'll chuck out a few suggestions for flavour. Bear with me as there's a lot written below!

There are things called "genesis atomisers" which are apparently great for flavour but they use, I believe, mesh for wicking and all of that is far too much of a pain in the ass for me.

1) Freakshow Mini - Everywhere I've seen with this has been getting good reviews. Not that expensive for a genuine either, c. £20. Made by guys that make a lot of clones though, so I'm not too sure on the quality. The engraving on there also doesn't appeal but that's personal choice.
2) Derringer - Custom-Vapes are the only guys in the UK that I've seen stock this and they'll be getting some more in two weeks. Tiny little thing but apparently meant to be really good for flavour. c. £55. This will be probably be my next atty. A bit of a pain to build on though as
2a) Haze Mini - Yet to find one in the UK but think Derringer with more airflow options.
3) Dark Horse - This is what I currently use. Great deck with huge post holes so easy enough to build on. I'd say it's more of a cloud atty than flavour though, hence me dipping into buying a Derringer next.
4) Tugboat V2 - I was going to buy this instead of the Derringer but apparently the copper center post is a big no no as there's currently debate as to how it reacts with your liquid etc at heat. A shame though as it's been getting really good reviews otherwise. I believe there is a clone with a stainless steel post though, could be an option?
5) Aeolus - Meant to be really good for flavour, I believe it's c. £65. Other than that, I've not heard much about it.

The problem is, there are TOO many choices. As soon as you buy something, another product comes out!

Coil jig - Something like the Kuro. Basically you slide in your wire, twist the top and voila, a coil pops out. Much, much easier to use and especially good for those that want to drip but don't actually enjoy faffing around with builds.

The resistance checker is a great idea, even if you could just use the SX to read out ohms anyway. It makes things far easier to build on.

Also pick up a precision screwdriver set, the cheap jobbie as well as a decent pair of wire cutters. The screwdrivers are really useful for moving around coils to the right place and the wire cutters speak for themselves really.
The Derringer is a piece of piss to build on - granted my one is a clone, and the clone apparently has better screws that don't guillotine the wire; they're a fiver from Fasttech or a tenner from myepack.

Freakshow mini is meant to be great for flavour.

Marquis is awesome for flavour - again my one is a clone, the real deal is nearly $150 - Prof Beard of this parish reviewed a genuine on UKVapers. Easy to coil, tricky to wick, but hands down the best flavour I've had from an atty.

I've got a boom boom coiler, it was £12, and makes perfect coils every time in a choice of 2/2.5/3mm - what I do is add two extra turns to my required resistance, remove the coil and flip it 180 degrees, refit, and pull off the extra two turns, perfect coil. Kuro coiler will do the same thing.
I use http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp to determine how many wraps I need for the required resistance, it's an essential resource for rebuilding.

Considering the FDA allows PG in various processed foods, then it can't be that bad for you. It's also a prime ingredient in many asthma inhalers, which, you know, help people to breathe easier...

For those who love Mother's Milk, Nipple Juice has been claimed as a Mother's Milk killer and his store has just went live; I haven't tried either so can't comment, but I know Mother's Milk is quite pricey.

I'm not looking for an argument at all. It's your body.

I don't think the FDA think that people will vaporise the food and inhale it though, when they said it's safe in food.

It may well be fine - I'm just saying don't assume it is because you think it is. My old man used to think fags were fine when he was a lad. Even his doctor smoked in front of him...

There is already a thread running if you want to discuss the pros and cons of vaping/ ecigs http://www.pistonheads.com/GASSING/topic.asp?h=0&a...

This thread is more about juice and equipment.
