This thread is huge now and as usual the search facility isn't up to much so could someone advise me please? I gave up smoking using ecigs and gave up ecigs themselves after a while so I'm a bit behind the curve. I've just sold all of my old kit to a mate and he's having real trouble with coughing which if I recall correctly is down to the throat hit? How can he stop that? I always used low nicotine juices and he does too but he can't stop coughing. He's slightly better with the sub ohm kit and doesn't inhale into his lungs just holds it in his mouth and exhales.
In my bad memory I seem to remember that the PG VG ratio helps, but what should that ratio be? Any other suggestions too would be great as he's getting put off. Cheers.
50/50 is what I tend to use as I like a throat hit - I lung inhale though, mouth to lung gives more of a throat hit. Is he using the 0.5 ohm coil in the subtank? Mouth to lung on that will be harsh. Might be worth his while getting some of the new 1.5 ohm vertical subtank coils which are best suited to mouth inhales, and some higher vg liqui, mmaybe 70/30 - 80/20 might cause wicking problems, might not? It'll definitely be smoother - PG carries flavour better and gives throat, along with the nic; vg is smoother and gives more vapour.

HTH.

Thanks Steve, appreciate it mate cool

I tried another nickel build in the rose last night, even the thicker wires too soft/pliable & shorts out on the roses post holes. Maybe the twisted wire will do the job. Shame about that Aspire mod not having TC. Lovely looking thing frown

Thanks, I'll pass that on. I can't remember which coil he's using, the tank is, if I remember correctly, an Aspire Nautilus (?) and it came with two coils, one that was already fitted and another that was spare in the box - he's using the one that was fitted as I realised later I still have the box it came in and the spare's still in it. That probably doesn't help at all does it? hehe
Anyway like I said I'll pass on your suggestions and the one from earlier - many thanks.

Quick juice review - Njoy 'Hedon's Bite', by George of Mr Goodvape. One of a series of juices made by Njoy designed by the mixers of other well known juice firms.

The box says "Curated by Njoy, created by the world's top flavour artists, welcome to the artist collection - a sophisticated suite of masterful taste sensations, pushing the limits of experiential flavour indulgence". Although some words are spelt wrong, missing vowels and things. This makes me think that there's an American influence at play...

Described as a blend of tart green apple, sweet pink apple, dark caramel and honeydew melon, it's writing a lot of cheques with it's levels of pretention!

Gone through about 20ml, and gotta say, it's bloody lovely!

Not normally my sort of juice, it's light but with a lot of flavour. Makes my mouth water, and definite layers of the different flavours coming through, although not much caramel. This is a good thing, as it's a perfect light and fruity summer day vape. Aftertaste is all melon, which I'm not finding unpleasant.

Worth a try. As said, not my normal all day vape type juice - but with decent weather and a nicely balanced and very 'authentic' taste it's keeping me happy.

(May have been influenced in the writing of this review by a couple of glasses of crisp white, and a day of dealing with 'Customer Excellence specialists'...)

wink

Noticed the sub bit and immediately thought Subtank laugh

I'd imagine a new coil in the Nautilus will do wonders! I used to change mine weekly.

All of the tech on here blows my mind (coils, Ohms etc), i'm new to E-cigs and have a vype, but it is getting a tad expensive buying the cartridges. I notice they now have a new Vype E-tank which I presume will be cheaper, can I buy other liquids to put in it and what would be the best?
thanks

If it is this https://uk.govype.com/etank-clearomizer
it appears to be a disposable tank which they suggest changing every 2-4 weeks at a cost of £4.99, thats expensive

Here is a simple easy to use tank (Aspire K1) that I still use its similar in size to Vype But I think you will need a battery as not sure it will fit the pen battery you have. You only need to buy it once and just swap the coil
http://myepack.co.uk/aspire-k1-glassomiser.html

The coil that you replace is much cheaper at £1.75 each
http://myepack.co.uk/aspire-bvc-coil-head-1571.htm...

Either choice you decide you can use the juice of your choice. I like some of these

It might be better to go for the Aspire K1 starter kit
http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/Asp...

Ok its a bit more expensive but it does come with 5 replacement coils worth £8.75 and it will cost you less to replace the coils than the £4.99 for the disposable tank on the Vype

Been advised by my GP today to give up vaping to see if my asthma improves - had no issues for the last 18 months, but struggling with my asthma the past 6-7 weeks frown

I don't think it's vaping related, but we'll see. My Railbox clone is now for sale on POTV if anyone is interested, I'll not link to it, but not hard to find if you are.

Keeping the rest of my gear for now just in case the nicotine lozenges aren't holding me, but proper gutted at having to get rid of the RB and stop vaping cry

I didn't think the Triton was that big a tank. Capacity wise its only holds an extra 1ml of juice over the Nautilus mini but its big. Here next to my subtank mini

What's it like Cotty? Was thinking of picking one up today but didn't know the tank was so small. Any advantage I've the sub tank as I have two of those already

Cheers TX smile Railbox is already on hold! The Doc gave me the wrong prescription for lozenges, so I'll be vaping a couple of more days yet - keeping a hold of my other gear and will go back to high nic if the lozenges don't hold me...

Yes a proper bargain, might give them a shot even though out of space especially now I am attempting to mix my own.
Problem is you end up with all these little bottles you try once most of the time and never use again.
Personally cannot chuck them away so the stash just builds up.

I don't think the capacity is an issue when it is so easy to fill. Saying that I have not used it yet, just deciding which juice to go with.
