toastybase said: Spoke to him two days ago, was in a bad way. Wife left with kids in tow. Thinking of going round keeping an eye on him.
Lesson learned, will go back in the morning and check on him. Thread Title: "So it has come to this..." OP: I was conversing with a male acquaintance on Sunday, he seemed very dispirited, possibly depressed following the unfortunate event of his wife having left him and having taken their children with her. So poor was his apparent mental condition that I thought it might be a sensible idea to visit this person and offer moral support and be on hand to hopefully stop them doing anything silly to harm themselves. For selfish reasons, I decided not to bother. It transpires that my original thoughts were well founded and I now feel remorse for putting my own concerns foremost in my considerations. However, he's still alive so I don't need to bother with that right now, but I will pay a visit tomorrow to assuage my guilty conscience.

Look out! An enraged wardrobe has escaped from Farmer Brown's field and got caught up in the branches of that lake.

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

This conversation is just silly.
Then again, is it a conversation?
We both think so.

Psst, I hear that the rooster is now getting involved with the albatross.
And soon there will be a three way with a chicken.
