As above. Asked for gear advice on here (tx dai and the rest of the chaps) 30w istick and Aspire Nautilus ordered. Arrived 3 days ago and after 30 a day for close to 30 years, have smoked 3 fags on the first day and none since. No real craving for it and tbh, the last fag tasted pretty foul. Sense of smell and breathing noticeably better even after 2 days. Can't see me going back to fags now....

You don't know what you're missing Cotty, joking apart I like to get more involved which I think helps my cause.
Two months ago when I started vaping it was going to be just vaping inside and smoking outside, that was my intention.
Three days after I first started I was only smoking 1 cig first thing in the morning, within 2 weeks gave that 1 gig up also.
About 6 weeks ago got (still had a packet of Winstons in glove compartment)the urge before I went into the supermarket, anyway had 2 puffs and chucked it away as it tasted very bad.
Not touched a cig since that day and had been a daily smoker for 40yrs, never missed a day.
Tbh surprised myself.
My ticker on UKV shows im 388 days off the stinkies after 25 years as a 15/20 a day smoker. Smoked 2 the first week, none after that. I never wanted to turn vaping into a hobby. I just wanted to fill a tank, pop in a premade coil stick it on a battery and go. I didn't want to turn it into something I like because I wanted to stop doing it at some point.

Last year I was diagnosed with pneumonia, put on some heavy antibiotics which cleared it. The docs put me down as a non smoker so I never want to go back to cigs.

I got into lung inhaling that's why I bought the Kanger Subtank mini as it has wide open airflow. Helped me drop from 6mg to 3mg and now all my juice is 3mg. I use an Aspire K1 and Nautilus mini every day but like blowing clouds in the evenings. As long as I don't go back im happy.

I'm similar to you except I like the rebuildable side of it; yes it saves me some money, and I get satisfaction out of it - but I was equally as happy with plug and play. There's something for every one in vaping: cloud chasing, flavour chasing, coil n wickers, plug and players, DIY juicers, or premium juice buyers! What works for you, and you enjoy it, plus it keeps you off the smokes, is the important thing!

Bit like Pistonheads, we're all here for a differing love of combustion propelled vehicles...

I'm in an oddly similar situation to Cotty - Was always getting chest infections when I was smoking and just wanted a nice way to quit but Yesterday I somehow ended up with a new Sigelei 100W to play with when I'm at home

New Arrivals:

My first attempt (Resistance down at 0.1ohm which is a bit lower than I was hoping and runs very hot)

And with my ESP with it's new drip tip - the metal kept pinging off my front teeth and I was always scared I was going to chip them

Buying a drill today to assist me with coil making biggrin

Just ordered me one of these bad boys:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00S6CPG44/ref=red...

Authentic Cloupor Mini 30W MOD, The New Aspire Atlantis & Efest 3100mAh Battery.

Most of the lads in my social group have ordered one and said it works. They've dramatically cut down on smoking cigarettes.

Any input from anyone here who's spent time with one?
Anyone else have anything else to say about these? What other E-Cigs are they similar to? Are they rebranded? Any negative experience? I'm hopefully getting mine Saturday to have a play with and set up.
No personal experience, there's on long thread on it here http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Cloupor-Mini-30?highlig... and a couple of reviews here http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Video-Review-Cloupor-Mi...
Seems to mostly be positive but there has been mention of some known issues.

I've found my Subtank Plus to be a big improvement over the Nautilus and Atlantis tanks I was using before, on my Sigelei 50w the tank capacity and battery life is just enough to see me through a full day. I'm now down to about 3-5 cigs a day from around 30 so it's certainly having an effect! Just waiting on the Subtank starter kit coming out that Cotty linked to on the last page for when I'm out and about and I think I should just about manage to give up altogether!

Picked up my first e-cig setup on Monday at lunchtime and not had a ciggy since. Wish I'd switched over ages ago but glad I finally got around to it. Just a Protank2 and a VV Spinner II for now.

Anyone figured out an easy way to make your own juices with those sticky natural oils yet?

And what's with the 50-60W box mods that I keep seeing people talk about. Are they just able to produce more vape or what?

Care to list your top 5 off-the-shelf juices? Only got a couple at the moment and I know taste is subjective but if I see a few really popular ones I'll be happy to take a punt on them.

Not sure what you mean by natural oils.

I make my own juices and started with something like this http://www.vampirevape.co.uk/product/diy-discount-...

Essentially you use VG (Vegetable Glycerin), PG (Propylene Glycol), Nicotine and then flavour concentrates.

Mix it up at the ratio you want with the amount of nicotine you want (I'm down at 3mg now). There a calculator here to help you figure you the ratios/amounts of each liquid http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/apps/mixing_calc...

It's really rather easy once you have your head around it and much cheaper too.

If you're just after juices to buy then this is probably a good place to start: http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/reviews/e-liquid... you need to figure out how much you are happy spending though. You can go cheap like http://www.onepoundeliquid.com/ or you can go super expensive like http://allthejuices.com/juices/five-pawns/ (also a great site for juices).
