Couple weeks in with this Crown tank & Clapton Ni200 coils now, no drop in flavour, all good at 40w, definitely needs more power though to get the best out of them.

Just swapped the coil out for a 0.5ohm stainless.....wow!!!! Just chucking the flavour out at 30-35w but the ohms seem to jump from 0.5 to 0.7 sometimes if I turn the power up above 35w? Anybody else having that problem? No leaks (yet!) top filling either.

I'll try the normal ni200 coil next week smile

I've switched back from clapton coils to SS as I was chuffing away at 30w and getting nowhere.

First hit on the SS coils nearly blew my head off!

I think the claptons probably need 50 or 60 watts to really get going and I don't have a mod that can run that yet.

Picked up a load of different type of fancy Youde wire for $0.99 each! Local Vape shop wanted between £6-10 for these wires! Billy bargain!!!

I had my Crown tank turn up yesterday. I'm using the 0.5 coil but am still playing around with watts. The coil is rated for 35-80 I think? I'm currently at 50W with the airflow almost fully open. 35 was woring, but I'm finding more flavour from the Bunkr juice at 50.

Really impressed with it, flavours outstanding on this thing beats all my drippers! Just need to decide on a more powerful mod now and see what these Clapton's can do, tempted to give the IPv6 a shot next looks like it does everything smile

What's the Crown rba head like?

I'm using a crown on an IPV D2 at the mo, Ni coils for the first time in joule mode, temp set to 398 and 50 joules. Not as good as the SS coil yet, but I'm less than half a tank in yet.

Also got a pico with a subtank nano 0.5 coil. Great little device.

Really impressed with my Pico, gonna try my Kanger Subtank on it next week when I get some new coils

I'm using the smallest of the sub tanks on it as my topfil one has goosed itself and will not register a coil on any of my devices now.
With this tank though it's a great small device for out and about.

Having done some research it seems I need to start low and turn it up step by step. With a new coil advice seems to be to start at about 20j and 380f then couple of tokes and bump it up 10/20 degrees and a couple of joules a time.
I've got through half a tank at low settings now so will just bump it right up and see how it goes. Will report back.

Last post I promise, there is the other thing you can do with the crown too of course and that is use the stock SS (stainless steel) coils with a mod that can do temp mode with SS. I'm looking at the RX200.

I am currently using the Melo 3 tank that came with it, but 2ml is starting to annoy, I trial fitted my subtank last night and it seemed to fit well so will give it a run for a week or 2 and see

On that note, I dont like the acrylic/plastic drip tip on my subtank, does anyone have a good place to buy new drip tips?

Some nice tips there, not seen that shop before. I tend to just use derlin tips now.

I've seen a Darth Vader one I'm trying to resist buying just because, seems they also sell on Amazon which is good

What's a Derlin tip? I've been considering a glass one as well

Derlin is (as far as I know) a heat resistant plastic. The one you just linked it made with it.

I've got a couple of glass ones, quite like them too.
