The DNA40 just turned up, for a 40w its tiny!!

Next to the istick 50 & 30. Also got some ni200 wire from stealth vape, they've got a deal on at the mo with 50% extra on a few wires

22mm attys just have a tiny overhang but nothing major

But pissed off about this though! Got a tiny chip in the coating and turned up already swiched on but 'locked' maybe ukecig test these before sending them out?

I'll chuck a nickel build in on Monday when I'm off but vv mode at 30w feels much better than the isticks, more of an intense/ticker vape. Maybe the isticks not putting out the full 30w @ 0.5ohms?

Small chip aside, it's feels excellent quality.

Got some 18650's on charge now for the mechs. Be interesting to see how a 0.2ohm build in the VS compares to a mech smile

0.2 on the VS at 40w will only be 2.82v, whereas the mech will be 4.2v reducing - more importantly, the mech at that resistance will be drawing 21 amps! So you'll need top quality batteries in the mech.

I'd be seriously hacked off spending that kind of money for it to have a chip in the finish.

Yeah not too happy, I'm going to email them later mainly so they're aware incase there is an issue with it. I've noticed a few have said about the coating but not on a brand new one!! The shark skin should be here Monday....pink to throw the missus and pass it off as the istick wink
If she sees a new mod on the table I'm in deep st again frown Got a big box of polybushes coming from Neos later, thats gonna be a tricky one! All my hiding places are full wink

Just charged up a Sony VTC5 & Purple Efest 35A so we're good smile

Where do you get the calculations Steve? Is there a decent app or chart to look at?

^^Haha know the feeling, got my own business account so she never sees whats going on there however she is always in when the postman turns up so am a bit snookered.
That mod looks great, can always touch it up and would not be noticeable and might be the reason why they have knocked the price ?
Just wondering how far we are from having a mod that can temp control ordinary Kanthal, was watching a chinese person posting on the boards however it is not convincing.

I'll let you know, got the RBA coil in it and nicely wicked by the chap in the shop. Not sure if we can mention shops on here but the one I use is so helpful, offered to build my coils if I struggle

Easy to build coils and once you do a few you get the hang of it.
This place http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?r=2.7&awg... is great for building coils and will give you a pretty good estimate of what the end result will be, if you get stuck with the settings just ask.

As long as it doesn't leak and it gives me more vape than my existing kit, I'll be happy.

Still quite the novice but I've not had a ciggy for 3.5 weeks now.

Great throat hit, lots of vape and can't see it leaking. 12 nic is too strong though, I'm buzzing a bit smile love the magnetic battery cover too. Well pleased and at that price you can't go wrong mate

As I understand it, it's not possible. Not a consistent enough relationship between resistance and temperature.

If it were a case of x delta in ohms equals y increase in temp, they wouldn't have needed to go to nickel.

Oh well, just do not fancy any more blinkin different wire.
Have boxes full of crap all over, and its only about 3 months accumulation and to make it worse now ventured into diy liquids.

@TX1 and @Twing

Looking good there. Have been on 18mg for 3+ weeks now, figured I might get away with 12mg in the Subox but perhaps 6mg would be better. I'll find out on Monday and order some more juices if so.

Are you guys getting through a load more juice then? Figured that would be the case.

Yes the Kanger will go through a lot more juice, I do not use it all the time as prefer the subtle vape of the Kayfuns.
Saying that every hour I do enjoy a few puffs from it and also from a dripper.
All with different juices :-)

just been to the shop and picked up some T Juice Red Astaire and 1.2ohm Kanger Tech dual coils.

I put one of the new coils in my tank attached to an E Lead 50w iStick and it is reading 1.5ohm. Is this correct? I presumed it would show 1.2ohm?

Also with this set up and Red AStaire what V or Watt would you vape at to get the best vape.

The latest black/white Subtanks came with 1.5ohm vertical coils, and it's only the last week that they've started to become available - maybe those?

I'd start at 10w and work up to what suits you - I usually vape a 1.5 between 14-16w, but specific liquids can change that.
