Not sure if my new office has AC.
Old office (tractor cab) had AC, set to about 17 degrees at this time of year.
Thing is, its NOT hot, not by a long way. Its too fecking humid, thats all. We very rarely get a lovely dry heat in this country.

Recorded 43 degrees once in the height of summer, with both the front and fire-exit doors wedged open and all the windows. The company was too tight to buy an air conditioner.
It was hell on earth. 43 degrees?! No f king way would I be staying at work (assuming it was just an office) in that heat, whoever was running that show is a moron. Our partners aren't frivolous spenders by any means, but they do recognise that happy and comfortable staff are efficient staff. Air con was lovely today, absolutely dry as a bone, although have been wearing white shirts all week to avoid any unsightly sweat patches!

It was hell on earth. Just had a sudden flashback....sitting at my desk in a glass fronted/ roofed dealership in Adelaide, February 2003. Rolling brownouts across the city so no power for a few hours, It was cooler going outside....47.3 degrees (the hottest day in South Australia for something like 50 years) IIRC we saw 50+ on the temp gauges on the cars in the showroom.

I did some contracting a while back for a modelling agency. And there were models running about all day. Most in underwear for a shoot. Was middle of winter. It was the hottest office I'd been in!!

I freaked out yesterday and had a go at the facilities manager as my office had reached 26degC. Air conditioning tech has been called in over the weekend to make sure everything is working properly for my return on Monday.

While the OP's got 38 and 26% humidity, I've got 26 and 38% humidity and exactly the same meter as the OP, but I'm not sure why I'm telling you this so goodnight!

I work in an air-conditioned office. Unfortunately so do some women, so the aircon is off and the radiators are on. I can't even open a bloody window as we're in Canary Wharf!

Not an office, but bloody roasting here the last few afternoons. Living in a converted loft has its downsides in the summer - it's been nudging 40c indoors according the last few days. Can't complain though, it's a nice dry heat, and it's a damn sight better than the cold grey wet weather we usually have!

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how does one measure the temperature of one's orifice? I'm sat here with my finger in my bottom whilst looking at my watch, just getting confused.

Symbolica said: It's 28 degrees outside, but thanks to the bizarre properties of this building it's a lovely 18 degrees in here, there isn't even any A/C or ventilation. Same here. My office is a large converted Georgian townhouse with big rooms, high ceilings and large sliding sash windows. Despite being 27/28c outside yesterday it was just 'warm' in here at about 20c which was great The only downside is that the central heating had to work overtime in winter until we had a twin boiler system put in.

Im on a building site in Dubai, with no air con.
For years, the wettest place recorded on earth was a tiny village in Borneo.
The new location is the gussett of my long suffering shreddies- wetter than Rod Hulls roof.
It was 46 for much of last week- luckily its glass fronted to make sure you boil. Jeans are stuck to undercrackers which in turn are welded to my wedding vegetables.
Its somewhat uncomfortable.

The garage was about 34 degrees yesterday, while wearing overalls and boots and under a car. Torture.
