Maybe a rewick is in order...

I find that although the coil is fine, the wick loses it's ability to absorb juice - so it allows a liquid layer to form on the outside, which spits/crackles/floods. Fresh cotton seems to sort it.
I've just been replacing them when they die, hadn't crossed my mind to re-do them. Easy job?
Not sure on the Nautilus, but it's very straightforward on the Subtank, which like the Nautilus wasn't designed with user serviceability in mind.

Quick search on youtube should bring up several how to vids...

I think the difference is the subtank has a horizontal coil the Atlantis is vertical which will make replacing the wick more complicated, thats not to say it can't be done.

looks a mare to do tbh. I've dried the coil and it's no better. I'll take the whole tank apart tonight, drain the juice and dry the whole thing out properly. I'm quite surprised by how nice the juice tastes actually but don't REALLY want a gobful everytime smile

What power are you running it at? Might need to increase the wattage - they're designed for 20-30w - so it might be wicking more liquid than it can vaporise? Either that or it needs a new coil.

It's doable but a right faff. I gave up after a few and just bought a few genuine packs from fasttech!! Much easier on the Atlantis but still a pain, I prefer to rebuild a decent rta!

Talking of rta's has anyone figured out how the hell the juice control works on the Taifun GT2!!!!!! Jesus!! E-juice everywhere!! I mean EVERYWHERE! She was not happy last night! Settee got it, her dressing gown got it, dog very nearly got it!! Life was great last night frown

How are people running their subtanks?

Mine is on one hole airflow, and 14J (which is the same as watts until temp control is hit aiui). Red Astaire which is 70/30 pg/vg - want to go back to a higher vg juice.

Not used to having options - it's been over a year of one setting on the billet box!

^^^ Annoying when it leaks, had some probs at the start of using the Kayfun's but now have the hang of them.
If mine leak out of the airhole I blow through the airhole and have a tissue at the top and usually sorts it out.
Do not know how you fill up or supposed to fill the Taifun however this bloke fills it this way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfuOOgOvjL4
Worth trying, or you might be unlucky and have a dodgy clone.
How you got on with the Magma ?

On my Kanger subtank mini I don't use the RBA section, just buy the premade 1.2ohm coils and change it every couple of weeks. Firing at 17w/4.7v. I bought it for direct lung inhales so maximum air hole, its not so much a hole as a big slot.

Lankashire Steam Company Apple Bobbin at 3mg of nicotine and 70VG/30PG. They have a sale on as its their anniversary but read the note on the site as they are moving house "closed from the 22nd of May until the 1st of June"

Took it apart, cleaned and dried everything and it's good as gold smile I usually have it on 20 W as it seems happy at that. Assume I overfilled it slightly, I'll just put two pipettes in from now on, thanks for the replies fellas

Thanks mate, I only realised it had juice control yesterday and got messing with it but thought it got adjusted via the top cap! I'll try again tomorrow with a new build. I've been re-using my old Tafuns this week, still excellent to use but the gt2 is better with the adjustable airflow.

I havent touched the magma yet, been mainly using the Rose V2 & Taifuns all week going through the zamplebox juices again. Rose's are great (flavours spot on) but the ceramic cups have bust inside the tank so they need to be carved out, then its a struggle to get the new cups back in properly, just a tad too wide for the deck frown Better than the GT but more hassle to build!

Agree they are a pain, wicking every couple of days etc etc.
Way I am looking at it is "It's part of the fun" , not sure I shall think the same way a few months down the line.

I have never gone down the making my own coils route. After a year of vaping I still just buy coils for my K1, Nautilus and subtank.

So I bought a couple of clone RBA's - and an iStick 30w, pre-built coils and some 90/10 VG El Cadejo from Digbys.
Last night on a 1.2 ohm coil it was like breathing an angels breath - best ever vape ever - 1 single coil, at about 3.8v - 15w
I put a dual coil in there today, at 0.5ohm 30w again about 3.8v - but its lost that awesome taste.
Not overly impressed with my first sub-ohm,
Any tips?

This El Cadejo when its right, alongside Gins addiction are incredible.

Yep Gins addiction is very nice!!!

With RBA's I find I prefer around 1.2-1.3ohms all the sub ohm builds I've tried havent been as good, drippers I tend to build around 0.7-1.0ohm any lower and its too hot for me. I'm not a big dripping fan though, ok to test juices but prefer a tank.

What clones did you get? I find some are better single/dual coil and at different ohms.

Brain fart - should have said drippers not RBA's - I got a Tobh atty which with the 1.2 single coil was lovely, and a Derringer - which just seems too Airy.

I probably have too much time on my hands, like I said all might change in the future however I think the messing about and experimenting is what makes it work for me.

Havent tried these mate so wouldn't like to say. From what I've read though the airy ones are more for lung hitters (not my thing at all! I'm in clip if I try a decent lung hit and end up coughing my guts out!)

Just rebuild them to 1.2ohms if thats better, I've tried getting into sub ohming a few times but its not for me frown

Indonesia to ban E-Cigs. Some quality forward thinking here.
Although I hadn't realised that Canada and Singapore had a strong stance on the import and distribution of E-Cig products.

I've been tooting away all evening on El Cadejo in a Derringer, 0.5ohm dual coil on a mech, marvellous! I've had it a few times before, but this bottle is lovely. Derringer is a lung hitter though, I usually run it with one/one and half air hole(s) open.
