The Kanger coils are some of the most reliable and consistent out there.
Not sure about the other ohm coils but the 1.2ohm coils suffered when they moved from horizontal to vertical coils. I can't do a long inhale with the new coils as I end up getting a burnt taste, this is at only 17w.

0.15 I believe, as supplied with the purchased kit.
I would suggest that 40W is not enough power for 0.15ohm. To get good flavour at that resistance, you're going to need a mod capable of at least 80W, preferably 120W plus.

I think that decimal place is in the wrong place, that should be 1.5ohms, that is not a sub ohm tank. It would not work as a kit if the coil required more power than the mod can provide. Perhaps the power is set too high, recommended Wattage: 8W-20W

If you want my suggestion for a replacement tank then the Aspire K3 fits the bill. It uses the Nautilus coils without the pain in the ass of unscrewing the nautilus tank. 1.6 and 1.8ohm coils which will be fine using half the 40w on the mod

New toy arrived last week, Eleaf Icare. Absolutely tiny this thing!

Pic next to my DNA40 & Istick30

Ideal for what I wanted it for, just to use while walking the dog and something pocketable walking back & forward to work, battery lasts a good few hours with heavy use, juice lasts ages, 50/50 seems best and needs to use double your usual nicotine content to get the best out of it. There's no fire button on this just works off your inhale.
Only issue (but a pretty big one imo!) it has autofired on me when the top cap was off after filling it up. No idea why just started on its own and kept going until I touched the plastic insert then stopped.

So a good little device but this auto firing thing is a worry, seems a common problem.....could go bang if left unattended with the coil fitted eek That's a bit scary!!

Ah. I recently bought a Smok H-Priv and the supplied TF-V8 coil is exactly 0.15 ohm, so I think that threw me! I run it at 120W and it vapes beautifully.

The TECC Curve VT40 is definitely supplied with a 0.15 ohm coil. I have decided to contact TECC and ask them why it is not working as it should. Even suggesting that they might refund me on the basis that no matter what settings I change, there is very little difference in the experience. An never any taste that coincides with the vaping fluid I have bought. Tried so many and no luck so far. I am sure there is something that I am not doing right but I just want one that I can unpack from new, put vaping fluid in and get on with it. I don't need, or want, to become a vaping expert, build my own coils or understand any science behind the experience. There are some incredibly knowledgeable people on this thread and I wonder what I may have uncovered!!

Seems that it's a Temp Control device?? 0.15ohm is normally the standard for NiChrome coils.

This might help?

Take a look at some YouTube vids and see if your doing anything different?

The VT40 is a rebranded istick40

It's definitely a 0.15ohm temperature control coil. The device itself, not the tank, is as mentioned a rebranded istick 40 which has been on the market ages and works well, my Wife uses one. I would forget about using it in temperature control mode full stop, it's not very good at it and wastes battery life; I would follow the advice given above and change the tank for something more mainstream like the kanger as mentioned, get higher resistance coils circa 1.5ohm and run it in power mode only at 15-20w. My Wife has a clone Ubertoot tank (rebuildable so not what you're looking for) runs at 18w and the flavour is exceptional for a tank using the same device you have.

What brand of liquid are you using? Some of it is cheap ste and tastes of nothing - get some premium Uk juices from the likes of Digbys', Manabush or PlumeBlu and you'll definitely taste a difference.

Manabush are doing 25% off, plus code POTV12 gives another 12.5% = 37.5% off. Need to be quick as it was only supposed to be for the weekend but is still active today. You need to create an account and be logged in for the POTV12 code to work wink

Thanks to all who have responded. I shall try the different liquid first and then clamber over to the Kanger tank. I am pretty sure that it cant be too bloody hard to get some pleasure out of this vaping thing!

Spoke with Martyn at Manabush and they are running the discount until the 19th as the 20th is TPD day and all stores must comply with 10ml bottle sizes etc from then on in frown

I love the vape from my TFV8, but it leaks like a very leaky thing, I've tried all the suggestions on the internet, 3 different coils and I may just as well pour the bloody e-liquid straight down the sink.
Really frustrating.
Anyone got any suggestions for alternatives that actually hold juice?

Bagged some Manabush liquids and suddenly we have flavour! What sort of sh!t must I have been buying! It is certainly a lot more, how should I say, gloopy (thixatropic!) than previous liquids. Thanks for the excellent suggestions from all. I may even plump for a new tank too at some point.

Having tried the 4th coil in the tfv8, with the same result (what's the definition of stupidity?) I'm am now sitting here puffing away on my kangaroo top tank equipped pico. Maybe I'll stick with that, it's great but I really was taken by the flavour and clouds of the v8 frown

If it's leaking from the same place as mine (where the glass tank meets the metal bit at the bottom) place the rubber bands that came with it around that area, I presumed that's what they're for ??

Did you try the coil fix of reseating the earthing wires? That always works for me.
