You may think that you "need" just one but that one will be lonely,it'll need a mate, and extra cases and then all the accessories, next thing you'll be over run with them.

Here's my New model Leatherman Surge. Just £74.50 from Gooutdoors. Bargain, cheapest that i could find it for in the uk. Not enjoying the leather case though.

Mine says hi...

I fully agree regarding the leather case. Wish I could make something like this...

I lost my leatherman in the garden, 3-4 years later I was digging and dug it up, gave it a wash under the tap, bit of a polish and it's like new

Not a Leatherman but I've just ordered a Gerber Suspension from Amazon.

At 20 quid delivered it would have been rude not to smile

That was fascinating. I would love to be able to collect all my EDC items together and ask him to make a case to fit them. The case that came with my Charge is rubbish. The elasticky bits are just not up to the job. And I'd want to hang it horizontally off my belt too.

There are a few people selling custom cases on Etsy but none of those shown really float my biscuit.

I've already got a Skeletool, so I don't need it but I thought it would be a bit of fun for 20 quid.

Reviews seems to reasonably favourable.

I bought one as a post Christmas present to me and have genuinely used it almost every day since. It's almost invaluable for the type of work I do and all seems to work well and feel fairly solid and well made. Knife is sharp, pouch sits on my belt nicely and I can't really see how spending £30 extra for a leatherman would have really given me anything better.

Yes... The ones on Etsy are okay but I don't think they are the same quality of the one in the YouTube clip.

I'm half tempted to buy some leather working tools on eBay and have a go myself... Only half tempted though!

This is my default gift now when buying someone a birthday present.

Can't believe something so good/solid can be bought delivered for about £20.

People always think I've spent a load on their present too!

Same here! Have got a perfectly good Leatherman Blast that has performed faultlessly for the last 10 years but at £18.30 the Gerber suspension was a steal. Always good to have a back-up wink

I purchased the BG version for the rubberised handles. £22, can't argue with that!

I bought 3 ages ago £20 in a pack with a headtorch, gave the head torches away. I don't really rate the suspension when the leatherman wingman is only £35.

I do keep a modified suspension (knives removed) in the car but I have been meaning to switch it out for a wingman.
