I'm not convinced that the 20700 battery technology is any better than current 18650 batteries that are readily available? I have one of these mods, a Joyetech Primo 2.0 and it's been a cracking mod so far; available here for $21 including tank! https://www.healthcabin.net/joyetech-evic-primo-20... Be aware it's Chinese new year and the country grinds to a halt for two weeks from today wink
Thanks for that, I used 20700 as an example, I don't mind if it's only 18650 as i have like 8 of those. Rather clumsily, I was trying to describe the size that I'm after, 2 "full-size" batteries, and that joyetech looks exactly like something that i want. I do have a bad experience with ordering from China, but more importantly are you happy with the reliability of it?

Thanks.

I'm very happy with it for the £17 I paid for it - it's in rotation with quite a few other mods and is holding up very well so far, though doesn't see day in-day out action. Seems to be putting out the same power as my very expensive DNA mod, and temperature control works very well on it too.

I'm after an advice of learned vaping aficionados of PH.

I'm after dual 18650/20700 mod box. I was really pleased with smok alien 220 kit (i believe that was the name) but the peeling of paint was annoying and the unit just stopped working.

I bought some cheap Movkin Disguiser, but I don't find the form very comfortable.

I do like the look of IJOY Captain PD270, any experience of them?

Thanks.
I had an iJoy 270 for a while, got on ok with it until it died a dew weeks ago. My mods have a pretty hard time of it at work, regularly being dropped etc and the iJoy didn't seem to like it.

I replaced it with the new wismec rx2 20700 a couple of days ago and it seems to be very well made. The included tank isn't up to much but with my bonza dropper on it, it's awesome!!

You did better than me with your alien though, mine lasted about 2 weeks!

That looks exactly like the format that I like. But I'm too forgetful (and lazy) to have more than one mod at the time. I'll have a look and probably still order something from the UK, just in case it breaks down again.

Thanks for that. You see, that format of rx2 is not appealing. I found size and format of alien, as good as it gets. But the build quality was shockingly bad. So much so, that I'm not interested in smok mods anymore. I still like baby beast tank (apart from leaking but never had a tank that didn't leak).

I'm looking for very basic mod, I just want wattage control, not interested in building coils or titanium this, or heat control at all.

Like you, probably more, I do drop them A LOT.

I've got one of these and 2 26650 batteries that I swap between and it is fantastic (as long as you don't push it past about 50W with a 0.3-0.5ohm coil)

Dropped it so many times and nearly every bit of the soft touch paint has come off but it still works just as it did in sept 2016 when I bought it. Used it every single day.

Didnt end up getting the Trillium as it was out of stock from the place in the previous links and and they said they wont be getting any more in..

Got an Aspire Atlantis Evo tank instead...and am very very happy with it.

For the previous year have been using SMok Baby Beast and found very very few liquids worked well with it...

The Evo runs so much smother and consitently - annoyed that i wasted a year with the SMOK - now getting to try flavours that previosuly would be really really harsh in the SMOK and then coil would go within a day.

Running at 38.5W on a 0.4 coil which is giving me way more smooth flavour than what I was getting on the SMOK .

I've been using a trillium for just over a week now, it's OK. Flavour isn't as good as the Uwell Crown though. The filling approach is OK, but the 2ml capacity is annoying.

I've recently hopped on board and am running a Smok Mag, a somewhat silly drunken purchase after getting annoyed at a flat battery on a V8 Stik.
Just picked up a shortfill Dr Frost Grape Ice from Stratford Vapes and am quite enjoying it.
Half tempted to get the larger spec tank for the Mag, rather than the EU 2ml deal.

I have the baby beast so thanks for this list - will go and purchase this tank..

Would you have a recommendation for which coils are best if vaping at 30 - 50 w on 50/50 or 70/30 juices ..

Generally always found aspire coils for my nautilus 2 to be good so would sticking to aspire Atlantis coils be ok?
The gold Tobeco's vape beautifully, for a couple of weeks at least, circa 35 watts

I've been vaping for a few months now. I'm pretty goddamned sick of it now. The relentless lack of reliability is getting on my nerves. I find it bizarre that it's so hard to get something that just... operates. Nothing seems to work as it should.

Would also like to know.

Some cracking kit on the market now for not much money.

Seconded on the Aspire Nautilus (or newer variant) recommendation - I've had mine so long that the 510 thread is starting to wear out on it. It's super reliable.

This someone recommended the K3 to me earlier in this thread and I've been using mine since and it has been brilliant.

I have a couple of spares but haven't needed to use them yet they are fairly indestructible.

Lovey old mini, I lost it when I went to the states 2 years ago frown

Old tech now really but still a cracking little tank. I replaced it with the Triton Mini but it wasn’t as good.
