Recently got Mona's Pantry Blueberry Milk and Fruity Cereal from RedJuice, so far liking both. It's 80% VG which is about perfect for me, and running it in my Subtank with the new (and frankly massive) SSOCC coils I'm getting a nice smooth vape with no throat hit and lots of vapour and some nice simple flavours.

Just need to get my hands on a smaller kit and another Subtank Plus and I think I'll be sorted! It'll be year in July I've been of the cigarettes so it must be doing something!

Changed my coil tonight from the one that came with it (says 0.15 on it) to the one in the box (says 0.5)

I also loaded it up with the Choddy from LSC

It's ripping my throat to shreds and I'm not getting much flavour. Have I cocked it up somehow?

Just having quick look at this lint it appears that the battery has two modes wattage mode and Temperature Control. The Ni200 0.15ohm coil is for Temperature Control and the 0.5ohm for wattage mode. You need to grab your instructions and work out how to change modes to wattage for the 0.5ohm coil.

Ahhh thanks, I knew it had different modes (3 cliks to chnage) wasn't aware I'd need them for diff coils. Am back on the Ni200 for now but will try the .5 again soon on wattage mode. Thanks

Just taken my first step into this and ordered all sorts of stuff!

I've smoked for years and hate the smell. I need to do something. So... I jumped in a bit and didn't read up properly I've bought:

Kanger subvod mega
Extra 1.5ohm coils
Various liquids...
Apple & Cinnamon Pudding eLiquid by Digbys Juices (DJ-ACP)
10ml Bottle / 11mg Nicotine
Coney Cake E-Liquid by Liquid State Vapors (LS-CK)
15ml Bottle/ 3mg Nicotine
Powwow Sauce by Manabush E-Liquids (MANA-POW)
10ml Bottle / 18mg Nicotine
Virginia Tobacco E-Liquid by Vapourlites - 10ml (VL-VIRGINIA)
10ml Bottle / 18mg Nicotine And 10mg

I had no idea what to order (should have read this thread more!) nor did I realise I was buying a subohm machine. So, thinking that I've got a few different liquids and high and low ohm coils, should this give me a bit to play around with and figure out what I like?

All suggestions greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty new to it too.

The Subvod mega is decent enough but I'm already wanting a bit more control and as such am looking at (and hopefully trying) this tomorrow https://www.eleafworld.co.uk/istick-pico-including...

The Subvod will be fine to get you going though but be warned there is no battery indicator so keep it charged when you can else it will just run out with no warning

If you are subohming then the juices you've got will be far too strong. I'm on 6mg and already considering moving down to 3 after a week

Cotty is your man to explain it a bit better

I was planning on starting with the 1.5ohm and the stronger liquids. Then I'll experiment with the 0.5ohm and the 3mg liquid.

If the 18mg bottles are too strong then I'll bin them.

Just bought 110ml of liquids from LSC - ordered 100ml, the box has a handwritten note saying "Big Friday upgrade, all the best, George". Which was nice of them. The Boiler Watter is rather good on the sub-ohm setup.

Who do people find are the better retailers? I've used vapeclub for this today.

What brands of liquid should I be looking at too?

Bit obvious but read all the instruction if your new to this kind of gear. Definately drip a fer drops of liquid into your coil before putting it into the tank, then let it stand for a while so the cotton is totally saturated before using. Also read the reviews on YouTube they often show you how to swap coils and fill the tank

That will be a 0.15ohm coil not a 1.5ohm. You will have to change modes on the battery when you switch between the different rated coils.

There used to be lots of fakes about. But they can get the original kit so cheap now its not worth it. The proper kits come with scratch panels to check the serial number for authenticity. This is where I get my gear from these days http://www.gearbest.com/kanger-subvod-_gear/

Its all down to personal taste. Different juices can taste different from one person to the next. Most people look for a mix of 70VG/30PG in their juice. Prices are stupidly cheap to stupidly expensive.

Not tried but £1 for 10ml
http://www.onepoundeliquid.com/one-pound-tobacco-e...

Sleekit are ok, cheap ish and not fantastic £15 for 100ml. The lemon custard is nice.
http://sleekitjuice.mysimplestore.com/products?pag...

Paradisevape
http://www.paradisevapeuk.co.uk/

Middle of the road price wise but great quality Lancashire Steam Company. interesting flavours
http://www.lancashiresteamcompany.co.uk/collection...

Juice suppliers often have Facebook pages where they do sample give away's and post special offers like 20% off this weekend only, great if your ordering in bulk.

Its a nice size and fits in the hand well. Lots of adjustment, good screen, USB charging or change batteries. The door is held on with 4 magnets so stays in place The silver colored one wasn't seating correctly and the battery was rattling, I solved that by putting on a silicon sleeve that makes it nicer to hold. You know I like it as I have two of them.
Do you find that it sweats inside the silicon cover? I had one on a mod prior, and that used to sweat a lot. I must add though that I live in a tropical country so that could be part of the issue.
Leather cover if you don't like the silicone

Thanks Cotty.

The kit comes with 0.5 and 0.15 ohm bits, I've bought some separate 1.5 ohm ones too. I'm going to start with these as it seems a mouth to lung approach is the best starter when switching from smoking?

Sorry I completely missed that you had bought some extra 1.5ohm coils, my mistake.

I really wish they did not sell these as starter kits. Coils come in different ohm builds and you need a battery or often known as a mod to adjust the wattage to the coil. The subvod kit does not allow you to change the wattage. Put it this way I run a 1.2ohm coil and on the coil it states the best wattage range, in this case 12w to 25w. You play up and down on a variable voltage mod to what suits you.

The subvod fires at 35-40 watts. There is no option to turn it up or down. Im not sure how it would handle a 1.5ohm coil. The tank is great but I think you need a variable wattage mod so you can turn the wattage down to match the coil. If you are mouth to lung you should close the airflow right down and slowly loosen it to where it suits you.

I'd definitely make sure you at least run it in wattage mode (3 clicks and it will flash red) as a 0.5 on TC mode was ripping my throat up.

I've just set up my Pico at 35W on a 0.3 Ohm coil and it's lovely. I suspect I didn't give the mega enough of a shot on Wattage mode as the difference is night and day and I know it's a respected kit. The trouble is it comes with the Ni200 coil pre installed and defaulted to TC mode when you turn it on so I didn't know.

This Boulevard juice is lovely, really smooth and lovely fruits, different on the inhale and exhale, may well be the smoothest and nicest juice I've had so far

Thanks both. From googling it seems the subvod can run with a 1.5 ohm if in wattage mode. Will reduce to the smallest air hole and try it.

Wattage mode is going to be too high for a 1.5ohm coil. Im running my 1.2ohm coil at 17w.

Read up a bit more and realised that I've ordered a complete mishmash of stuff that won't work together! Liquids not suitable etc...

So, I'm going to cancel the order I made and switch to an Innokin endura vape.

Try one of these Ego AIO. The reviewers on YouTube are raving about it, as are a few people on this thread. Plus its cheap as chips if its does not work, but it does work very well.
