Why did I get divorced? Because my wife had an affair with some bald, tattoo'd genius at work, and tried to cover it up. In the end, after nigh on 2 weeks of not seeing her, I confronted her. She said she didn't want to be married any more.
I watched her pack a bag and leave back in Nov 2004. We divorced just over 2 years later. No kids, thank God, just a place in Florida she paid top whack to buy me out of in 2005.
After our divorce finalised, the value of it plummeted by about $200k. I nearly felt sorry for her. Nearly.
Between my fathers financial advisor and my solicitor - who was also the betrayed party in an affair - I think I came out better. Within 3 weeks of her leaving, I was seeing a girl 11 years younger than me. We split weeks later, but shevwas the best thing that had happened in a long time. A few months later I met the Gil I'm marrying in 6 weeks time.
I made an awful mistake marrying the first time around. it was a relief when it finished.

Some good reasons for getting divorced. For me, I am well and truly glad she is out of my life. A more money self centered b h I have yet to meet. Every thing was always about how much she can spend (Waste) on herself of her family. Good riddance, even if it did cost me dearly. The new girl, who I have been with for almost 3 years, is such a breath of fresh air, works 6 days a week. Certainly a good few years younger. I lifting spirit, a delight to be with, just so easy to live with, not so much as a raised voice. No hangup's, "do whatever you want to me" she says. Yeah, Life's great. vette

Particularly when there are judgemental idiots like yourself about. Yeah, I didn't feel the need to comment on any one else's as they all came across as the victims or wronged parties in their particular domestic drama. Now that could be because they've slanted their version of events in their favour, the lying deceptive b ds that they are. Really I can only applaud your bravery for telling your story honestly even if it makes you seem like a tosser and then refrain from making any further comment to defend yourself If you really think I'm out of order you are not ready for the internet, it's full of judgemental idiots whose powers excede mine by several orders of magnitude. I may be about to spend some time in the sinbin, at least I'll get some work done.

I did what I did, & believe me I had my reasons, got caught & paid the price in more ways than one. I don't see how me being honest gives you the right to call me a tosser. I don't know if anyone else on the thread has been truthful or distorted the facts. I certainly didn't. If you have something constructive to say then fair enough - however with regards to my situation you don't.

Long term (7 years) partner so not exactly divorce, but scrambled eggs was the final end to it. I am proud of my scrambled eggs and put a lot of effort in to making them perfect, anyway things had been a bit rocky for a while but wanting to make an efort I suggested we go out to Southampton for the day with the kids,my daughter and stepson,so I said you go and get ready and I will sort breakfast out. Long story short, she comes downstairs while I am in the middle of dishing up to the kids and not had time to clear up. "Whats all this f king s t on here" she proclaims.I just said if I cant make breakfast for the kids without being sworn at their really is no point. I just got my stuff chucked it in the car and that was the end of it.

I think if a woman wants to fight like a man then a strong restraint (not a slap) is in order but to smack a woman because she's ranting is totally wrong.
Imagine if someone hit your mum, sister, daughter just because she was angry and ranting - youd go mental.

Personally, I don't believe it's ever acceptable to hit anyone else, male or female, whether I'm drunk or sober.
