I have this - http://www.trueutility.com/products/tu247

It's brilliant and adds a negligible amount weight or bulk to my keyring.

British company too yes
Nice. I wonder how it'd fit in my Orbitkey?

Thats the old style surge, and the top news blade looks knackered.
Yeap the one without the replaceable wire cutters.

The top blade isn't knackerd it is the wingmans half serrated half smooth blade.

Love my old Leatherman FUSE.

The knife locking bit broke after about 7 years, Leatherman fixed it for free though.

Used to keep a little Leatherman Brewzer in my wallet too.
Handy for opening boxes at work.

The bottle opener is the worst designed thing ever though.
Putting it's jaw in the middle means the leverage is all wrong. The serrated edge often takes a bite out of your hand too!
I have one of those too. Great thing and comes in very handy more often than I ever thought when I bought it. It was a spur of the moment purchases from one of those gadget/blokey shops when it was closing down, they had a stupid sale on and I got it for £20.

I bought a leatherman at a boot sale last week

Didn't notice it until I saw a guy pick it up , I used my mind warping powers PUT IT DOWN! PUT IT DOWN

When he did put it down I pounced, asked the woman how much it was , £1.50 , get in

I'll take a picture when I get a minute

It's a bit rusty in a few spots, wonder if warranty covers that

My Wave, Surge and SuperTool300. My Wave is 14 years old and starting to show it's age now, the SuperTool was a warranty replacement for a Core.

The Surge is my new toy, now the Wave is wearing out.

The scissor spring on my Style PS has broken again, so time to use the lifetime warranty again. The annoying thing is that I rarely use the scissors and the blade from the Style CS would actually be much better, but they don't do the pliers/blade combination.

Bugger!

I sent in my broken pst2 Leatherman with broken scissors after reading this thread.

It has just arrived back still broken with a note saying:

Please note. This product is now discontinued. We no longer have spares.

So back to using a Swiss Army knife for me.

HOW?!! Mine has survived horrendous abuse! Also, does yours have the straight or serrated blade? My skeletool has the straight blade and I'd be annoyed if were to ever send it off for repair and get it back with a serrated blade.

Most cases I have heard like this they have just sent out the modern equivalent...

Bizarre!

I sent my Leatherman Core a couple of months ago, and that's been discontinued for awhile, so they automatically sent a new Supertool 300 as replacement.

25 year warranty!
