It's so satisfying because you aren't running it 20w wink Provided you are running in standard power mode, the D2 doesn't do step-down, so on a fresh battery you're actually running at 70w! Try a fresh battery at 7w and 50w and you'll notice no difference. 0.25 at 20w is 2.24v and you'd be lucky to get a wisp out of it. Do you notice the vape diminishing as the battery runs down? It's essentially running it's a mechanical would.

Joyetech evic mini does stainless TC properly and is £25 from Fasttech.
You know what, having tested it just now, you are absolutely right. I tend to use 20w on all devices, just a nice round number. What a load of crap that is, what's the point in having power mode if it doesn't actually do anything?

It's an old chipset that's been modified for TC - why they didn't modify it to work properly in power mode is beyond me. It stems from pre subtank days when most people ran 1ohm+ coils that generally needed more than 4.2v to get a decent vape - my old Sigelei 50w v2 was the same, as were quite a few IPV devices of the time. I very nearly didn't buy one because of this flaw, then found out you could bypass it by going in to TC mode and setting temp to max which meant it works as it should when using sub ohm kanthal builds.

They have the imaginatively named D3 coming out next month which addresses the issue, puts out 80w instead of 75w, and 75 joules in TC mode instead of the current 50 - very similar size/dimensions but a magnetic battery door - still no USB port for charging/upgrade and still ni200 or titanium, no stainless.

I'm still very happy with my D2 though smile

decided I was gonna cut down on the vaping and went to the vape store to get a new coil for my evic VT to see me through the last of my juice.

I came away with a Kanger Sub box mini, battery and charger, 30ml of I love Donuts and 30ml of VG Heisenberg, god damn my impulsiveness smile

I got the same email this morning. I don't understand the reasoning behind limiting tanks to 2ml.

They have also stated refill systems need to be 'leak free'. I can only assume this is a H&S issue (or maybe to limit consumption?) to stop eliquid leaking onto mods and skin. You'd think a larger capacity tank would reduce the frequency of refilling and therefore reduce the risk of leaking?

But yes definitely time to stock up on the big tanks!

Also for the Uwell Crown fans, they announced this rose gold version earlier in the week: http://www.myuwell.com/

Can't wait. Have already ordered an iStick 60w in all black in anticipation to use as a travel companion.

RBA deck for Nautilus and mini! http://www.vvtf.com/products/vvtf-nautilus-rba-dec...

Not sure if the eBay link is a clone or not? Be handy wee things as I've still got a couple of Nautilus mini, and my old man has a full size.

Hello chaps.

I am currently running an Aspire Nautilus with Spinner II and it lasts about a day. So I am looking for a battery upgrade; but with so much information I am unsure of my best option.

Also, I have a thing for grape with 6mg nicotine at the moment and I need more flavour! Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you wanted to keep it all Aspire the battery Packrat posted is the Aspire ESP 30W. one button to fire and turn on/off, knob on top to adjust the wattage, battery indicator and micro USP charging in the base.

Alternatively the 30 or 40watt istick will do the job

Life was so much simpler with the istick and one button! I am not techie enough for these clever vapes, I just need one button
istick is three buttons, up down and fire. The Nebox is very similar. It think it has a normal mode chose that and ignore the temp control and bypass options.

The best thing you can do is read the instructions which are usually quite good on Kanger products and watch a few reviews on YouTube. They should walk you through the menu and show you how it all works and goes together.
Thanks Cotty.

Had a long read and got into the controls and settings but no idea what sort of setting to run - my Heisenberg just tastes horrible at higher temperatures and wattage settings and lower ones it barely vapes!

I run my istick at 10W/4.4V and get nice flavour. Does anyone have any recommendations on settings for something more powerful and with temp control to achieve a similar result?

With any setup the settings is a matter of taste, with temp control I run my Sigelei at 186c and 17.8w approx.
The temp is pretty easy to setup as you do a dry wick test like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF3Ql0tYklQ
On mine after 190c the cotton starts to discolour (burning) so that is why am setup at that temperature.
Once that is setup just start firing low on the wattage and keep pumping up the wattage until you find what is comfortable for you.

An update to my order I placed last week.

Tugboat 80w TC mod (single cell)
Smok Xcube 160w TC mod (dual cell)
Uwell Crown in black.
0.25 coils and 0.5 coils.

All from fasttech. That should do me for the time being.

So basically the UK vaping shops shall not be able to sell them and we have to spend our money in China if we want bigger tanks, cannot see how they can regulate all those imports.
Lots of vaping businesses shall close as once you purchase successfully from china there is no going back because of the vast choice they have on offer and cheap prices.

It's a buyer market. The likes of gearbest and fasttrack get a lot of business due to prices. How can the gov control that?

Very true the gov cannot control the prices from China but these new laws are only going to make it worse and make us buy even more from China.

What can they do x-ray every package coming into the country and confiscate any tank over 2ml? What if your seen walking down the street puffing on a 5ml tank. Its pointless and will only discourage new vapers not existing vapers.

Exactly its all a load of crap pointless laws made by governments to look as if they are doing something.
They should be helping UK businesses not driving them to closure.

This is a load of bks, tobacco firms are getting desperate.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-333...

We need to distance ourselves from anything containing tobacco. If it has tobacco in it, it can be heavily taxed as a tobacco product which vaping is not.
