A bit of help if anyone can...

I'm going to try doing this vape thing (again, or properly this time). I have a thing, I think it's an iStick or something and an Aspire tank but it's quite long/tall and it's always leaked which was one of the reasons I couldn't be arsed with it.

Anyway now I see people with much shorter fatter battery things and tanks, and I'm wondering if there is something I can buy to get a bigger and shorter tank and end bit which ideally won't leak. Also if anyone can suggest a good place online to buy minty liquid, because I'll be fked if I'm fannying about going to a special shop every week.

TIA
They pretty much all leak mate, haven’t had a leak free tank yet. Some are worst than others, TFV8 was terrible for leaking, may aswell emptied the bottle over my hand and save on battery life! But every one I’ve got will leak at some point (why I keep a sheet of kitchen roll in my jacket!!)

Can’t realy help with starter kits but there’s tons of choice now. I wouldn’t get anything mechanical (mech mod) or anything rebuildable (where you make your own coils) though as you’ve got to have a decent understanding on battery safety first or it could easily go wrong and cause a nasty accident.

The pod systems have come along way in the last year or so and are a great way into vaping from smoking as they give a similar draw to cigarettes and generally easy to use/fill up. I’m out of touch with the best available now.

Check YouTube for some reviews and planet of the vapes forum for loads of info/help. Take a look for starter guides on YouTube and they explain everything to you wink

I’d avoid anything SMOK though. Never again....

Aspire products have a great reputation, my Nautilus has been 100% reliable and free of leaks over the last 18 months, a joy to use and the coils are reliable too.

Aspire Speeder with Revo tank would be my recommendation for a good beginner setup

What liquids do you use? I never had a leak from a TFV8 although they had other problems

Currently using an aspire cleito exo which is pretty good at keeping its liquid in too and the coils aren’t as short lived (plus you can use the old Cleito coils to increase the capacity to 3.5ml)

Newer version with top fill and cheaper!
Does that use the same coils as the original? I aske because my Kanger has started leaking like crazy but I've got bloody loads of coils hanging around and it seems like a waste to get a different tank if they aren't compatible

Depends which coils you used in your old tank - I think only the SSOCC will fit in, the OCC old ones (think these were all square) won't fit in the tank

I would have thought the Zelos kit from Aspire would be good for someone starting out vaping. It comes with the Nautilus 2 tank. The original Nautilus it what I used to quit the cigs

My friend has one and the quality of the mod isn't good (like most aspire mods). wouldn't keep it's screws in place, kept falling apart! tank isn't too bad though, better than the NautX
