I appreciate this is a basic set up and at £40 all in not the most exciting, but is anyone else getting a little bit of 'gurgling' and occasionally tasting a 'sweet' taste which I assume is a small amount of e-liquid somehow making it's way out of the tip of the Clearomizer (assuming I have the correct terminology).
You are basically creating a vapour that is traveling up a metal tube into the metal mouth piece/drip tip. Sometimes the vapour condenses and reverts back to liquid. You need to maintain it, perhaps take the drip tip out and look down the top if you see a little pool of juice get a tissue and soak it up. Likewise you might want to wash it out every once in a whle. Some people just constantly use theirs, change juice and coils and just keep going. Taking it apart and running it under warm water should be enough to rinse it out.

AB also the istick you are using is pretty much the smallest they make. I realise people like small batteries but even the istick 30w is a tiny device with a long battery life.

I'm charging it once a day, and probably taking in more nicotine than I was before (being an occasional smoker) but I've not bought any cigs since I got this so I see it as 'healthier'.

Was a bit of a 'secret smoker' on maybe 5 a day, when work got stressful. I'd make an excuse to leave the office. The plan was to knock it on the head. Might try a 0 nicotine liquid and see if it was just the physical habit I was 'addicted' to rather than the smoke itself.

Sorry I was not being critical but you suggested that you might want an upgrade. I was just suggesting a very cheap upgrade of something you already use and understand that would give you longer between charges.

I'd like to give a dripper a go.

Are there any out there where you can buy off the shelf pre built decks?

The Velocity RDA is probably the most popular out there at the moment. You can buy pre built coils from all sorts of places, eBay, Vape shops etc.
Although it's piss easy to make your own.

Check these guys out: http://www.no1ejuice.com/rda-rba/

let us know how you get on.

If you don't want to wait to get it from GB (I know the pain, been waiting 5 weeks!) then UKECIG have it on stock for almost the same price

Is anyone else worried they're massively increasing their nicotine intake since stopping a 5-10 cigs a day habit and taking up vaping?

I went through 10ml of 12mg juice yesterday so bought some 6mg juice today and I've done another 10ml. I find myself 'vaping' when I'd never normally smoke, because I can.

Going to get some zero nocotine juice tomorrow and see if I can knock it on the head completely.

Nicotine is pretty harmless - I started on 18mg, dropped to 11mg when I got better equipment 10 months later, and now use 6mg. That's over a 21 month period - I've some 3mg incoming, but that is for low resistance vaping of <0.3ohm. 10ml a day is not excessive with current equipment. And a damn sight healthier.

If you're just starting out then I would expect you to be using it more than you smoke. Your body is craving all the other chemicals that are in stinkies but not in anything you vape. 10ml in a day is very easily done, I know people who have a significantly higher intake than that.
Start dropping down slowly when you feel ready. I've been vaping for nearly 2 years now and I'm down at 3-4 mg and I do really only use it when I need to now. I feel so much better than when I smoked and I smoked less than you.

If you think you are taking in too much nicotine, reduce the nicotine content in your juice.

Thanks Cotty, I now have a few bottles ranging from 12mg to zero and I'll experiment.

You find when you first start you never put the thing down and vape constantly. It will pass, these days I only vape when I have a beer in the evenings. But I am down to 3mg nicotine so my body is not craving lots of nicotine

You're quite right, I'm just scared I'm going to be making my body crave more by giving it more than I ever did. I'm pretty sure that's not how 'cutting down' works!

I'm loving the tastes though and I'm eating less, which is an added bonus.
