Just working how much ive saved on fags since changing to ecigs.

3 years worth of cigs spend would have seen me at least £9300 lighter based on a £8.50 average.yikes minus spend on ecigs and liquids probably £1000max.

After some reading and Youtubing, I'm going to grab an Innokin Cool Fire IV Plus kit with the Apex tank, and some 2ohm coils. Seems this is a good setup for MTL, well priced, light on the juice and saves me buying and then pissing around with batteries.

I think its more cloud chasing. I was using a Nautilus mini with a 1.6ohm coil for a mouth to lung vape like I did when smoking a cig. But I found on the widest airflow I was taking a restrictive lung hit. The sub tanks have a much looser airflow so switched to those but with a 1.2ohm coil, you can get a lung hit and get a bigger vapour cloud without it being silly and doesn't drink juice.
I've just been trying a 0.3 ohm coil.... yikes! No thanks. The nicotine hit is way too harsh.

1.5 ohm seems far more normal to me.

I've only just got my head around what the resistance means in the real world.

The Ego AIO came with 0.6ohms coils. Bought some 0.5 ones when i needed some more and it was like the vape was passing straight through to my lungs. Bloody awful and no flavour at all. Couldn't believe the difference that 0.1 ohm would make!!?!

Bought some 0.6 and all is back to normal. Also bought some 1.5 to see what they are like now I know not to go lower!

I would suggest sticking to 0.6 if they work for you. 1.5ohm will require less power and you don't have any power adjustment on the Ego AIO

Thing is with lower ohm coils you really need to use much lower strength liquid. At that sort of ohm coil you're looking at 3mg to 6mg max.

Running higher stregth goo (12mg or above) is a sure fire way to spin out fast!

I should try that.... the SubVod pen type vaper with a 1.5 is pretty good.... but I'm disappointed with the Smok Stick One plus - I think I need to experiment with sub ohm and lower nicotine. I was hoping the Smok Stick was going to be my main device as it's just the right size and quality.

I'm using a 6mg with a 1.2ohm coil in a TFV4 Mini tank (designed for subohm) this seems to work well for me, when running at 18-20W.

I started with a 12mg liquid on a 1.5ohm coil in a T22 @ 14W. I now find that to be very harsh.

The thing about sub-ohm is that it burns through goo fast. I was using about 2ml a day and in my Kanger Subtank I use more like 5ml a day.

There are however a massive variety of flavours to play with and many sites selling stuff at reasonable prices (£1/10ml)

This is very true. The TFV4 Mini burns through it so fast even with a 1.2 coil and 17W.

I ended up going for the new Innokin Cortex setup with the new iSub-S tank. I read on the Innokin site that this new tank was well suited to MTL. Also grabbed some 2ohm coils - all in about £45 on Amazon.

Just got it and fired it up, coil reading as 2.1ohm, set it to the smallest airflow (brilliant turn-click system on this tank) at 10W and wow, what an improvement from the Evod Mega. This will be perfect for the forseeable future. 3300mAh battery should last several days for me, and 2.1ohm at 10W shouldn't use much in the way of juice.

I also have the ability to go down to 0.1ohm temp control with the included coils (0.1 Ni200, 0.5 Ni200, and a 0.5ohm BVC I think) at 80w, which I expect would be mental.

I'm using the Aspire Pegasus with a 0.3 ohm coil and Triton 2 tank.

Decent bit of kit but quite heavy and unscrewing the lid can be an absolute nightmare at times.

Question for the TC rebuilding gurus!

Has anybody managed to make a Ni200 Clapton coil? Ive found my ni200 0.28 & 0.26 gauge wire so might give it a shot. I've seen a few done with Nichrome but I don't think my DNA40 (God bless her) works with Nichrome only nickel. Tried asking in the Vape shops.....may aswel ask the dog!

Some awesome builds on YouTube with Nichrome but I can't find much bar twisted nickel to work on this DNA40 (God bless her....again!) awesome mod...honestrolleyespunch

Looks good.

I've struggled to find anything with a smaller form factor than my current mini iStick and Nautilus Mini but for a while now it's been playing up (the iStick) by not charging or holding charge but I think it's down to how flimsy it is and how poorly put together it is, I think the charging port is goosed.

I just need something that you don't really notice in your pocket.
