Bugger!

I sent in my broken pst2 Leatherman with broken scissors after reading this thread.

It has just arrived back still broken with a note saying:

Please note. This product is now discontinued. We no longer have spares.

So back to using a Swiss Army knife for me.
IANAL but surely if it's still in warranty and they don't have spares then they have to replace it with something of equal quality?
What's the point of the warranty otherwise?!

I have an apology to make to Leatherman.

I had it posted back to my parents knowing they would be in to receive it. When they opened it and tried it they thought it was broken.

Today I have been to collect it and its working, its just a little stiff.

So I'm sorry Leatherman for thinking you hadn't fixed it, and thank you very much for replacing my scissors.

Now I fully understand that no-one is going to believe me but I lost my Wave a few weeks back. Earlier this week, I finally succumbed and bought a new Juice Xe6 (thought I'd go for the non-locking blades). When I opened it my first reaction was how small it seemed especially in it's case.

Anyhow, Mrs Stemll gets the bag with the SatNav out this morning and look what was in it!

There's not a lot in it when opened up but the Juice is quite a bit shorter folder (bit thicker). Now, wonder if I can lose them both long enough to buy another one and lose the very worn Squirt S4 I use as a key fob to get a Micra. smile

I have a Suspension, Wave and Style... Style is most useful, on my keyring.

The others get occasional use...

How do you guys get so much use out of yours... Daily use.

How much cutting can one man need to do!! I love my Wave. I want to use it more!!!

I think I used the pliers once, and the little screwdriver once! Ha

The style gets used more for opening packages at work, levering things with the screwdriver and pompous filing of my nails in meetings with high levels of bullst.

I'm an electrical engineer and a scout leader. It's always in my pocket and therefore always to hand when anything needs cutting, adjusting, tightening, hitting or opening!

Got given a Sidekick a while ago, only took it out of the box last week as thought it might prove useful on a job.

Used it constantly, brilliant little thing.

I bought a Wave in 98 from Walmart in Anchorage. A couple of years ago I was at a Defence driving show and was chatting to a fella about the issue of L/mans and Gerbers being issued to the military. I mentioned my Wave was quite well worn and he offered to send it back for repair. I was made up! Few weeks later a new version of the Wave arrived, I was gutted at first as Id had my other one for so long but it wasnt in great shape. I do like my Wave but now I have seen the Suspension I may have to add that as well lol.

How? Just ordered from the US? Looks really nice, but £115 is a bit more than I'd like to spend!

I have a wave and a Suspension.
The suspension is an inferior product.
You'll be dissapointed!
