Following on from the discussions in the 'Show us your Zippo' and 'Things we want in the PH shop' threads, let's have a look at your tools wink:

I'll go first. This is my 'Wave' which I bought in the US back in about '97. There are so many uses for this thing!:

So, let us have a look at yours.

Why do you want to have a look at my leathery man? Pervert!

Mine is sat in my locker at work. Bit it is this one, with a home made carabina attachment to make it easier working on the back deck...

Mine's the same, with same leather pouch - it has been a faithful servant from 2001, and always has surprised me with some of the uses. Given the way it has stood up to some abuse, and the many uses, has been well worth the money.

I nearly lost it once going through security checks at Luton Airport as it was in my hand luggage. But when they saw the look on my face, they were kind enough not to confiscate it. I was directed back out to landside, and was sent to find a vending machine selling prepaid padded jiffy bags, which I was able to post the leatherman back to myself at home!

That's a good idea.

I nearly lost my swiss army knife on the way back from Tobago 4 days after 9/11 as the hand luggage rules changed while we were away, but they let me take it on in the end.

Don't have a picture of mine handy, but it's one of these:

Laura, my partner/GF/OH/whatever, bought me it for Christmas a couple of years ago.
By far the funkiest looking of the leatherman.

Very much so. I like to keep the saw attachment extended for extra... Well... You know.

My old wave!

Still in use nearly 15 years after purchase, possibly my best value purchase ever as it has been used almost daily since! Hmm might need to upgrade it biggrin

That's exactly how I ended up with a Zippo in the post this morning, thanks to The Nur and his Zippo thread.

My 10+ year old Micra. Well-used and missing a few bits:

Although I usually only use this bit these days:

Must admit I prefer my Gerber to my Leatherman. Mainly becuase I can use the pliers without the edges biting into my skin.

Still great bits of kit. Have one in each car and the tool box and one in the house. Overkill?
