Keeping with the Essex vibe, I always wear white socks when going for a sunbed. Black ones always seem to conduct the heat and make the old chap extra sweaty.

I think the rule has always been to match the socks to the trousers.
So if you lot are brave enough to wear white trousers white socks is a must, unless you're an extra special fashion devil, then you need to wear deck shoes and strictly no socks!
