Do you have a gooutdoors near you?? Mini-tools are doing the Wave for £85 so gooutdoors will charge you £76.50 with the price match plus 10% off.

If you want cheap leathermans buy of ebay.com. Got my last few from there, around £50 all in inc shipping if you hunt for a bit.

Here is a wave
https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Leatherman-Wave-83004...

£56 quid delivered. Brand new, about 10 day delivery.

Even better deals for used models (don;t need to worry with the leatherman life time warranty). Bought a Surge for £35 delivered

This is mine. I bought it for my Dad around 20 years ago. Dad died a while back so it's mine now.

Cost me around £70.00 I think and being a bit of a tinkerer he used a lot when living in Spain.

I have visions of your dad using that in Spain to open mussels that hadn’t opened when being cooked in a paella, mussels not opening doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re bad, if you open them and they don’t smell bad, they’re probably okay, but I think that if clams don’t open, junk them.

I have a wave, but it now contravenes the locking knife/length of blade laws. From memory the blade has to be about 4" long and locks out. It stays at home now in the kitchen drawer and is a go to tool for general quick jobs around the house.

Highly likely. Also when fishing from the rocks at Nerja, messing around with rooftop barbecues and cutting string to hold makeshift sunshades.

I managed to lose my Style PS at the start of lockdown, it is so annoying I’ve taken it everywhere for 10 years, but managed to lose it at home.

I’ve been using an old Swiss Army knife in the meantime and it has only highlighted how much I missed having a blade on it. I found the scissors useless and only ever used them like a knife.

I have started looking for a replacement, but Leatherman don’t seem to make what I want which is either a hybrid of Style PS/CS with pliers and blade. Or a Skeletool without a locking blade - I need something that I can carry everywhere.

My key requirements are:
  • pocketable
  • blade (non locking)
  • bottle opener
  • pliers
  • screwdriver
Has anybody got any suggestions?

Squirt?

I carry my wingman pretty much everywhere outside of work, but I'm not fussed about having a locking blade considering where I live and the sort of things I'm doing when I'm out and about with it.

I think I prefer the form factor of the Style PS/CS.

Unfortunately there has bee. A lot of stabbing a where I live, I’m not likely to be Profiles to be stopped and searched, but Given the anti knife movement here I don’t want to run the risk.

I have one of these; non-locking and UK legal. Not a Leatherman and no pliers, but pocket sized, well made and pretty well priced (£32):

They also do versions with scissors or a saw.

A bit bigger, but how about a Leatherman Juice S2.

I did come across that and it looks suitable. Good to hear that you think it is well made.

If you don’t mind a SAK, the small Rambler offers a good range of tools in a tiny package. Very useful and a classic ‘friendly image’ if stopped by the Police, but rather more flimsy than the Spyderco.

For a few quid more the minichamp is a better option.

It's probably smaller than you are looking for but have a look at the Gerber Dime. It's not as precision as a leatherman or SAK but pocketable and useful none the less.
