i found a bag last year with an i-phone in it, a purse full of cards and cash, and an engagement ring amongst other stuff.

i kept the phone and cash, sold the cards on for £100 a piece, and my (now) fiance is wearing the ring. tough luck on the bint who left her bag in the laydeez bogs. i don't have a problem with it, but all my friends did.

i am telling porkies, but it does happen.

Eltax, I do love a happy ending. Nice to hear of slight of hand going into the bag as opposed to out of it!

Eltax - 5 grand! yikes

Nice that you managed to slip 50 quid in her bag, also hope Karma catches up with the lady too!

I know, the Mrs was beside herself. It was about 4 hours all told. It didn't help that all I got from the minute we realised what had happened was 'I never wanted to buy that fking car, its all you and that stupid websites fault'. She never did get on with the mx5, but I had a hoot. hehe

At the time, we had just got a house and engaged and it was pretty much all the money, save for a small rainy day fund that we had to our name.

I did get a call back from the house insurance people, saying if I had a crime number then I would have been covered, but 'lost' isn't. So, if it should ever happen to any of you, the bag was stolen, whilst you were in a secluded street, with no witnesses and no CCTV!

Fair play, glad to hear it turned out alright. I think we've all been at the point of losing something important, that horrific moment when your blood goes cold for a moment...

I spotted an old man collapsed in the street last Sunday.

Stopped the car, tried to help him out, was complaining it felt like he had been given an electric shock was a bit shakey. He was carrying a massive bag of money to the bank (it was Sunday), he thought it was Saturday. I thought he had been mugged.

I got him in the car eventually and said i would take him home, but on the way i pushed a little more on what had happened. Sounded like he had a heart attack of some sort (said his arms went numb) so decided he was going to hospital against his initial will i guess he finally agreed, dropped his bag of cash off at home and took him to the hospital where it became apparent he had a pacemaker and there was something wrong with it.

Anyway long story short waited in hospital for a wee while till he was taken to a specialist unit. Went to see him a few days later. His pacemaker needed some sort of adjustment.

Anyway, somethings are easy to do! although i would hate to think anyone just drove past the bloke before i got there.

My prize for doing the only right thing................... blood all over my cream leather from when he cut his hand on his fall. Meh!
My wife was so proud it was steak and blowjob night all over again! NICE!

Mate of mine found an iPhone outside his flat before. Pressed the center button to see a load of txts from a bloke he knew saying stuff along the lines of "I would have so shagged you tonight" "u should have answered your phone I would have ruined you tonight" etc etc.

Mate took a photo of the phone along with text messages , tagged the bloke and put it on Facebook asking if anyone knew whose phone it was. Lol

The bloke wasn't best please, but the girl did get her phone back and she saw the funny side of it. Haha

My daughter had any epileptic seezure while out walking her dogs on the outskirts of our village.
The male spaniel decided it best to sit by her and bark it's head off while the female decided to lay down in top of my daughter where it was nice and warm.
Anyway a group of teenage lads, walking back from footy practice found her.
They called for an ambulance and looked after her as she came round.
The ambulance man knew my daughter from previously and so the lads were able to bring the dogs home.
Great bunch of lads, wouldn't accept any financial thanks and so ended up only with a can of Pepsi each as a thank you.

Of course, none of it was her fault for being so fkin' stupid as to leave 5 grand on the train....oh no, not in the new 'no responsibility - I am a victim' Great Britain...

hehe I did mention it was her handbag which was left behind, but, in her defence, we were off to buy an MX5, a PH icon and my first RWD car. I was somewhat distracting, bouncing around like a kid at Christmas and generally rushing her.

When we finally got the cash back and sat down to soak it all up, we came to an agreement that it was a 50/50 blame situation. That's relationships for ya. wink

A few years ago I was working for Nokia and was in Finland and had to get the train from Helsinki to Tampere. A train came along and it wasn't clear to me whether this was the train I needed to get,so walked to a guard and he confirmed it was mine. So I jumped on, with my suitcase and sat in the buffet car. Something didn't seem quite right and as the train started pulling away i looked back out at the platform and realised in my haste to get on the train I'd left my laptop bag on the platform. That bag contained not only my work laptop, but my passport, my car keys,, my iPod. Etc etc. I felt sick. Got the girl from the buffet car to call back to the platform and they advised that the bag had gone. Gutted. Got to Tampere, reported the missing bag to the police and they told me I had no chance of seeing it again. Went to work the next day and spent the whole day trying to sort out how I'd get home, get my car etc. I returned to my hotel that night and got a message to call Helsinki police station and found that someone had handed my bag in. Went back to Helsinki and everything was still in the bag! Couldn't believe it! They gave me the number of the person who handed it in so I called and he told me that he saw it there and didn't want some drunk getting it so he took it to the police. My faith in humanity was fully restored that day and I arranged for some booze and chocolates to be sent to his address just to say thanks...
